Power board is not working. Back switch lights up but it will not respond. Called the company and they had us plug the grill in off and on. They had us on a video line while we showed them all they requested that we perform on this item. It is 106 degrees outside and they wanted us to lay on the ground on the hot pavers and remove the bottom of the hopper plate. My husband is 81 y.o. and in a walker, it is not possible for us to do this. They were going to send someone to repair it for us but there are no companies nearby to do this.Business Response

Purchased a traeger flatrock griddle from authorized dealer and have nothing but bad lock with igniton. Sat on phone with traeger customer service for 2 hrs to get told we will.send parts. Bought griddle for a 5 yr warranty and for great customer service. Looking for replacement griddle. Replacing parts on a griddle that is not very old is not impressive. Side panels are turning white and top turning white. They offered to send parts for ignition stating they are not sure it will fix it. Offered new side panels but no top? What???? Our grills are made to function with a self service warranty, meaning if there is a need to replace parts we make it easily accesible to get to the parts as well as have replacement instructions to ensure that replacement is easy once the parts arrive. On the phone call with the team, we noticed you had the grill modified into a backyard cooking area, which could have an effect onto what is going on. I am rejecting this response because: I was offered some( not all) parts to fix. Offered two side tables and a ingition system with the manager stating they are NOT SURE it will fix the problem. With Traeger being a Name brand company and showing a 5 yr warranty i am looking for a replacement griddle to make this right or a refund or store credit to purchase a different brand that will work with a very angry customer who spent over $1000 on a griddle for a customer service and company to stand behind their product. I purchased a blackstone (way cheaper unit) with NEVER any issues for $349 and this griddle has nothing but issues from the start.

I am rejecting this response because: I am clearly asking for a replacement unit, this has been going on since i bought your PREMIUM PRODUCT. I should be able to work directly with Traeger **************** and should not have to open a case with BBB. I got a phone call yesterday from someone to discuss and they leave a message with NO direct phone number???? Im not sitting on hold and calling back. I would accept a replacement unit or a store credit to purchase a new one at the store. THATS IT. I understand warranty covers replacement parts, but my time is of value also and sitting on the phone with customer service for over 2 hrs for a manager to say to me Oh well we are not sure if this will fix it and we are only willing to try this. Now im asking for a replacement unit or a store credit to go get a new one. Please help me or this will be my last Traeger unit ever.

The grill had two sensor errors out of the box. I spent nearly 2 hrs using Traeger’s customer service chat function. After being told I need to replace several components, I inquired about returning the grill for a refund. This question was ignored in the chat, and replacement parts were shipped. I only received half of the parts to replace. I called customer service and waited another week for the remaining parts.
After replacing all the parts, the grill still did not function correctly. Called customer support again, and they wanted me to replace the mother board. Finally, they decided to replace the grill. The second grill arrived and was missing components making assembly impossible. They sent another grill; this one has electrical connection issues and stripped screws. I was told they would send the parts. Another week later, I received hardware that is incorrect. Called customer service again, and they told me the parts are 1 month delayed. I asked to refund my money and return the grill. I am being told, I cannot return the grill since it has been more than 45 days since the initial purchase. I asked to speak with someone from Traeger Corporate and was supposed to receive a call by 8/12/2025. I still have not been contacted.
It has been 9 weeks since I placed this order. I have spent over 8 hours working with their customer service, 4.5 hours assembling grills, disposal of 3 pallets worth of cardboard and still do not have a functional product.Initial Complaint

I have a warranty issue with my traeger I have called their customer support three times . Talked with a supervisor on the last call told her about the slow ignition error code she said she would contact the store I bought the bbq from because they are an authorized service provider in my area at first when I called they told me there was no authorized dealer in my area that’s what prompted me to ask for a supervisor she asked me for the company name which I gave her and the phone number she said she would call and get a work order started for them to come out and check the bbq and see what parts are needed to fix it . It has been two weeks since I talked with the supervisor I called back to customer support and asked for her they told me she wasn’t working so I asked for another supervisor and was told there weren’t any supervisors working that day and it’s been four days from that phone call so it’s been almost three weeks since I’ve tried to get this warranty issue resolved and be able to use my bbq . Also after I bought the bbq like two months after the purchase something went wrong with it I called Traeger support and they got a hold of the store and the tech came out and fixed it so they know about this authorized dealer my bbq is only two years old and it has a manufacturer warranty for 10 years on the part that I’m sure is the problem this was an expensive bbq as well at around 4300.00 dollars it’s a timberline xl. It very frustrating to spend that kind of money on something and to not be able to get it fixed so I can use it .Business Response

Our service dealers are a courtesy that we can offer with our warranty, although we are not able to ensure that service dealers will be available all across the states. With that, timeframe on resolution can vary on the store and their availability. We suggest reaching out to the dealer who is in charge of your service order to ensure the time frame meets your needs. The dealer can give you a better expectation on when you can expect to have the grill back, as they are responsible for the work.

The reason why it won’t work with what Trager sent back about having the store that I bought it from take care of the service. They told me specifically that I had to contact Traeger first to get Traeger to submit a work order to them before they could come out and do any work otherwise I incurred the charge for the service tech to come out of $344 which I am not going to do. It’s a warranty issue . So again, Traeger, customer support and the supervisor that I spoke to which her name is Jennifer last name starts with the letter E have not submitted a work order to Falco‘s in Spokane Valley for them to come out and take a look at the barbecue assess what the problem is submit an order for the parts to Traeger and get my barbecue fixed and like I said earlier in my first statement that I gave you, I have called Traeger customer support numerous times asked for that same supervisor I was told she wasn’t working. I asked for a second supervisor or a different supervisor and they said there were no supervisors working that day so I’m getting the runaround and I’m getting a little bit frustrated and upset with Traeger personally .Business Response

Extremely Disappointed – $500 Smoker Failed After Just 5 Uses
I’m incredibly frustrated and disappointed with my experience with Traeger. I spent $500 on one of your smokers after doing careful research and choosing your brand for its reputation. Sadly, the product completely failed me — and not after years of use, but after just five uses.
When the smoker stopped working, I called your customer service team multiple times. I followed your step-by-step troubleshooting instructions to the letter. I invested more than 12 hours of my own time disassembling, checking connections, and trying every fix suggested. Eventually, Traeger sent me a new control panel and additional replacement parts, but even those didn’t solve the problem. The smoker is still dead. And the “solution” they offer only creates more work for me.
This has been a huge waste of time, money, and energy. I purchased this grill based on trust in your brand — and now I feel completely let down. The product didn’t last, the replacement parts didn’t help, and I’ve received no resolution beyond wasted effort.
For a premium product from a premium company, this is unacceptable. I expected better, and I’ll be sure to share this experience with others so they can avoid the same costly mistake. Clearly, we have a lemon here- this is a brand new grill that DOES NOT WORK.Business Response

I have called Traeger Pellet Grills customer service over a dozen times since September of 2023. My Smoker, Pro 575, has had more control panels replaced and other parts replaced than normal. I have filed a warranty claim and replaced every part on the grill. They still claim the need to send more part prior to replacing the grill. This is false advertisement as I bought the grill woth the warranty so that I would not have to deal with these issues.
