I was hired at Thrive LGBT REUNITED as COO 7/26/23. Start date said 8/7/23, but I began working immediately. It’s not even a nonprofit as I discovered by this Latoya Mathews, or whatever name he/she is going by. Myself and another girl worked all day Monday and a few hours today only to be “fired”. This is after I uploaded my banking info. I think the person wants to have a “thriving” business but lacks the social skills and integrity of a business owner. He/she had these “deposits” set up as “INCOME” in the accounting system. I tried to say deposits on equipment is actually a liability because the money isn’t yours. Well to see all the complaints on here regarding people not getting their laptops or the deposit is scary. I sent links to less expensive laptops and printers for under $400 total. He/she didn’t want to hear it. Scam. Employee beware! Something is up because he/she told me they’re getting all this money because of being black and transgender, taking advantage of the current climate. Said no one has asked him/her to show proof of 501c3 status. Slack wouldn’t even grant a discounted rate because their due diligence said they were not a nonprofit.

Applied for a job via indeed for a "non profit lgbt company which helped find housing and resources for lgbt young adults. I applied and "shay" who pretended to be a trans woman called me that night and sent an offer letter the same day. I was the marketing director making 85k "" but first i had to send in money for a laptop and printer that was suppose to be used a collateral. Never got the laptop never got money back never got paid. got fired on thanksgiving, none of those people in need got helped. everything was a lie from day one and i have recordings

I was told I was able to start a position as a social worker. I was told my salary would be $70k/year. I was also told to send $400 via venmo or cash app to be able to get a laptop and printer. I sent the money through venmo

I applied for a job with “thrive lgbt” and “Shatailia Carter” a supposed BIPOC trans woman, contacted me after I had a fake “interview” offering me an online job, but saying I would need $400 up front for “equipment” to work. The whole organization is fake, the website talks about all the services the organization offers when it doesn’t even actually exist. “Shatalia” doesn’t exist either. This scammer has multiple fake social media profiles he goes by.

I found a job posting for a remote Admin Assistant for Thrive LGBT which claimed to be a charitable non profit on Indeed.com. I applied and was offered an interview a number of weeks later. The interview took place over the phone and I was offered the job. This was followed by phone calls regarding payment for an equipment deposit. I paid $100.00 but they requested $400.00. They sent me a link to a job portal with onboarding information. I filled out information including a copy of my drivers license, an I9 tax form with my name, address and social security number, and a direct deposit form with my bank information. Training was scheduled but when I reached out to the “recruiter” named “Lauren Maynard” for format details, I was told it was a scam. Lauren claimed to also have been scammed out of $400 by the “founder” “Shataila Carter”. There has been no other contact. I have reported Shataila’s LinkedIn profile, filed a police report, and sent a report to the Federal Trade Commission.

Scammer has a fake website posing as a non-profit helping the LGBTQ community with several jobs for hire. I applied for a job that appeared legit. I received an unprofessional call from the owner for an "interview" and was told I got the job and would receive a job offer in the form of a DocuSign. I must sign it within 3 days. I was also told that the company laptop would be provided but at a charge of $400 as the owner was tired of losing equipment. I received the DocuSign within a few hours, but after doing research, realized that the job was a scam and not legit. Later that evening I received an email from the company's assistant demanding that the DocuSign be signed by 12am that night or the job offer would be rescinded. The email included 30+ other applicants with their emails visible for all to see. It was at this point that all applicants were informed of the scam and began stating their decline for their job and disgust at being deceived.

they approached me for a job interview. i googled thrive and thought things were a little off but let it go. they call me for the interview, sound very professional, offer me way more than they should for the position and promised a $5000 sign on bonus as well as requesting a “retainer” of $100. i visited their website and clicked their “book appointment” button, which just took me to some random outlook webpage that wouldn’t load. when i click on their phone number (18887354354) an automated message says the number is not available. when i asked them about the “retainer” they said it was for the equipment (it’s a remote position) and that the total is $400 but they’re only asking for $100 upfront. i asked about the high salary and they stated it was because they had grant money from Progressive. additionally, when i googled the number they called me from, the internet’s says she’s a real estate agent.

Called me Saturday night to offer me a job. Said that I needed to send 600.00 for computer equipment

I was called yesterday 01/09 about a job I applied for with this company. Did a phone interview with a person named "Lauren" and got a job offer. found out from looking through social media pages that this company is a scam. People have worked there and have not gotten paid or fired before payday, they were told they needed to put 100 down for a work laptop due to a lawsuit but that money went towards the CEOs apartment. I looked up address of company and it is a bunch of bushes. Past employees were speaking out on fb and tiktok.
