    If I could give negative stars I would because this service is an absolute SCAM! We declined the plate pass upon our most recent car rental because I am familiar with the area we were driving and knew we would not incur any tolls with our Hertz car rental throughout our trip. We were charged for two days of use $9.99 plus the nominal toll fees when we did NOT even use the toll. The company likely programs the transponders to an unreasonable sensitivity to pick up the toll activity even if you are remotely near a toll. My rental was charged at a time stamp for a toll usage when we were NOT EVEN ON THE **** DRIVING. The time stamp of one of the tolls "incurred" was at a time where the car was turned on and moved several feet in a residential driveway, no where near a toll responder. Further, the second toll was incurred at a interstate that is adjacent to a toll road, and we didn't even enter the actual toll road. I didn't realize driving parallel to a toll road would incur a charge. Since we declined toll pass coverage originally at the pick up of the rental, we were able to be refunded a portion of our charges. I would love to have ALL of my charges reversed since a toll was NEVER used although the responder picked up activity mysteriously. Had the responder been turned off as requested, there would be no charge at all. Its absurd to pay a 550% markup on a toll that was 1) never triggered and 2) IF we actually had triggered it it would have been a cost of $3.75 , but all the admin fees tacked on make this service absolute robbery!!

    I was charged by PlatePass despite not incurring a toll - the small print says I have to activate PlatePass and incur a toll in order to be required to pay. They sent me an itemized list showing $0.00 in tolls, yet still charged me, and also acknowledged that I declined the all-inclusive service.I went to the PlatePass website, and submitted my comments, only to receive error messages in response. I then forwarded copies of the error messages and my original complaint to PlatePass directly - hopefully they provide a meaningful resolution and I can update this response.

    This place is a complete scam and i dont know how they are still in business. I went through the tolls with my ezpass and was charged then i get a bill with some insane toll activity claiming i owed $108!! the the representative cannot read toll statements and going to tell me how to properly use an EZPASS!! I will never ever rent from anyone that chooses to do business with this shady company and BBB needs to do better to access these businesses.

    COMPLETE SCAM!!! LITERALLY ROBBED ME!!!!! I accidentally went thru 2 tolls. A total of $12. They gave me 2 bills totaling $183. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!??????!!!

    This firm sends you a bill if you rent a car (Hertz) and incur tolls. The amount of my tolls during the rental was just over $3. Their "convenience fee" for processing this is $9.99! And since I did not see the email (in my junk mail ) for a month, they added another $10. RIPOFF! Oh, and the website to pay does not work....I always get errors, and when you email customer service, you get another error. I have to snail mail my payment to ********.

    The company operates solely to deceive individuals, and its existence is unjustifiable. Here's how their deceptive scheme unfolds: Upon renting a car, the representative at the rental desk presents two toll payment options: "pay by plate" and "platepass." They subtly suggest that "pay by plate" is the more economical choice. However, upon receiving the bill, you discover that "platepass" was activated, charging an exorbitant $150 on ******************* rental fee. They assert that "platepass" was activated (although it likely wasn't), and proceed to charge you a daily service fee along with toll charges, directly billed to your credit card. This manipulative practice must cease, and the company should be held accountable for its deceptive tactics.

    The company exists simply to scam people. It should NOT exist. Here's how the scam works. You rent a car. The person at the rental desk explains that there are two ways to pay tolls. The say there is "pay by plate" and pay with "platepass". They whisper that play by plate is much cheaper so you go with that option. Then, you get a bill that says you activated "platepass" charging you $150 for a typically rental. They claim that platepass was activated (it probably never was), and that you now own X dollars for EVERY DAY of the rental as a service fee, plus tolls.They bill you credit card directly.

    This company is a joke. After a few tolls on a rental car, I get charged $45 in admin fees. I go to their website to login and pay, because who cares. THE ***** DOESN'T WORK. The login button is an empty image with no link attached. How they have a BBB A+ is beyond me. Zero stars. Garbage.

    This web page to pay *** fines sent to **** is not intuitive and does not work. I suspect that it is not actually set up or managed by a company usually doing business in the US. Once you figure out the "sign in" section is the tiny box in the lower corner, and after you figure out to select "agreement" rather than "renter" (with no ? as to the difference), the "pay now" button just puts you into an endless loop on cookie preferences. Never got to the paying part. Enormously frustrating and waste of my time. This company definitely doesn't deserve to collect a $42 "handling fee" when it is so poorly designed.

    I rented a vehicle through hurtz and opted in for the plate pass but still and being charged $139.95 when I should only be charged $9.95 because I only used it one day. I tried to reach out to them two times via email and I have not got a response from either one. To this Day January 20th *************************************** $139.95 for something I already agreed to pay $9.95 for it.
