3 years at this apt. prior to Maven take over.Communication other than the initial contact with *****, is virtually nonexistent. We waited 3 months for aresponse on lease renewal corrections request, but continued to pay rent, and then were asked to sign a shorter lease. This would have left a gap in our rental history so we declined and asked for lease to be done correctly as should have been ************* mailboxes were installed (after several break-ins) but was short two boxes. We were given $25 for the hassle, but then had to drive 30 min round trip each week to pick up mail. This would have been fine except that it took 3 months to finally get our mail box, which was not as secure as the others. We had credit card stolen from previous boxes and were disappointed to get the 2nd rate box which is still easily pried open. Upon finding our new apartment, it took 2 days for our new property manager to receive a rental history which normally takes a few hours. Lastly, out of our deposit, they took a cleaning fee of $175 when our unit was returned clean as per lease agreement. They also charged us to clean a carpet that is 5 years old and needs to be replaced. Our neighbor who had moved in just before us, received her whole deposit, was able to walk through with them (which I requested to no avail), and she was told that she would receive her deposit because they were not the property company when she signed her lease. Because we resigned with Maven, we feel like we were taken advantage of and should not have been charged at the very least, for the turnover cleaning which is typically the property management responsibility. I have never paid a cleaning fee and always leave the apt clean. I asked for this to be reconsidered and have not received a response for 5 days now. The balance of the deposit has been paid, but not a word from Anela. We rarely received communication from her when asked. It was like pulling teeth!

The ****** **** Apartments has had multiple complaints from tenants and surrounding neighbors regarding the unsafe conditions behind the apartment-particularly the garages and garbage area behind the building. There has been numerous requests to the property manager (************************* of Maven Properties NW) to secure and lock the garbage area and garage to prevent vagrants from creating a public nuisance by doing drugs in public, scattering trash and human waste in the public alley, and creating fire hazards that endangers the lives of the public. Despite months of contacting the property manager, ***** has failed to prevent unsafe living conditions for tenants and surrounding neighbors.

This assertion is unfounded. We have diligently responded to this matter since its initial complaint, repeatedly replacing locks and maintaining a secured environment through regular property visits. We have actively collaborated with law enforcement, advising tenants to contact 911 for trespassing incidents. Furthermore, residents have been informed of the procedure to report disturbances and trespassing by transient individuals. A vendor is presently slated to address the issue with the broken lock promptly.

Maven properties associates are either willfully ignorant, or bad at their jobs. They will leave tenants without bathroom use for months and drag them along, still collecting rent and taking weeks to respond. They sent my deposit check back late, I should have taken them to court. Any property they manage will be mismanaged, because their business model is terrible. Their practices are shady. Live in a property managed by literally anybody else. One associate in particular should have lost her job long ago, and the fact that she didnt is testament to how little they care about their tenants, or retention in general. Would give 0 stars. This business should not exist.
