    Probably the worst company I have ever dealt with, I am pretty sure this company is a scam. I was sold on GAP as a way to PAY OFF A CAR IN FULL IF IN AN ACCIDENT. Well the car was totaled in end of May of 2023 I got them all the documents by mid june I was told 2-3 weeks for processing. Well I called June 27th and said that it was approved and expect payment in 2-3 weeks. Well I called mid July and they said it was still being processed, gave another week and another week and another week and so forth, until I called on the **** and they said it was sent out the 10th and to give it a week, well on **** the bank still hasnt received anything, and now I was told they would be taking my deductible as well. I paid 1k for GAP and they are paying only 900 and it has taken months and still not paid off and they wont reissue a check for another 3 weeks???? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, IF A DEALER USES THEM TELL THEM NOOOOO!!!

    Was told by the dealership that I can cancel the warranty at any time. Its been 2 months since I put the request to cancel warranty and 4 phone calls. Was initially told it would take ***** days for the money to be returned. 2 months and they claim its still in process. About now, I doubt Ill ever have my money returned.

    *********************. They CLAIM to pay out most claims. Took my truck into get my passenger taillight wiring harness replaced. They will pay a whopping $57 of a $350 bill. Just about scam company like *************************.

    These guys are an absolute scam.I wish I read these other comments and 1 starts before I bought it. They drag their feet and hope you forget to call back or follow up. Its like they are on commission of parts they DONT fix. Paid **** for a warrenty. Car fan belt and cooling system goes out, I take it to a shop of my choosing, and because they dont believe its broken (even though we sent video proof and I wouldnt just take it to a shop after breaking down apperently). They dont trust me or the shops video proof so therefor wont cover anything. Not a *****. I have called them every day, and never received a call back to inform me whats going on. Only when I call days later they say they need to go to another shop. they said they cover up to 115 a hour in shop labor and I agreed to pay the difference and now they wont. They are also calling the shop liars even though no where in the contract doesnt it say I cannot go there for repairs. Complete scam and waste of money.

    Hi *****, we are sad to hear that you feel like you were scammed, but the video you claimed showed proof actually showed no proof of any problems. We could have denied the claim then and there, but we instead offered to tow your vehicle at no expense to you to an alternate shop for a second opinion. The shop you took your vehicle to initially is notorious for fraudulent and over-priced repairs, and they are flagged in our system as such. This typically results in a longer time for claim processing, as our underwriters are required to thoroughly check every aspect of the claim. We informed you of this when you initially called us and you said where you had taken it to, and we offered a free tow right then to move the vehicle to a more trustworthy shop. You also claim we drag our feet, however after looking over the timelines it was the shop that was dragging their feet in that they were slow to respond to our questions and took days to produce any video of the issues. You also ended up approving the shop to move forward with the repairs without approval from us, which it states on the top of the first page of your contract in bold not to do. The shop has done enough warranty claims over the years to know this would be an issue but didn't bring it to your attention. In the end, your frustration with us is never something we want, and we try to point people to different shops to avoid this exact situation. We hope to change your perception of us as we continue to service your vehicle.

    I was lied to at point of sale, that if I decide to cancel the warranty it will be prorated back. That is not true they refuse to cancel the warranty so if you sell the car you are ***. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

    I purchased a 4year extended warranty for $3751 a year latter I decided to cancel the contract because I was selling the car. Sorry *** didn't you read the small print on the 4th page of the contract. if you put your reading glasses on you would see it says no refunds after 180 days you are ***. This may be legal but it sure as heck not ethical. I am 83 years old and still learning **********

    I had a snarly situation: we bought a used car in **** that had only one key. We needed to drive it home to **********, so the dealer said he would write into our service contract the creation of a second key. When I spoke with someone at the AUTTO ***************************** shortly after the purchase, they said it was needful to get the second key from the dealership. We weren't returning to UT for months. We're headed back this weekend, but I learned that the dealership doesn't do keys. Frustrated, I spoke to ******* today and she said the contract ONLY paid for a second key IF the first key was lost or damaged. I went crazy. She let me speak to ******. He smoothed everything out, helping me arrange to get the second key. (I don't even need to go back to that lousy dealership.) He was kind, thorough and detail-oriented. He treated me with respect, even after I had snapped at his colleague. I'm a satisfied customer!

    Do not purchase a warranty with this company. They drag their feet to process your claim hoping you will get frustrated and not follow up to get them to fulfill their obligation. My mechanic contacted them as instructed and was waiting to hear back from them. I followed up as well and was told that my mechanic had not contacted them yet. No documentation in my file of phone or email contact from my mechanic is what they told me. Called my mechanic he assured me that he did contact them and spoke with them. He tried again for the rest of the day to call them back with no success. The next morning he was able to speak to someone and was instructed to send the estimate via email. I am waiting for a call back to approve cost estimate and repairs. It should not take to two days and a bunch of hand holding to get a claim filed and the process started. Their people are either incompetent or intentionally delaying as a tactic to not have to pay.

    Hi ***** Your complaint has been forwarded to our operation department and we will strive to be better. We do believe the insinuation that we intentionally delay talking with customers or shops is unwarranted and is certainly not part of our culture.Our call logs indicate that the shop did not call us until after we told you we had no phone or email contact from your mechanic. And when the mechanic did call us, they were placed in a typically short holding queue but hung up after only 17 seconds. The next morning they left a voicemail at around 10:30, and by 12:15 we spoke with your shop. We agree that the hour and 15-minute duration between calls is not up to our standards, but our call center received an unexpected spike in calls that morning.As we mentioned before, we will continue to improve our processes to ensure our call center is better equipped to handle the influx of calls.

    Thieves. Paid $2,836 to the dealer for their warranty. Traded in my truck a few months later needed something bigger. Dealership didn't transfer my warranty and I didn't know I needed to call. When I called they basically stated I was SOL. They made $2,836 without letting me cancel, pay to transfer, use as credit towards a new warranty. Nothing. ************ there's a lot out there like this. Be careful

    I do not recommend buying an extended warranty from this company! They do not represent their options honestly. I posted a review on ****** about this, and the manager called me back. But all he wanted to do was argue with me and make excuses! You pay thousands for these warranties and when you need it most they leave you hanging!

    Hi *******,We are sorry you feel like your options were not presented honestly. Up to this point, you have experienced 3 claims with your contract. One of those claims was denied to it being a maintenance item which your contract clearly stated would not be covered. On another claim, our in-house technicians requested that **************** ADD parts and labor that we covered due to our concerns that their fix would not fix the problem you were having. We can assure you no other service contract company would have offered to pay more than what the shop recommended. Our culture at Autto is to look out for the customer, and not look for ways to avoid paying for claims. On your most recent claim, we approved the maximum amount of coverage the contract allowed for the issue you were having. We also provided several other options for you to lower your out-of-pocket expense, but instead you told our team to "F*** off". At this point, we have approved more than almost double the amount you paid for the contract, and you still have remaining coverage. While we hope your vehicle doesn't have any further issues in the future, we will be happy to assist you and provide first-in-class customer service if any other issues come up.
