    I financed this 2014 **** escape se from Carevo on September of 2023. Not even 2 months later the vehicles transmission needed to be rebuilt. Around 11 months later I had to bring my vehicle back in to the shop for what I thought was a simple alignment, it then turned into the mechanics telling me that my vehicle wasn't safe to drive and they didn't understand how it was even safety inspected, the amount of rust and damage accumulated on the rear frame could not have occurred in the 1 year I had the vehicle. Carevo purposely sold an suv that had a faulty transmission causing me to shoot forward in traffic poor acceleration and a rotted frame. I want them to repair the damages that they should have had fixed before they decided to drive the vehicle down to me. I now am paying for a vehicle that I cannot drive all because this company didn't properly safety inspect my vehicle or have there third party mechanics properly look at the vehicle.

    We deal in used vehicles, we buy them, we safety inspect them and we sell them to our customers. We cannot and will not be responsible for every issue involving the vehicle after sale for two simple reasons.

    1. We do not manufacture the vehicles so we can't be responsible for unforeseen or wear and tear items.

    2. After the delivery there is literally no way for us to be able ascertain the way the customer is driving and maintaining their vehicle. 

    This customer has a warranty and I have tried my best to help in any way I can but we are talking about a vehicle sold a year ago.

    This Suv in question had problems from the jump. They delivered the vehicle to me at 11pm at night where it was impossible to look at and actually give a definitive read on how the vehicle drove. I literally drive this vehicle to work and back and that's it I have 15 kms to work 15 kms back on a highway. There is no way in any world that I could accumulate the amount of rust damage that was done to this frame in a year's time and that was from the mouth of a mechanic at a **** dealership not the little mom and pop garage you people sent the vehicle to for a safety. You people buy and sell used vehicles yes and it was 1 year after purchase but these issues were happening the entire time I owned it so that's clear indication that your mechanics passed the vehicle to get it out of your inventory and into my driveway. Not only that but my *********** vehicle purchased the same time has been in the shop on 6 separate occasions you people do not sell good vehicles and i deserve to have a vehicle that is safe for me to cart my family and me around in. I require the frame fixed and I will not stop until you either get me another vehicle or have the frame repaired.

    I'm a ** **** *** *** I do not race vehicles nor do I try to drive them out of there means i have a family that's the only reason I went to you people!  a 10 year old vehicle is fine I know plenty of people with older vehicles and the frame isn't **** well rotted out. I never said they did fake inspections *** I said they overlook things and just do the bare minimum for you people to get the sale. There is no ******* way I could accumulate the amount of rust damage that's on this vehicle from my daily commute 15 kms one way 15 kms the other way. The fact that you can sit there and try and bring up my credit and my income and use that as an excuse is just ludicrous. You people should be helping to repair the **** vehicle because it sat in your lot for however long before it was sold to me. This vehicle was literally sold to you people for pennies and you pushed it to me and instead of just doing your best to eat some of it your trying to push the blame on me I promise you I will not stop until you repair this vehicle. It's absolutely crazy that you sold 2 vehicles one to me one to ** ********** and her vehicle is in the same spot she had her **** front bumper held on by a ****** **** and your worker drove that down from ********* for her! And her vehicles a 2017 3 years older then mine. Her starters been gone since the beginning and she's been in contact with you people since she's had it in the shop more then she's driven it. You guys have a record of ****** vehicle sales you may have some good ones but you have alot of **** ones we will even mention the *********** brother his **** engine blew up your repaired it then the vehicle just stopped working completely. You people don't safety vehicles properly nor do you sell sound vehicles!

    Here is my proof of sale of the vehicle and a picture of the 12 month warranty they tried to scam me with. When I was speaking with M****** a finance manager after speaking with D**** about getting the vehicle I was supposed to receive a 2 year warranty but they forgot to give me it so m****** then told me that he would send the new documents to my home. Which he never did but you can see in the previous responses from this company that I do indeed still have warranty left on the vehicle because he admitted so. I should have a 2 year motor train warranty on this vehicle. These people showed up at 11pm at night to drop off the suv I couldn't even take it for a drive until the next morning and they were already gone back to *********. This vehicle has had so many issues since the start and the fact that they are trying to push the blame on me when I literally drive my vehicle to and from work daily and that's it is ridiculous I'm a ** **** *** man not a teenager I take care of my vehicle so I have one so i can provide for my family. I'm now paying 265 dollars every 2 **** weeks for a vehicle I cannot drive because the mechanic said it's literally not safe to drive. These people sold me a vehicle with a rotted frame and I need it fixed.

