I'd give zero stars if I could. I filed to have my contract terminated due to medical reasons and they won't let me out of paying them. Additionally, their courses are a scam. They literally do nothing to teach you about training. If you want to be a trainer, take real classes with real people who have done the work.

RUN! Dont believe BBB and ****** reviews. I urge you to check them out on yelp and trust pilot where you will see their true colors. ***** this company at all costs. Sales **** are quick to answer when theyre taking your money, but once youre a customer, expect hour-long hold times, rude agents, and zero help. Theres a huge language barrier, and the **** are condescending and refuse to escalate issues. My account has been a mess for months despite paying regularly. They care more about selling than supporting. Horrible experience I would never recommend this company to anyone

I was conned into purchasing a training certification package and told I could study at my own pace and that is what the website says, but that is NOT true if you do not finish in a certain amount of time, which is a few short weeks you have to pay extra to extend the time. Also, they say you do not have to take the accredited exams if you want to train people on your own (not in a big box gym), but that is not really true either. I would not recommend this company or at the very least ask tons of questions and get them in writing.

    Hello ****,

We are sorry to hear about your experience. All of our exams will have expiration dates but depending on the exam, it's anywhere from 180 to 365 days. Same as others, signed up, looked at the material once, wanted to cancel and did not even fight for a refund, I just want this scum business to stop calling my phone every day for the past 6 months. Have filed complaints with the *** and CFPB and still no resolution. Stay away from this scam at all costs.

Very bad experience so far with this organization! Online test completely shut down in the middle of test. Called PSI tech immediately and they were unable to let me back in program to resume. Received notification from NASM stating I need to pay to retake exam. Made 7 phone calls to rectify, to no avail. Absolutely outrageous that they expect me to pay again under these circumstances which were completely out of my control. Filed an appeal today. Pending decision, I may cancel remaining payments for services not rendered. I'll get certification with other organization.

I signed up for the Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach certifications. Before buying these courses, I talked to a person over the phone over the course of a week and asked them many questions about the trainings, what the course of action is if I fail the tests the first time, etc. I was told that I could learn at my own pace, and I had access to the material until 2029. It took me a few months to work through the material for personal trainer, considering I have a job and my state went through a state of emergency in the fall, I feel like taking a few months to get through this material is perfectly feasible. I went to schedule the test yesterday only to find out that it expired in March. At no point was I told the tests had deadlines. I was never emailed on notified on my dashboard that it was about to expire. This could EASILY be an automated email. Or a notification ping on my dashboard (that i open multiple times a week). I called member services and was told I would have to pay $99 for an extension (for a service I already paid for). They said that since it's a "go at your own pace" course, that they're not required to notify us of the deadlines. If there are deadlines (and a fairly short deadline at that), then it's not truly a "go at your own pace". Not notifying paying customers that the service they paid for is about to expire and the only way to extend is to spend more money is an EXTREMELY shady business approach. What a horrible business model.

Paid NASM my PT course and everything went quick with 2 coworkers sending me numerous emails and text messages to ( of course) to buy the course)Two weeks into the course and I get an error message on the NASM WEBSITE which does not allow me to continue the course. I contacted customer support at least 6 times to try to resolve this issue to no avail. When I tried to get my full refund back, the NASM operator tells me there is a 1 week policy to get a full refund back, but of course no one at NASM ( the two sales people) informed me of this. I really do not know whats going on with this organization and the people running this business, but playing cat and mouse games with paying customers is just wrong. Not being able to continue my course has impacted in a very big negative way my possible hiring from several health clubs. Costing me money, wasted time and stress. The fact that these two NASM employees totally ignored my complaints, says a lot about NASM and where the organization is heading. Will have to start all over and find another fitness organization that actually cares about their customers.Incident number **********

I signed up for NASMs personal trainer course in May 2024 after a very pushy sales call. The *** made it sound urgent and pressured me into committing to the lowest possible payment plan for a program that costs nearly $1,500. Unfortunately, I never ended up using the course I only ever opened the intro page. Life circumstances changed, and Ive been unemployed for some time, yet Ive still been making payments on something I never ******** that its been a year, Im outside their refund/cancellation window. I get that policies are policies but whats frustrating is how little this company cares about individual circumstances. I never completed even a single module, yet Im out nearly $1,000 for absolutely nothing in return. When I reached out to customer service, the *** I spoke with was dismissive and rude, and the supervisor wouldnt even speak to me. No flexibility, no compassion, no willingness to work with me.Its clear NASM is more interested in locking people into contracts than actually helping them succeed. If youre considering this program, think twice once they have your money, thats where their interest in you ends.

Circumstances have changed so I reached out to NASM to cancel my account access and remainder of my payments. They say there is a 7 day cancellation policy. It's a payment plan for access to the materials and I no longer need it or have used it in several months. The 7 days is a gimmick. Just cancel my account so I no longer have access.

Do not waste your time or money purchasing from NASM. They are a marketing company trying to rip future personal trainers off. You will not learn any insight on being a trainer. Just alot of outdated material. Trust me ! And if you fail you have to pay an extra $200 to retest. If you fail to retest within the 180 days, you will be charged an additional $200. DON'T DO IT.
