1 starBuyer Beware!! Will never buy another PIT BOSS SMOKER OR PIT BOSS PRODUCT!!! So our Pit Boss Smoker caught fire during the night!! Yesterday evening we smoked some burgers.. same start up.. same shut down as we have done for almost 2 years of having it! & We used it quite often! We ended up unplugging it & went on about our night... This morning the smell of smoke was horrid, go outside to see it was burned up!! We are very lucky nothing around it caught fire!! ***** spoke to a manager **** with customer service and he said all they will do is send us a new ******************* & hope it doesn't happen again (oh & he would throw in a bag of pellets!) talk about a slap in the face!!!!!! NO!!! The metal is warped, even the door seals are ruined! He basically called ***** a liar for how we used it and advised us that maybe we need to call customer service every time we start it & shut it off... RIDICULOUS!!!! Pit Boss truly DOES NOT stand by their products or customer service!! He didn't give a c*** about us or the product!!!Dansons

1 starI recently purchased a PB pro elite 1600 pse nothing but problems out of the box will not Connect Wi-Fi or Bluetooth I am an IT engineer I tried everything before I called them no luck after calling them at least 5 times and and going through their support team nothing was resolved so I called one more time and ask for a Replacement Controller since this device is not working as advertised they said no so I asked to talk to a supervisor who basically refused to address the problem and refused to send me the replacement controller he just blew me off and hung up I paid ***** dollars for a piece of junk which I cant even use this Company needs to be held accountable for the fact that a lot of people are having issues that refuse to fix this company was recently purchased by ******************* I have complained to them also and they have not responded but I will not stop until they fix their product problem,know company should be allowed to treat customers like thisArthur M

1 starIf zero stars was an option, I'd select it. I urge you not to purchase a Pit Boss Grill. After 2 years, a grill that costs several hundred dollars shouldn't fail to work. They claim to offer a 5 year warranty on parts. We first called on 5/24/23 and was told they'd send a new control board. It took over 2 weeks to ship the part and another week for it to arrive. Unacceptable. We installed the new part they were convinced would solve the issue and no, still doesn't work. On June 8, after many phone calls, another part was ordered. It is July 4th, almost a month later, and the part has still not been shipped. We've called many times and are always given the same story, there is nobody you can speak to to escalate a problem. One **** ****** actually told me "I could transfer you to a supervisor, but I don't want to". Danson, if you're reading this, go back and listen on your recorded calls. We've had a inoperable grill sit for 6 weeks and still haven't been sent the part. Shame on you Dansons for making a grill that fails in 2 years, and do not make false claims that parts are covered for 5 years when you don't send them and you monopolize the parts as they can't be purchased elsewhere.Review fromAngelica B

1 starPurchased a pit May 24th didnt receive it until june15, 2024, and after building it come to realize the grease pail hook is missing! I call the company and they wont give me a replacement! It wasnt a cheap purchase they want to give me 50 for there flaw, what am I to do about the grease and the paiil situation? **************** is so rude, they have your money that is all they care about! 1 starI purchased a Pit Boss Pro Series upright smoker about a year ago at Lowes. About 90% of the time smoker would burn back through the auger tube into the pellet bin and ignite all the fuel pellets at once. Pit Boss Support said that the controller board was bad and they would send a new one. They told me that it was in stock. After a week I called back and was told the part was on backorder and was in transit to their warehouse. As of today the board is still on backorder, still in transit, and my smoker is inoperable. They cant give me an ETA. My feeling is that if they are still able to manufacture new smokers then they have parts somewhere. In a few days I will have waited 3 months for a controller board. This is ridiculous and totally unacceptable. Pit Boss smokers are junk and the companys ability to support them is non-existent. Mine is probably going to the scrap metal recycler if I dont see a controller very soon. Ill let my attorney recover the money I spent on it.Dansons

1 starThese people do not even deserve one star.We purchased a $1000 Pit Boss smoker less than 6 months ago and have had one issue after another. We have had several conversations with both the company and Lowes. This has been ongoing for a couple of months now and Pit Boss has decided they will do nothing to help our situation!! One of their final suggestions is for us to hire a handyman to fix the problem. Really??!!We have run out of ideas on how to get your company to either replace this item or return it..Dansons

1 starI would give negative stars if I could. I ordered a Pit Boss combo on 3/20/24, I received order and shipping confirmation right away. It arrived on 3/27/24 with a huge hole in the side so I called immediately. They agreed to send me a new one but the order continues to just sit there. I have called and emailed multiple times only to be told 'it's close to being shipped'. Once they get your money, they don't care if you get your order or not. I wish I would have picked a different company and brand.Dansons

1 starI purchased a PB1000PL March 23 2023. Within the first 3 uses of the grill it started having issues. The company has sent a new control board, and now two igniters. *** spent more time replacing parts on this unit than actually using it. *** requested a replacement unit multiple times as it seems that this is just a leman and Im told we replace parts. Personally I dont feel as this is sufficient to the amount of issues this unit has had since it was purchased. They continue to advise I contact the retailer ********* which in turn directs me to the manufacturer. Its a back and forth game. I just want to enjoy the unit that I purchased without worrying about another breakdown.Dansons

Our scope of support begins and ends over the phone. Anyone with any grill that we manufacture can call us and we will offer to troubleshoot free of charge. We depend on our customers to let us know what exactly is going on with their unit. That includes an accurate description of the issue, the sound, and what happened before, during, and after the issue. If, after proper troubleshooting, we the manufacturer determine that a part or parts are needed to resolve the issue, we will make that recommendation. If the customer is still under their manufacturers parts warranty, we will ship those parts free of charge. 1 starIf I could give no stars or negative stars, I would!! I was looking for a cover for my Pit Boss Grill/Smoker and was struggling to find one on my own so I called Pit Boss directly. The customer service rep that I spoke with said he knew exactly what I needed based on the information I gave him, so I ordered. They sent me the wrong grill/smoker cover. I called to tell them what happened and was told I had to pay to return the cover, I had to call them with the tracking number, I had to watch and wait for it to be delivered then call them back stating it was delivered before theyd refund me. Heres the kicker, (remember this was THEIR ERROR) they never offered to correct their error nor would they refund me the full amount I paid stating its their policy to not refund initial shipping costs nor will their system even allow them to do so. No manager would speak to me about this, in order to make this right. Again, their error and I am out $40 due to their incompetency.Dansons
