I should have read these reviews before I signed up for bill.com. My account was deactivated for no reasons by the so called Bill risk team after I have setup invoices and received payments from customers. I think they are profiling their customers, since no tangible reasons were given for deactivating accounts. If you are company looking to scale, do not use them.

Hi **********, we apologize for the poor experience. We can assure you that we do not profile our customers in any manner. There are a variety of compliance related reasons that can warrant an account closure. I have found your account and contact information in our system, I will have my team reach out to assist.Talk soon,****** Manager - BILL ******** Escalations

Forced to use this service to receive payment from several clients. Accidentally signed up for a Corporate Plan and wasn't able to revert it back to free without paying a $69 fee. Couldn't even log into my account to see what invoices were going where without paying the fee. Accidentally created a second business due to this, and attached a client's payment to it, and now they're forcing me to pay another $69 fee to change that plan back to the Free version. Customer Support was ZERO help. Horrible experience and will NEVER recommend them. Refusing to accept payments from my clients through Bill.com.

Forced to use this software to receive payment from my employer. Next to impossible to get through to their support. I've lost $1,250.00 in the Bill.com auto-depositing system that I will probably never get back. I've been trying to contact them for over a week at this point to no reply via phone. IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CALL THEM DIRECTLY - TAKES MANY DAYS TO GET A REPLY FROM CHAT. Every reply I get from chat says please allow us 1-2 days to investigate your case. Has been 7 going on 8 days of this. Very unacceptable business practices. Support is all outsourced so the people you do speak with via chat are very limited in their comprehension of the english language and financial language. Also they charge you 1% of each invoice total in order to pay on time, otherwise payments show up 5-7 days late.

If I could give them less than 1 star, I would. DO NOT engage this business. They are a fraud. I was shopping around for another payment processing company and decided to try them. I went through the process of opening the account with no problems. I directed 2 clients to use their service. I then get a notification that I must go through "verification" which includes 3 months of bank statements, drivers license, state formation papers, IRS letters and tax returns. I supply all of this in less than 1 hour from the time I had to jump through hoops to read the letter. Please note, THEY STILL HAD THE MONEY INTENDED FOR ME IN PAYMENT FOR THE SERVICES I RENDERED! After 2 weeks of back and forth, they lock me out of my account. I demand answers and threaten to report th to the Attorney General and then they send me some message that goes to my "junk mail" saying they cannot approve me. Again, this is AFTER, you take my money and provide NO EXPLANATION on how I can retrieve the funds you accepted on my behalf that was intended for me. THEY STOLE MY MONEY!!! And to add insult to injury, all of their JUNK MAIL goes directly to my inbox, while my dear ****, goes to junk mail. ****** learned. I have NEVER engaged business with such an unprofessional, fraudulent company. MY first hint should have been their chat only option. I will be reporting them to the ** and ********** Attorney Generals and I will file a police report. They should no longer be allowed to do business.

This company has given me nothing but headaches. Terrible about following up after submitting documents. They just go ahead and deactivate your account and no number to call to get answers. I got someone on the phone they told me " for security they can't tell me why my account is deactivated. Even with my id uploaded and my bank account attached, I couldn't know about my own account. They have live chat, and everytime you ask for help on there, they say " we will follow up with an email" no email and no answers. TERRIBLE

I found Bill.com impossible to set up, and with limited customer support, and ultimately abandoned my attempt to use it.I was using Bill.com for a single transaction with a single client. The excessive paperwork and administration required to set up the account was hard to believe, and there was very limited customer support. The account would be repeatedly deactivated and closed, without assistance, despite our requests. They were reasonably responsive and apologetic, but could never actually offer any assistance, and apologies don't actually help get the job done. Ultimately, we had little choice but to abandon our attempts to set up a Bill.com account.Given my experience, I find it hard to believe that anyone can use Bill.com, but they do have a lot of customers, so I have to assume that my case simply fell into a crack.

Why can't you give out negative stars. The company I worked for tried to use bil.com, hoping that it would help their tutors (myself included) get paid faster and with more options. The process was supposed to be streamlined, so no payments would be disrupted but of course, people can choose to utilize other aspects of bill.com if they would like. I received an e-mail from bill.com on the day I was supposed to get paid, so I signed up and received log in information. This was all done just by me typing in my info, like when you sign up with any website. But then they refused to give me my check because I could not verify my identity. (My purse was stolen just recently and I do not have an ID, and now I don't even have money to get my ID since they've been holding my money for almost a week past my ay date.) I understand the importance of protecting our identity and our finances, so the precaution is understandable. EXCEPT, how the **** can you open an account and have someones money when you didn't verify my identity in the first place? Who's to say someone else didn't open up that account. The account should have never been opened, therefore my money should have gotten direct deposited in my normal bank account. I was finally able to get ahold of someone on bill.com, who, after a while of explaining that I cannot verify my idenity, seemed to be quite helpful. Reassuring me that they had escaled it, he gave me a case number and said it would be taken care of. After a couple of days and still nothing, I got in touch with them again. This time, the person stated there was nothing they could do and for me to contact my employer. YOU HAVE MY MONEY! WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERES NOTHING YOU CAN DO. Luckily, my employer acknowledges that this change shouldnt' have ahppened, they apologized and I should be getting paid within a day or 2, finally, thank goodness. The fact that I already have enough to deal with, but then to have this happen, it's ridiculous.

DO NOT do business with BILL.com! They are still holding $1,210 that my employer deposited with them for over a week. My employer switched over to using BILL recently. **** sent an email stating they needed a routing and account number for direct deposit, which I provided. On Nov 30, they sent a test deposit of .01 which cleared o both ends. My employer sent my pay to them on Dec 6. which was never direct deposited by ****. I spent hours each day for the past week going back and forth between BILL and my PayPal checking account. **** continued to insist that they had processed it. Yesterday after 4 hours, **** now says they needed documentation for my protection (Drivers license, Paystubs, Utility bills, passport, bank statements, government issued photo IDs, etc.) before they could process my direct deposit!!! I checked with my employer - NOBODY else at our company was required to submit any documentation!!! Why was I singled out? I can only assume it is because I am a senior, over the age of 65 years old! I have emailed them these documents THREE times and they continue to say they have received them! There is no way to speak to a real person on the phone, and these poor folks trying to help online in the chat box are clearly offshored. They have been of no help at all. I am a senior citizen and feel that I have been unfairly singled out. I have had numerous bank accounts over the years. All I have ever needed to do to open a new account is show a Drivers License and either a paycheck to make a deposit or cash. I am insulted, outraged and extremely frustrated with BILL.com I have asked my employer to use another company for their payroll services. Obviously there is a reason that BILL.com is not BBB Accredited! And I guarantee you that all BILL.com will do is post an apology below and say they will look into the matter. They'll assign a case number ticket, which supposedly goes to your message center but absolutely goes nowhere! BILL.com is a huge headache!

Bill.com needs some major overhaul when it comes to customer and sales service. After going through the chat room, because no one is in customer service who can take a customer phone call, I was directed to chat then speak with ******************** Representative, ******* ***** to request purchase of additional services needed for ********************* to sync/integrate with Great Plains. **. ***** promised he would get pricing to me and in the interim sent a link to Bill.com on how to sync. That was on October 19, 2022, and after leaving several follow-up email response and voice messages on the phone number **. ***** left, I have not had any return response. This leads me to inform ********************* management the service Bill.com / BILL provide *** not be what they (Summit) need for their business. Today is October 31, 2022 and still no response from Bill.com BILL. A call would definitely be appreciated to continue business.
