1 starAlarm.com contacted me stating they were representing ADT and that my panel was outdated and needed upgrade. I was told this service would be free of charge. A sales rep came to my home and advised that my ADT panel will soon quit communicating to the monitoring center and that an upgrade is required. I was told once they replace the panel my monitoring service would need to be moved to Brinks and my monthly rate would go from $27 to
$52 a month. I contacted ADT and they advised that this information is a lie. ADT states that there are no issues with my panel and my service will not be interrupted. It appears that Alarm.com was providing false information in order to move my business to another company. The ADT representative stated that they have been getting calls from other customers with the same concerns. This fraudulent activity is unacceptable!

We are a technology service provider staffed primarily by engineers that provides a software-as-a-service platform used by companies in the security and home automation industry. Alarm.com does not sell any of our products or services directly to the public or conduct telemarketing of any kind. Instead, we sell to businesses that resell our products to consumers. These businesses are independent companies and not affiliated with Alarm.com.
We would appreciate any information you have on the company contacting you because they are not permitted to use the Alarm.com name, logo, or website without Alarm.com’s approval.
