    ******** #1 Service 07/10/24
    *****************************************************

    To whom it may concern,

On June 10th 2024, **************** dropped off his 2010 Chevrolet Equinox with us to look into a pulling to the left while drivingissue. Upon driving & inspecting the vehicle the mechanic recommended both of the rear shock absorbers, front sway bar link pins, and lower control arms be replaced along with an alignment. *************** only wanted the front link pins, lower control arms, and alignment done. He was informed the rear shock absorbers would need to be replaced because it could cause the vehicle to still pull/drift while driving.
After picking the vehicle up on June 10th, **************** did call to inform us the vehicle still had a pulling issue but was much better than before. We told him to bring the vehicle back and we would take a look into the issue right away. **************** did not show up for his appointment. It wasn't until July 5th that he brought the vehicle back.
*************** brought the vehicle back into us July 10th and we performed a 2nd alignment to try to alleviate his concerns. After telling **************** the 2nd alignment was done, he wanted us to replace the rear shocks that we originally told him needed to be replaced. As of the time of this letter the customer seems happy and there are no ongoing issues.

Rip off report Gordons are liars and cheats. Negative stars do not exist. My wife took her car in a 2013 **** escape. It stalled in the driveway and would not start. WE had the car towed to Gordons. It took over a week. First, they said it was a $400 battery. Then they said the bill to repair her car would be $6000. They said the transmission leaked onto the computer module and everything needed to be replaced. The facts are, we had it towed to ****. Gordons broke a part in the front of the car, installed the wrong battery, the transmission and computer modules are fine. Total cost to repair $300.We are hiring an attorney; I have used in the past and are seeking treble damages. Avoid GORDONS in ********* or risk the rip off.

    To whom it may concern,

The customers complaint / statement is very misleading.

Lets start with the battery. The battery is the correct one. We double checked the application and called the dealership that gave them the second opinion. The reason that the battery was replaced was because it lacked enough power to let us do any testing. The dealership never told them the battery was not correct. We are willing to credit  them the cost of the battery if they can return it. The cost of the battery was $150 and $90 to install it, NOT $400.

Then going to the problem with the vehicle, it is not a common problem. After some testing we found the *** fuse blown. We found that it would continue to blow after we replaced it. With more testing & dis-assembly we found that the inside of the *** was saturated with oil or transmission fluid. What was happening is the transmission was creating pressure that was pushing fluid through the wire insulation that ran from it to the ***. The correct repair would be rebuilding the transmission & replacing the ***. WE STAND BY OUR DIAGNOSIS.

We also checked with the dealer that gave the customer a second opinion and they never got the vehicle running. They did not repair this vehicle or diagnose this problem because the customer declined the cost of that.

We do stand by our diagnosis and we have pictures to back up our statement of fluid in the ***. I am not sure what a resolution would be.
