      I went into ***** block to do my taxes with **** as I have for the last 6 years in ****************. All went well, had a small refund under ***, my husband owed yet again. Regardless, our ***s come in, all is fine until I get an email from HR block stating that there is a new report on my credit report for unpaid fees....I check and it states I owe them almost ****$, I have my **** I go into HR block, they have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about. I speak to CRA, they try to tell me it's for covid?? I have NEVER received covid payments, regardless of them stating it was from 2020 when I've done my taxes every year on time, no issues till this one. Now because they have still never corrected it, it is STILL on my credit report, screwed my score and having to do my taxes another way. Never again go there, still have NO idea why it's stuck on my report. Below are my total up to date *** of last year that they are trying to tell me is for.

      Hi there,I filed my taxes at ***** block mission BC three weeks ago.Could have been March ****.I payed $*** for it to be done.The lady said I was getting a refund of $ ****.I get a letter in the mail saying I owe $**** .Kind a dumb mistake ***** sitting here expecting to receive money,Telling business that I owe money to that Im receiving ********* can a company in business for how long make a dumb mistake like that.Thanks *****

      My issue with H&R block resides with recently filing my taxes with them. They filed my taxes fine, told me that they no longer deal with ******* and that they would provide me with a brand new card through their new system which is H&R block advantage card. My tax return was loaded onto the card and there were no issues until i went to e-transfer funds on April *, *0*5 in order to pay my bills on my banking account with ***. The transfer amount was for $*******, when i went to deposit the funds into my checking account an error sign kept repeating 'oops, something went wrong'. I decided to decline the payment to my banking account, have the funds return to my advantage card and retry to the transaction. The funds never returned to my advantage card and never got deposited to my ******** account. I waited ** hours to see if the funds would be returned, and they weren't. I called the number on the back of the card which only led me to an automated system, no person could be reached. I then sent an email to their customer support centre on April 3, *0*5, i was notified my email would answered in two business days, by Friday April *, *0*5, still no answer, so i sent a second email, It is now April 7, *0*5 and still no response. On April *, *0*5 i called *** in search of help, my bank told me there was nothing they could do on their end and to contact H&R. I called the office that filed my taxes and they told me the advantage card is a different sector and to call the number on the back of the card, which is no help because it is only an automated system. The statement for the advantage card says the transfer was completed, but it wasn't. The reference # for the transfer is: ********. I also have the ticket # for the customer support email i sent which is: ****** It has now been * business days with no response, and no return of my funds. I greatly appreciate your time on the matter and look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you. Regards,****** *********

      I am rejecting this response because:

      A representative from H&R block by the name of ***** Barabonoff replied to my customer support request and informed me that their banking partner ******** is the one who deals with transfers and that he would be sending a request to them on my behalf to cancel the transfer and have the funds returned to me. He first responded to me on April *, 2025, which i replied promptly to, I then sent him a second response on April *, 2025, he responded to me on ******* , 2025 letting me know that ******** has canceled the transfer, but the funds still have not been returned to me despite the cancelation which i notified him about, I responded on the same day giving him my phone number so he may contact me over the phone so we could deal with the matter sooner and more efficiently. ***** then forwarded a message to me that he received from ***** ***** which stated that a request to cancel the pending transfer has been made and that they will reach out once the funds have been returned to the account. I received an email transfer from ****************** on April 13, 2025 for the amount of $******* to be deposited, the only institution option they gave me in order to deposit the funds was for a ************* account which i do not possess. I then called ************* in hopes someone there could help me, they have put in an investigation for me and said they will notify me as soon as any kind of information comes through. They have yet to return these funds to me which is why i do not accept their response regarding the situation. The reference number given to me from ************* for the e-transfer is: ********

      Hello, I am a widow of * children and came to you for help with my husband's final tax return last month. He worked last in ******** ***. I am sorry to say that the experience was both shocking and disappointing. I was not informed of the correct process or payment at all, and in the end was forced to pay an amount I had not agreed to, nor had been discussed. Furthermore, the taxes were done incorrectly. I have sought US advice on this since. I called the next morning quite upset, hoping to get some help. I was given the above reference number. A gentleman named ***** **** called me a week later. He gave no solution but told me he would soon be in touch. He did not call. When I reached out to him again, another week later, he still said he had no resolution but would call back. He did not call me back. Here I sit one month later, and still asking for help. I request a full refund as I did not agree to the enormous cost I was charged. Furthermore, the taxes have been done incorrectly. They have not yet been filed and would like to file them instead at an HR Block in the *** where my husband last worked. I feel much more comfortable with their knowledge.Please contact me asap. ******* ***** ************ ***************************************************************************************************************************************** with a Tax Pro:If you discover an H&R Block error on your return that entitles you to a larger refund (or smaller tax liability), well refund the tax prep fee for that return and file an amended return at no additional charge

      H &R Block did my taxes again like they have done for years with only minor problems that were corrected immediately , however , this year after doing cash back and receiving a hrblock advantage card with our funds on it , it could not activate for * days due to maintenance in the system. Ok that happens however days after back on line e transfer is still not available forcing me into $**** charge per transaction from block themselves and an additional charge from the place you use the card. I believe that listing e transfer and not having the ability to use it constitutes a foul on behalf of HRBlock..I have called ,emailed and waited until now. Please help stop this abuse they are causing me. They do not return messages directly involved to my case just send out blanket emails to shut us up and they do not return phone calls and in the meantime I will have to use card for bills and lose money from my funds for using it.