    I asked care I if the car they are selling me had been in any kind of accident or anything they lied to me saying nope not nothing then sold me the car I found out after noticing big issue with the car it indeed had been in multiple accidents I brought it up to Carew I the procced to tell me they had a car fax the whole time even tho they told me there was no car fax on the car the car not fit for the road as every time it rains the inside of the car floods! Like almost need ****** arc to be able to sit in it I have a 3 month baby that’s why I bought the car I brought it up to them an they laugh at me an hung up pretty unprofessional

    This customer purchased back in July 0f 2023, over a year ago. The sales/finance team that sold the vehicle are no longer with us so it would be impossible for me to confirm the validity of Mr. ********** claims. I am doing what I can to dig a little deeper and see if there is anything I can find in regards to this situation! Typically if a customer asks for the ****** we send them a copy, we also have to let the bank know about accidents on vehicles in order to get it approved prior to delivery so I find it hard to believe that the customer was not notified.

    I was not notified about the ****** when I asked **** there representative about the car fax he states that there was nothing wrong with the car I wasn't even told about the dent the car had when they delivered it to me I still got messages regarding the dent between me an ****. When I pulled up a car fax myself when i notice my car flooding as bad as it was an realized the extent of it all I got ahold of carevo an when the reception girl answered a pulled up my file I stated I had the car fax an would send it to her she stated she already had it an was looking at it funny enough because I was told there was nothing wrong with the car there fore should not have had any ****** about accidents an when I asked about the car being damaged in anyway when I was buying it they should have just told me the truth I never would have bought the car if I would have known that

    So I find this curious....******, our registration and office administrator does not have access to ****** so I wonder why she would have this just sitting on hand? And lets just say she did, why wouldn't she do her job and send an email to myself or the GM or at the very least send the customer issues link to Mr. ********? 

    All of this aside, what I can offer is to help Mr. ******** is the following - I can try to trade him out of his current vehicle giving him a premium trade value despite the accidents on the vehicle (in layman's terms I would give him full black book value).

    I was contacted by ****** at CarEVO. She was very persistent and wanted to help. we contacted via text, which i have saved. I requested an AWD or4x4 as a vehicle, and declined when she sent otherwise. She sent me a Dodge Ram. i assumed it was 4X4 because in NL we do not usually carry rear wheel drive vehicles. When the vehicle arrived it was 4 hours late, I had to meet the lady who dropped the truck off, at the airport hotel. 9PM . i did NOT take a test drive, i said i would test it on the way home, as she just drove from NS to NL without any issues. When i was driving home, the tail slid, so i went to put the truck into 4x4. To my surprise, there wasnt any. I IMMEDIATELY contacted the lady and ****** and told them i would not be keeping the vehicle an they could come get it. I was told ( it would all be ok) we will fix it. The next day, the owner/ manager, (male) called and got very upset at me. yelling, swearing, al l because I COST HIM MONEY and wasnt letting him fix it. i was told to "F off, you are stuck with a vehicle now". and he hung up. Since then i have called everyone. from the bank, to my bank, to BBB. PLEASE HELP ME ... I was tricked into buying a vehicle that i did not request, and now i am being forced and bullied into a loan. Please help.

    I have been contacting Car Evo for almost 2 years now… no one has ever helped.. they say, ahh too bad , and hang up on me.. 

    If they are willing to take the truck back and wipe off my remaining loan balance. We can talk.. if not. I’m still stuck with a truck I cannot drive in the winter, it’s not safe here. And a loan I cannot get out of and was literally bullied into.. some companies offer 30 day , exchange or even refund if they are not happy with the vehicle… I had mine 10 mins and asked for a return and help and I’ve been suffering ever since .

    Bought a used 2018 Civic Type R in March of 2024! Paid to add winter tires into the deal! Car was delivered and while going over paperwork I asked where my tires were?? The gentleman that delivered my car had no idea, so I texted my salesperson and asked….. his reply was “they are sold out as it’s the end of winter but as soon as they come in I’ll have them delivered to you, should be a week or two”! Well a week or two came and went and no tires were delivered! I have phoned with no luck! I have wrote them on Facebook to only get blocked! There were also damages on the car that my salesman said they would go good for and that never happened either! All I want are the tires that I paid for!

    july 18 i signed for my car . Car EVO took my old car. August 23 i got a call saying they had made a mistake with my car info. I was told they would try to work something out. No call backs for over a week. Today august 14 i got a call from the driver who was taking back my old car without my knowledge. I had to leave work early losing 3 hours pay. This is unacceptable for a company to treat customer in this manner.

