4/19/24 to present Receiving multiple spam calls from QuoteWizard and whatever affiliates they're using to try to reach me. I've blocked all the numbers but I'm still getting 20 calls a day. I've asked to be put on the Do Not Call list. Nothing. Help~Business Response

As indicated in our response to consumers complaint on 04/23/2024, the QuoteWizard.com, LLC, team added the consumer to its Do No Call List (DNC), and we notified our network agents to cease contact. In addition, after receipt of consumers rejection to our response, we emailed our network agents, again, to escalate and cease all contacts with the consumer. If the consumer continues to receive calls, its possible the consumer submitted their phone number through other organizations not connected with QuoteWizard.com, LLC. The consumer should advise these organizations to add his contact information to their DNC list as the calls come in.

I am rejecting this response because: QuoteWizard should be more transparent about their business practices. On their home page they advertised "60 Million+ Quotes Generated," then when you choose your category (in my case, "Health") they immediately transfer you into the data collection stream. When I provided my personal information, my expectation was to receive online comparison quotes of leading health insurers (whose logos they display on the home page) that I could compare on my own. Instead, after clicking on the "Submit" button, I was immediately inundated with dozens of mostly robo-call phone calls, which, weeks later, I'm still trying to fend off. Maybe there was some small print text somewhere along the data collection stream that said this would be the result, but if there was, it certainly wasn't obvious. Net-net, this company makes money by distributing your personal information to vultures. Do not provide them with anything. The ****** I learned was: Be very careful giving your info to ANYONE, even so-called reputable companies who claim they are trying to provide a valuable service to consumers. Blah.

I requested a quote through this company thinking it was Aetna, due to the completely predatory nature of their placements and url. I since have been contacted no less than 45 times by them or whatever telemarketers they are. I have told every single person Ive spoken to, to remove me from their contact list as they no longer have consent to my personal information and I am still getting barraged. They lied and said they are paying for permission to contact me through healthcare.gov, but I even called them to see how thats possible because Im not in there and they of course said thats not the case and this company is a scam.I never want to be contacted by these predators and telemarketers again as I have explicitly taken away my consent and they are not abiding. I began receiving phone calls and texts from a health insurance network for a person named ******. I am not ******, and I keep getting these calls. Someone must have provided my phone number. I called QuoteWizard was told they would put my number on a DNC list and I still keep getting calls from lenders. I have had to block nearly 100 numbers in just 8 hours. Our records indicated on 04/15/2024, the consumers phone number came through a ****** Lead, under the name ******, for a health quote, matching the consumers phone number *************) as provided in the BBB complaint. However, the home address, and email provided by a ****** do not match consumers (***********************) information provided in the BBB complaint.
It appears that the consumers phone number was entered by mistake. We recommend if the consumers information was submitted anywhere else, the consumer can contact those organizations and request for the calls to cease and advise them of the situation. In addition,the consumer can inform the callers to add their phone number to the organization (s) Do Not Contact List, as consumer receives the calls.

My wife placed my phone number onto the online site for "quote wizard" and I, within minutes, have received over 20 phone calls from telemarketers. They come from spoofed phone numbers that are meant to **********, but are not. Many of the calls are listed as potential scam. I had called Quote Wizard about getting some ACA leads through them. The salesman deceptively told me that their leads were some of the highest quality leads in the industry. I dumbly believed him. When I received my batch of leads, most of the contact information I had received were either dead numbers or had no way to contact because there was no options for texts or voicemail. I was only able to get through to one person who cussed me out saying she did not inquire about getting health insurance. I tried to put in for some refunds for the obvious bad leads and those requests were denied immediately. Due to the fact that I was misled and I did not receive what I had paid for, I filed a charge back with my credit card company. Once quote wizard discovered this, they reached out to see what we could do to work out either a payment plan or some other compromise. I had responded to their email saying that I didn't have faith in working on some kind of compromise but I would be willing to hear what they had to say but they never responded to the email I sent them back and instead they went ahead and sent the debt to collections anyway. I want that collection eliminated and an apology for misleading me from their sales person. This is a very scummy way of doing business. I've dealt with my fair share of bad lead vendors and this one without a doubt takes the cake in how they operate.Business Response

I have started to receive tremendous amount of phone calls from quote wizard in august september 2022. Then later in 2023, I learned that my ex is claiming that I request those quotes so that I can get information about her. I contacted quote wizard and they ignore my request about investigating who made those request on august 2022 using my phone number. Also, the information given to insurance companies were misspelled. 3/13/2024 Consumer called about the request and to inquire on who made the request and when was the request made.
On 03/19/2024, the QuoteWizard team spoke to the consumer and reviewed previous leads (please see below) with the consumer, from 2018 to 2024 and was able to resolve the issues with the consumer.
The following past leads were received:
09/08/2018 We received a lead matching the phone number provided in the BBB complaint *************). However, the name and address did not match the consumers name and address provided in the BBB complaint. The lead was for an auto quote.
10/03/2019 We received a lead matching the name (************)and phone number *************) as provided in the consumers BBB complaint. However,the address did not match the address in the BBB complaint (****************************************** EE1, *******, ** *****). The lead was for an auto quote.

Do not call list will take ***** hours to process and 7-10 business days for the emails to subside. In addition, we are not able to remove the information from our database due to state and federal record retention laws. I am rejecting this response because:Even when you said you were going to remove me from the call list and even when I have told EVERY SINGLE AGENT that I do NOT WANT TO BE CALL AGAIN they keep calling me. This is harassment at this point. Please stop calling my cellphone, I do not want any services!
