I'd give 0 stars if I could. I enrolled and started with 1 class, during week one I realized it wasn't for me and decided to drop and withdraw. It took them 2 weeks to even get the drop and withdraw to happen. Then I got notified that I'd still be responsible for paying the tuition. I literally attended 1 week and that's it. What a scam of a school! Fast forward a year later, I find out the used some of my Financial Assistance to pay for the course, filed taxes on it, and now submitted the remainder to collections!University of Phoenix Response

This school is horrible! It took so long to reenroll. And I accepted my loans the full amount and the financial aid office decided to change the amounts on their own without disclosing this information. Once I am done with these last 2 classes I will never return here. Its hard to get in contact with my enrollment rep. *** process to from beginning to end has been horrible. It took so long for them to accept my classes from another college. I honestly believe I paid for classes I did not have to take.University of Phoenix Response

I applied to this university in early October. I have encountered countless predatory behavior. I had my transcript sent to the school in a matter of two days. It is now the end of December and my credits have not been included into my account. However, I was signed up for class without my consent and marked absent for a class that I did not even sign up for .I have been transferred from person to person with no real solution to my problems. It is absolutely unacceptable that it would take this long to enroll a student properly into a university, and absolutely predatory to encourage a student to use do the new student course, knowing that you would be charged for it and force to move forward in the program without your transferred credits. Im super disappointed in this process and its sad how predatory this school is coming off. Its very unorganized and unprofessional.University of Phoenix Response

I had a great experience up until I only had 4 classes left. DOC 723 class was grueling with little help or feedback. My first attempt almost everybody in the class was redoing it and now I'm on my second attempt and once again almost everybody in the class is re-taking it. Not one single person passed in my first attempt. Being a college professor at a proprietary school I chose University of Phoenix for the flexibility along with the willingness to help students. I was highly disappointed in a failing grade as I had never received anything underneath minus in the last five years of my college education through University of Phoenix. I feel as though there should be more help available in this specific class and that the fail rate is probably below the national standard of what it should be in this class. The changing of my dissertation chair four times did not help the situation as each one wanted different requirements. I really hope that this class is looked at specifically from an academic leadership standpoint and is addressed appropriately.University of Phoenix Response

After speaking with the enrollment person, I was told I had to put my credit card information into the system for them to continue to evaluate my transfer credits. I was pending that evaluation and never heard back from them. I left it as they didn't want me as a student and moved on. Five months later, I got a charge on my credit card for upcoming courses I never selected. I never even agreed to a program of study. NEVER give the UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX a credit card before you have all the other documentation and agree to a program of study or courses being selected. I now have to go through the process to get it fixed. RUN, don't walk away from UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX.University of Phoenix Response

I started business marketing in July online all we needed was basic information to sign up and start school, no tax form or no high school scores none of that. Fast forward a couple months *** makes the news for misleading ads and whatever, I was three courses in and a few months from finishing and out of nowhere UOP stops financial aid. Now they get the bright idea to ask for tax forms, high school credits, household size etc. I honestly believe this school is a scam why let me get so close to being done then stop everything and ask for the information that should have been required when I signed up. Now you guys drop my courses and stopped my financial aid because I dont meet the new requirements I just find it crazy you guys lie about working with major companies for job opportunities and have to forgive a certain amount of money now you guys try to back and do things legitimately I guess. I see why graduation rate is 27% I would also highly recommend doing research on the school before applying.University of Phoenix Response

I am a current student with 5 classes to finish. The University of Phoenix advised me in June that I can no longer receive financial aid due to falling below a 2.0 in 2021. I dropped a course that I was told that I could pick up after I am able to take a short break from school due to health issues with my child. When I filled out their appeal it came back that I needed to include a class I failed in 2016. After the appeal process and reaching out many times they put me in disqualification status and I was told I can no long ask for an appeal. Every time I asked what information I needed to include in the appeal, I was told to just apply what I have and they will tell me if it is approved. They did not tell me there was a *** on how many times I can apply for the appeal. After being disqualified for financial aid I was told I could take a 6 month break and come back with financial aid or I can transfer to a different school. After going on the 6 month break, the financial aid department advised me that they never told me that and I would have to pay $1364 per class. I have asked numerous times for the contact information to speak with the **** and each time I am told that I can not speak with the ****. Now I am not able to finish school because I will not graduate by March of ****. This has caused me panic attacks and stress. I am out almost $50,000 and nothing to show for it. I have worked hard with school especially being a single mother of 2 and working full time. My heart is shattered. I was sold a dream and when it came close to finishing, it was taken from me. Every time I call its a different story and 3 to 4 hours on the phone daily. I am not sure what else to do or who else to contact. I cant change schools because that would be more or less starting over, and I wont have funding for it. Any help would be much appreciated.University of Phoenix Response

absolutely relentless sales practices. They use autodialers to call you once you fill out a form on their website but dont leave messages and when you answer they hang up on you. I called and asked them to remove me from their calling list after 4 days of being called 4 times per day and they told me they can't remove me from their calling list unless I give them more of my information. How does that even make any sense? Absolute scam business practice!University of Phoenix Response

I read in a few other reviews about how this school does not care about you and thats a very true statement. I began mulling the idea of college last winter and decided to go for it I applied for my fafsa the beginning of June and it was approved within a couple days so they wanted me to get my classes started which I did Im now in my third week of classes and I still have no financial aid because they claim that they are still processing how much I need. They say they cannot tell me if Ill even be eligible for enough to cover my classes and now I found out that Im responsible for almost a thousand dollars for the class Ive already started if for some reason financial aid falls through. Their advisors are completely inadequate Im pretty sure by the background noise Ive heard a few times they are nothing more than work at home customer service people that dont really know much about the school. If your thinking about going to college please dont go here.University of Phoenix Response