    Good afternoon

    8 weeks ago I applied for a loan on a truck through your website. A week later, I get a call from a salesman from the Dartmouth office. We discuss everything and a few days later he tells me that I've been approved for a truck. A few days later, he tells me that the bank wants copies of 2 cheque stubs when I return to work and was no longer on WCB. I've been back to work 3 weeks now.
    In the meantime, another salesman calls me. I explained the WCB issue. He assures me that he can get me approved without cheque stubs. He does within a few days and indicated that it would be a week for delivery on the truck we discussed. That was 4 weeks ago and I still haven't received this truck.
    I would appreciate it if I received a truck before I'm too old to still need or enjoy it. I would suggest that you stop selling vehicles before they're ready to sell.

    I received the truck finally on June 13th. The bank ** ********l tried to take 2 payments on June 14th but my payments weren't supposed to start until July 5th. Not weeks before I even purchased or received the truck. Carevo won't respond to any of my calls or texts regarding this issue.

Our policy states that if a customer threatens legal action we are to cease correspondence until we hear from their legal representative!     I have sent a number of texts before the remote start was installed regarding the remote start and the paperwork dates. The only response I received was that they would pay for the installation of the remote starter but couldn't fix the paperwork. Leaving it up to me to try and resolve with ** ********* in my own. I only threatened BBB or a lawyer after waiting 12 weeks for a truck to be delivered after being approved. Due to no response from anyone at the dealership. I've been trying to resolve the paperwork issue since June 14th with no response from the dealership and no success with ** *********. They want $900, which are the 3 payments that were due on May 31st, June 14th and June 28th. I received the truck on June 13th. My 1st payment was supposed to be July 5th. Not before. If Carevo had better communication skills I wouldn't have threatened BBB or a lawyer. This complaint with BBB could have been avoided entirely. Carevo made an error on the paperwork with the sale date being May 31st instead of the actual sale date of June 13th. They need to fix the 3 payments and dates on the paperwork with ***The salesman was supposed to fix the paperwork before he sent it to ***

    There were some issues with the truck that delayed the delivery that got us into this situation. I have had a conversation on the phone with the customer explaining that the contract was signed, processed and funded and I could one of 2 things, I could cover the first payment or I could pay for his remote start!     The remote start was part of the original conversation about what I wanted for a vehicle and what I options I wanted it to have, 4x4, A/C, Power Windows and Door Locks with remote start. It arrived with no remote start. The salesman verbally offered to pay the 1st payment due to the delayed delivery date. I was promised delivery within a week. It was at the garage for 3 weeks, then 3 days elsewhere for rocker sills. They sold me the truck before it was ever run through the shop to be ready to sell.

    I purchased a 2017 **** Escape from Carevo on Nov 14 2023. There have been many issues with it since I received it. I have reached out multiple times with no response regarding these issues. I was reimbursed 175.00 in April for an admin key that I had to purchase to use all of the features of the vehicle. It was supposed to have come with a fresh inspection. Since I bought it, I’ve replaced three wheel bearings, rear brakes, flex pipe, ball joint, control arm, and it needed an alignment. One of the brand new winter tires is came with is no good, likely due to improper mounting. This AC doesn’t work and I had to pay 250.00 for diagnostics, found out there is no refrigerant and that it 300.00 to fill before they can even tell me what is wrong with it. I’ve had to rent vehicles each time it was in the shop to be fixed, because I need a vehicle to take my kids to school and back. I completely understand wear and tear, but this is a lot of things to go within months of buying a vehicle that was supposed to be just inspected.

    All of our vehicle's are safety inspected prior to delivery and while I feel for the customer there is no way for us to be able to tell how the vehicle is being treated while in the customer possession. Yes those are wear and tear items that can literally go at anytime.

     I am rejecting this response because: i totally understand wear and tear, but having that much go wrong in such a short period seems like more than wear and tear to me. The A/C not working is not a wear and tear issue. When I was collecting paperwork, I noticed that when it was inspected, there was 120xxx on the vehicle, and when I got it, a couple of days later, there was 128xxx, so 8000 kms were driven between me receiving the car and the inspection, so maybe something happened then?  I have been driving for over 20 years, and I have never always purchased used vehicles, and I have never had to deal with this many repairs within a few months of purchasing. The repairs that I have been doing should show that I am taking proper care of the vehicle. I would like to have these repairs reimbursed.

    Typically if something were to happen within the first 30 days we would be happy to help but where we are talking 8-9 months later we will not be covering any reimbursements. Unfortunately with used vehicles, especially older units like this one, there is really no way to tell when and where things are going to go wrong. As I have stated there are just too many variables in regards to the vehicle being in possession of the customer for us to be paying for repairs this far down the road. This is why we put warranty on almost all of our vehicles to try and mitigate these types of situations but unfortunately these types of repairs are not covered for the same reason we don't cover them, they can literally happen anytime and are part of the regular maintenance of a vehicle. 

