I was a member of Crossfit Devotion from September 2021 until August 2024. In August 2024, the owner of the gym (REMOVED) terminated my membership, along with another member's membership. He cited reasons related to a relationship with myself and that gym member outside of the gym. Shortly after being terminated, the owner (REMOVED) took a call to discuss the decision, but did not offer a refund for my membership dues. He kept the money that was charged. He did not refund the sum of money to the other gym member or myself (about $300 in dues). Shortly thereafter, REMOVEDcalled surrounding gyms, such as The Buffalo Gym, to get myself and the other gym member (REMOVED) blacklisted. The Buffalo Gym can confirm that conversation. March 2025 REMOVEDhas now reached out to another gym (Imperial Crossfit) as the owner of CrossFit Devotion expressing concerns about myself and REMOVED. REMOVEDcontinues to use his business and power to deceive and harm those that are no longer affiliated with his business. We wanted a clean break from his business once we were terminated unfairly, and this business continues to intervene in our personal lives in a way that is harmful to our wellbeing.Business Response

We would like to left alone, every time we start to get some peace and separation from these two they get brave behind a keyboard and send messages to us. They were completely inappropriate at the gym and so I was asked them to leave. Did you guys want to stay at a place that you were not welcome anymore? Why are you trying to hard to come back to our gym when we have told you that we do not want you here. For two people that wanted to leave in peace they should do keep coming back a lot stirring the pot of lies they have convinced them self of. I have no problem protecting my members, family and business from people like you so this doesn't bother me at all. Can't remember about the refund honestly, if i said something on the phone i don't remember so thats my fault. If they want to resolve anything in person i would be happy to, or they can keep doing this stuff. Its a gym, move on and get over it REMOVED. you'r embarrassing your self now.Initial Complaint

Crossfit Devotion terminated my membership in July 2024 due to non-gym related issue. This i understand from their contract that they have the right to terminate for any reason. But after this occured, the business owner and his wife proceeded to call other gyms in the area to try and prevent membership. One being "The Buffalo Gym" in which you may contact if needed. As of today, that business owner is now calling the current gym "Imperial CrossFit" to try and defame character, almost a year later. They are using their business relation and power to try and harm others who no longer associate. You are welcome to call either of the gyms for collateral. I am highly concerned on how this business is handling situations after they are no longer members or under contact. They are also doing this to another ex-member who was also terminated from Crossfit Devotion. They called gyms in the area on that person as well - same gyms. That person is REMOVED.Business Response

We terminated you membership for gym related issue. We called our gym owner friends to warm them about your behavior because its common practice to do so with fellow owners. I would want the same done to me, and they were very happy we called and warned them, please call them to verify. The call today was not too defame character, but to follow up on the wish of a babies mother that they would stop posting pictures of her daughter on social media. Please call anyone to verify these stories. The fact she is hiding the real story of why she got kicked out should be most concerning to you, we do not allow the behaviors of her in our gym and proud to enforce this any day of the week. Feel free to call me anytime to discuss. This whole thing is a scam and i have hundreds of members who would agree with me
