      QuoteWizard.com is collecting and selling personal information by pretending to offer comparison insurance quotes. They are using their BBB rating to help accomplish this scam.

         Quotewizard by *********** has investigated the matter addressed in the consumers complaint. We apologize for any inconvenience our services have caused.QuoteWizard is an insurance comparison shopping website where consumers can find insurance quotes from agents. Quotewizard does not provide insurance quotes and does not contact consumers for this purpose. QuoteWizard by LendingTree will never request or sell personal information.
      LendingTree conducts due diligences on our network partners to ensure they are legitimate company. Without knowing the company, the consumer is indicating we are unable to provide any additional information.  In addition, LendingTree has seen an increase in online and phone scams using the LendingTree name illegally. In these scams, the LendingTree name is used as a front to request either money or personal information. Often these scams make promises of credit in exchange for Advance fees, Upfront fees, or Insurance payments. The consumer can protect themselves by learning more about preventing identity theft (****************************************************************)and/or about how to protect yourself from mortgage scams (*********************************************************).
      QuoteWizard has added the consumers information to its internal Do-Not-Call and unsubscribe list, and we have notified our referral agents to cease all contact to the consumer immediately. Do not call list will take ***** hours to process and **** business days for the emails to subside. In addition, we are not able to remove the information from our database due to state and federal record retention laws. If they consumer believes they have been a victim of fraud, the consumer should cease all contact with the impersonator immediately.

      Today, 8/1/23, I provided some personal information to QuoteWizard.com, expecting that they would recommend insurance providers who were a good fit to my needs. Instead, they seem to have given or sold my information to numerous agents, some of whom seem to be very shady. I have been deluged with dozens of spam calls, text messages and emails in a very short time. Several or all of the contacts have been from spoofed numbers or email addresses, so I cannot even block them. I am asking QuoteWizard.com to do the following: (1) immediately stop providing my information to anyone else, (2) instruct all agents already provided my information to not contact me, and (3) delete my personal information from all their databases immediately.

      I contacted quote wizard about purchasing leads from this company in or around Feb 2023, I was told by their sales rep that I had to put a hold ( deposit) of 250 and once that ran out I could opt to purchase additional leads. Well their leads were fake, people would hang up on us etc say they didnt ask for insurance quotes etc. I then noticed they started hitting my checking account for 100 a month, so I tried calling to complain and cancel the service becuase it wasnt what i was told, each time i held forever the calls would get dropped or I would have to hang up do to running a business while trying to hold for hours. I did some research and got an email address where I requested my account closed. I then called my bank *********** to report them as fraud. They reimbursed my charges and after investigation found my claim to be warranted, now I continue to get harrassed by this company and threatned to be put in collections over this. I am not the only one they have done this too, and there are numerous complaints on here regarding the same thing. I am tired of dealring with this company who has yet to contact me directly when I have asked them too and i keep getting the run around. Lending Tree should be ashmed to be part of this company of frauds and scam artists.

      *********** has conducted research on the complaint received. Per our records, there were some email communications between customer support and the agent regarding the agent was not going to pay the $200 balance due after being misled from signing up and having a tough time getting a hold of customer support when trying to cancel their account. As a courtesy, *********** has waived the $200 balance due and will not be putting the agents account into collection.
      In addition,

      *********** has taken this complaint as an opportunity to review and update our internal processes to ensure all employees are trained and aware of the proper procedure to prevent this issue from happening again in the future.

      Advertising/Sales Issues. Multiple calls and emails. Got around 10 calls in 20 minutes from robo and persons forcing insurance quote information. Blocking phone number didn't help because they are calling me from multiple phone numbers.Made the mistake of putting my information on their website not knowing my phone would be getting constant calls.I want the calls and emails to STOP.

      I have received several calls and text messages from State Farm for allegedly requesting a quote from QuoteWizard.com who sold my data to State Farm. I never requested any auto insurance from *********** and am alarmed by the fact that they are selling my personal information to other companies. I have absolutely no interest in having any of my personal information disseminated.

Our records indicated we received a lead on 6/12/2023 which the consumer completed a request for auto insurance quote inquiry form through one of QuoteWizards network partners, Allweb. Prior to completing the inquiry form through Allweb, a disclosure was displayed on the last step of the insurance request page stating how the consumers information will be used prior to the completing the form.  Once the consumer completed the form, they provided express written consent to allow Allweb to share the consumers information with their network partners and their affiliates for the purpose of providing the consumer with information about their financial services and products through telemarketing calls, text messages, emails, and/or postal mail from the website

      *********** is a leading insurance comparison shopping and research tool that enables consumers to compare agent and carrier quotes locally and nationally to get the best, most affordable coverage. Our goal is to match consumers with insurance agents/carriers in our network and for them to provide competitive insurance options for the consumer. The consumer was only matched with State Farm.  However, *********** added the consumers information to its Do Not Contact list and notified our referral agent(s) to cease all contact to the consumer immediately. Do Not Call list will take ***** hours to process and **** business days for all emails to subside. Please submit a subpoena to ************************ from law enforcement or from a prosecutor/lawyer to request additional information.

      Constant phone calls . I have found insurance already on my own . Made the mistake of putting my information on their website not knowing my phone would be getting constant calls . I'm terminally ill and need the phone calls to stop !

      I did a comparative quote for car insurance and wasnt aware that I would be hounded by this company. Ive received 5 plus calls from 2 different numbers (after blocking the first) within the last 4 hours.

      I purchased a bunch of leads from ************, gave them a $2000 deposit, and immediately from the start of the relationship ************ was unable to deliver anything promised. I had multiple issues over the course of a few weeks until I finally decided I did not want to deal with them any longer. I requested to cancel and get a refund on any unused portion of the deposit I gave. QW finally agreed and I have an email from an account **** *********************** on April 3rd, 2023, stating that my account would be canceled and I would receive a refund of $1,986.56 on 5/16. I never received the refund. My account has not been cancelled, and I have called them 3x today and after 10 minutes of sitting on hold, their phone system hangs up on me.

      Accidentally signed up for "Pick Health Insurance" with my phone number and email, since I signed up last night I've gotten 30 phone calls and text messages, and emails from all different numbers and addresses. I would like to be blocked from their list and not receive any more emails or calls or messages. No further contact by business please.