    As for the issue with kilometers I am assuming it must have been a clerical error because everything on our end show the kilometers at the time of sale at 128,489.

     I am rejecting this response because: I have been trying to speak to someone about these issues since the beginning of March! Like I said previously, my emails and voicemails were not responded to. I can’t understand how you think it’s acceptable to have to spend 3000+ to repair a vehicle within less than 6 months of purchasing. Since we’re not going to be able to come up with a resolution between us, I will contact a lawyer and go from there.

    Feb 1 - received vehicle

    Feb 29 - Went to register the vehicle with ***, unable to due to not having registration paper. 1st Temp plate expires March 1.

    March 4 - Called no answer

    March 11 - emailed about registration paper, had called a week prior Received 2nd temp plate via Purolator

    March 31 – emailed saying I still did not receive my registration yet and had less than 2 weeks on my 2nd temp plate

    April 2- Had appointment for new tires & alignment, as my brand new winter tires that came on the vehicle had worn so bad the wires were showing.
    The mechanic put my vehicle on a lift and showed me everything wrong and couldn’t do an alignment until after these issues were fixed.
    It was things that on my inspection before receiving the vehicle said were fixed. I have photos for confirmation.
    I called and talked to the manager and he said to get a quote and send it to them. I did. Nothing has happened yet.

    April 8 – Sent text a few days prior no response, emailed still no response

    April 9 – emailed no response

    April 15 – Temp plate had expired on the 13th, still no response

    April 17 – Emailed for the last time, no response

    April 18 – Emailed Motor Vehicle Nova Scotia, they cannot help me, told me to have the dealer do it.

     I am rejecting this response because:
    We did send the quote on April 3rd and was told it was being forwarded to the manager ******* ****. I have attached pics to confirm this. We are also in extreme need of the blue registration paper that the dealership sent to the wrong place and we still have not received. We can't drive our vehicle because we can't legally make it ours and have been making bi-weekly payments on it.

     I am rejecting this response because:
    Yes I will email you directly with the quote. My other major concern is the registration paper. I have not received it. I need it to legally make the vehicle mine.

    I have gotten a car from carEvo about 4 months ago and it has given me nothing but issues since literally day 1, it broke not even 24 hours into “owning it” it continues to break, the cars engine blew, turbos blew, Cadillac converters blew, seals have been ruined, and now the alternator belt is being eaten by the SERIOUS ENGINE ISSUIE. I look after 4 children and this car isn’t safe for the kids to be in. he could careless he said they’d replace the engine with a NEW one ! It’s used! And it had a serious tick, I have notes provided by another mechanic and all paperwork from previous mechanics on work that’s been done. They are dishonest and avoid to help me further with this 2015 Chevy Cruze. I am beyond frustrated about how unfairly I have been treated by **** piro. Who has been nothing but rude to me. It’s been in the shop 5 times now, I have barely driven it, please I need some help with this car.

    Attached are the invoices totaling over $12,000 that Carevo has spent fixing ****** ******* vehicle over the past 4 months and the safety inspection done prior to delivery! Her vehicle was sold to her for $11,500 so we have spent more money fixing it then we sold the vehicle to her for, if that is not taking care of our customers I really don't know what is!

     I am rejecting this response because: when I got the car, in Nova Scotia there is a cooling off period to decide if I want it, it blew up and I wanted it sent back that day and they made it impossible from here on out, worst customer service experience I have ever had, I feel bullied by **** **** and I will fight until I win, I know my rights and I will not get messed around from this crooked car sales man/company. I have no faith in putting little children into this car and it is unsafe. My life and these children’s lives are at risk, and my job.

    As I stated before as far as Carevo is concerned this issue has been resolved! We have gone above and beyond what any other used car dealership in North America would have done!! I have facilitated every repair and provided a loaner vehicle for each instance to help and she is clearly ungrateful for the $12,000+ we have spent. I think we have proved we are not in the wrong here! Please remove the review as it is baseless and unfounded!

     I am rejecting this response because: I have asked for a different car since day one when it literally stopped working.. you went out of your way to “look” for cars for me that you know wouldn’t suit my needs, my only two things I asked for when I was in contact with you guys originally was a safe, reliable car and for it to be good on gas, I was failed miserably and to this day you guys still think this is good customer service? So sad the way your treating someone. Also keep in mind I was more the nice to you guys on multiple occasions, I went into your office for a meeting with *****(as planned the day before) you made sure that I wasted a good hour with a baby sitting with me to come and tell me he was in meetings all day. You are truly in the wrong here. You haven’t actually tried to help, you are rude and a bully for even treating someone like this.