      HR Block has cancelled the Advantage card and has not give a reason and there is a $******** balance. To say they will have someone contact m and then seize and close the card is not satosfactory. Evening phone is *************

      H&R did contact me and tell me they could reimburse me the multiple $**** charges for use already on this account . I asked that they just get the e transfer working on this card and was told no thats the banks problem. I asked for a swap of the card at a local office for a direct e transfer to my bank by H&R and was denied. They said they could cancel card and send cheque in mail ,about 7-10 days but I imformed them I needed the funds for bills immediately and would like to escalate to call so they are sending back to management but offered me a local worker ***** instead of corporate.

      I was at the branch at ************************************************** today, and a so called tax professional named ******* *** *** prepared my 2024 taxes. I clearly noted on the information sheet I had to fill.out upon arrival that I wanted an instant refund. She calculated how much my fee would be($******). We went to front desk so I could pay, which I did through debit. Once back at her desk she finalized the paperwork and said my taxes were filed. I asked her if I was getting a cheque. She said that she didn't realize I wanted instant refund. She then reverses my debit charge and tries to fix her blunder. Unfortunately once taxes are files with revenue canada it can't be reversed. Then I had to pay again through debit. I pretty much paid H&R Block to do what I could have done my self for free on Turbo Tax free software. As far as I'm concerned H&R Block owe me $******!! I will never go to this Branch again. This lady almost screwed up my 2022 taxes also!! She needs to be fired!!

      Went to H&R Block (Address: ******************************************).An older male handled my tax. This person does not understand English very well. I requested "Instant Refund" and mentioned "instant refund" throughout the process, when we pay the fee, we mentioned "Instant refund usually higher fees" but this employee looked at me clueless. Then, of course he did not do it correctly. The only reason we use H&R block is "Instant refund," if we did not get this service, we would not choose H&R block.We requested to speak a manager, he ignored for a while, then rejected first. And hitting the desk with his fist a few times. I had to ask ** times to speak to a manager until I get his response. Basically anything I ask, he does not respond. Just being ignored. Also he was visibly shaking in a way older people do. Additionally, he had other customers' tax files displayed on his desk. While there was no sensitive information visible, their names were completely exposed to us. Someone like that should NOT be working anywhere, especially at a tax office.Again, if we did not get the instant refund, we did not choose H&R block. I could have done that myself online. Please refund the fee.

      On Feb **/25 went to H&R Block ******** to file a quick return and they said they would call me Monday. No call, so I called them today (march4) They asked me to come in, and I said I could be there for * after work, and they said I had to come in sooner because * people had to be there. So we get everything sorted, and she tells me that I have to have my refund on a prepaid H&R **** card because e-transfer isn't working. When I ask if I can transfer the balance to my own bank card I am told no because my card isn't a **** debit card. So I ask if they can just cut me a cheque and am told no they don't do that anymore. My whole reason for filing quick return was because I owe money to my mother for a car loan. An H&R block **** is absolutely useless to me. So to add insult to injury I was then told I had to pay $****** out of my overdraft to file and wait ***** days! The ONLY reason I even went there was to file quickly.

      I truly had no idea what her name was this inept moonlighting she was boorish then rude she wouldn't even give me multi requested breakdown for issued credits or other, this disgusting sense of entitlement forbade her from writing down the particulars even with moneys paid in full to h&r block this agency was more concerned about payment method asking me twice then once more then asking am I a Canadian citizen I responded in French with such an accent it is evident that obviously I am & having to respond & hand over legal tender to someone who has reasoning issues & bad communication is concerning she requested I remove my mask X 3 so she could confirm it wasn't magic or ventriloquism all whilst telling me about her time in ******* but couldn't understand my cut to the quick simple to the point three or four word dialecte rgionale the agent proceeded to tell me repeatedly she didn't understand what I said ** minutes of unpleasantness the service is abhorrent, I brought paperwork from the year prior performed at the same location to point out all their discrepancies NONE of their numbers matched l'agence du revenu & the agent looked at it without concerns nor absolution needless to say because of these very fine folks with overly professional demeanors there will be no return or recommendations. This agent in question was mannerless the fact that I was a tenured customer for a decade means little photocopying my identification that should already be on record after ten years they couldn't even spell my name correctly after I paid them.
