      OfferUp kicked me off its site without any explanation a couple years ago. Recently, after over 2 years, Offerup sent me an email saying an item I had posted sold and it appeared to allow me to log in to use its site for selling items again, but after spending time posting items I realized I had zero views. I wrote them and they again prevented me from using there site to list items. I wrote a nice thoughtful email enquiring and they have not responded. Except they sent me a gonift.com gift certificate for $30. I have made 3 or 4 attempts to enquire as to why I am no longer able to use there site and they continue to ignore my messages. Its unacceptable the manner with which they neglect to fulfill a basic responsibility of having a minimal capacity to respond to customers with very reasonable and legitimate questions that should be elementary for a business of this nature. Rather, I question the quality of the people administering Offerups website and whether the many other obstacles in recent months I have experienced in prank phones and disruptions to my communications via buying/ selling sites is not the result of some criminal activity or depth of poor character within the hierarchy of OfferUps employees is not to blame for this negligent and/ or juvenile customer service hiring practices and subsequent behavior or perhaps the void of any expectations of its employees to interact with customers in the internet commerce as the expectation would be in physical retail businesses. Its discouraging that a company characterizing itself so fraudulently as being rooted in building a repose with the community is so irresponsible as to not need to justify the termination of one of its customers. Still not certain what gonift.com is, but likely will not find out because it requires becoming a member before being able to view anything they sell.

      They will offer people a "free 3 day trial" to promote your ad. The only issues is they make it hard to find info on how to cancel this trial and then they tell you that you have to cancel w/in 24 hours of your promo ending. Well, that's a 2 day free trial, not a 3 day trial. And to the average person, their directions for cancelling are confusing which makes their promo deceitful. cancelling should be just as easy as signing up but with Offer Up it's not. Also, they say they say they will charge your card **** but instead they'll slam you with a fee that's over $20 and then say it's non refundable

      For quite awhile all I've been doing with OfferUp is browsing until a week ago when I saw something I was interested in buying. When I went to contact the person selling the item OfferUp wanted me to sign up. They wanted to send me a verification number by texting it to my phone. I don't have a mobile phone and they won't send it by email. I contacted them and can't get anywhere because they just keep sending the same response letter to enter a mobile number.This is discrimination plain and simple. They won't let me do business on their site unless I have a mobile phone. I can't afford and I don't want a mobile phone and they are doing business as a public platform and should allow me to use my land line to verify like so many companies do.

      The following is what I sent to the OfferUp complaint department and have gotten nothing but a general form letter in response. I'm assuming there will be a field available to paste the letter to OfferUp where I will allowed to state my grievance in its entirety, but for now, here goes... To whom it may concern, I've composed the following message with great resolve to submit it to the Better Business Bureau for review. I believe I was unfairly targeted and hastily (and erroneously) booted off your website FOREVER. I do not wish to tarnish the good name of your organization, however if your staff remains hellbent on not rectifying my current banned status then the next obvious step for me to take would be to submit this message to the BBB. Something I can only presume will not get to that point as I still retain a little bit of hope and faith that this message will reach the proper people within your organization who might ***** it the credence it so amply deserves. Please take a minute to read what I have to say and you must excuse me if portions of this message tend to get a little heated and perhaps even rude. I did my best to keep it professional but when one's very livelihood has been so deeply affected by something that one feels is grossly unjust, one can be prone to get hot headed at times. It's something I'm passionate abouthence the insulting overtones. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I might be permitted once again to sell and buy on your website. I'm not holding my breaththank you for your time. Here goes..

      Absolutely horrendous platform. Littered with scammers, non-existent customer support, non-existent QC team. Just a cash grab. Legitimate users are unfairly banned, while scammers, fraudsters, and people selling fake items are allowed to run rampant. You better hope you never need customer support because it is basically non-existent. Takes days to get an email reply, and when you do, it is always a copy paste template response. Customer support agents are below average intelligence, and can barely read what you write. I had a 6 year old account with 400+ 5 star reviews, get randomly banned, and all I had was copy paste replies.

      I have shipped an item and the seller has offered me money but its been over a week and offer up is still withholding my funds and now it doesnt even show in my account like before I have emailed them twice and attempted to contact the support agent NO RESPONSEI need my money ASAP!!! This is robbery what they are doing

      I posted an authentic designer bag ,with certification and receipts for proof of its authentic . They kept closing my ad because they believe it wasnt real even though I submitted valid documents. I would submit a complaint about the ad being dropped then would repost it then less then 5 minutes later drop it again . This site management is highly unorganized and they should do better vetting of there ads .

      This service is now only a cash grab service. OfferUp 100% is only trying to cater to the dealers who will pay a substantial amount of money to advertise. I also have beef with offer up because I cant list one of my cars and make mention of my business. This is absolute bonkers. I have a legitimate brand, a massive website, tons of 5 star reviews and they have flagged my posts three times ALL PAID FOR and never got a reimbursement. Wouldnt this constitute fraud? -1 star for these people. The people working for OfferUp (who are probably too few to mention) should be ashamed of themselves.

      I've had OfferUp on my phone for a few years and over the past year they have continued to allow people to sell fake/replicas of ****** Silver Dollars. I have filed multiple complaints on OfferUp but the same people are still selling them months later. OfferUp has done nothing to fix or stop this and has ignored all my complaints.

      I signed up for the first time with offerUp to sell a washer and my truck. I forgot to add my phone number so they locked my account, I couldn't respond to all the offers I was getting. I corrected the problem and contacted their support, I have never seen a worse site and responses to fix the problem. I had to sign up twice to get my add back in. Paid twice. I had over 200 hits on my truck yet I could not get in contact with the offers. For my washer and Truck. I contacted Support still no resolution. I finally put my products on ********** and they both sold in 1 week. I have nothing for sale on their site. Now I am checking my bank statement and they are charging me for another month? I didn't sign-up for bill pay from them or on going subscription. I contacted them and I received no resolution. I will stop the payment with my bank. I suggest this site not be used.
