      Totally agree with what everyone else has said. Nothing but a scam. I bought the preventative maintenance plan. They only wanted to reimburse me $100. Finally got them to agree to $140(still not enough) and got a follow up email from the supervisor saying they dont normally reimburse for routine maintenance. Huh? Yet they charge several hundred dollars more than the standard. Wish I could leave less than a star.

      Fraudulent extended service plan... Do not purchase this plan. I had a machine failure within the parts warranty coverage period. I contacted UTS and paid $162.00 to schedule a service call. The servicing technician (Fitness Machine Technicians) charged me $225.00 for the service call before diagnosing my machine. He had no knowledge of UTS involvement. I paid the $225.00 and notified UTS. UTS reimbursed me $159.00 and canceled the repair order. I was contacted by the Fitness Machine Technicians to pay for the part before they could order it. I paid for the part received the paid invoice and scheduled the final repair. After the repair I contacted UTS and they would not honor the contract. They informed me that when they reimbursed me for the $159.00 they were done with the repair. UTS did not honor the extended service plan, incompetent communications to the repairing facility, and miss led the Customer. Do not purchase any service plan from UTS....

      UTS doesn't even deserve 1 star. If you live in a rural area their service agreement is an absolute scam. There is a stupid, vague, clause that basically allows them to charge you for a service fee visit if a technician isn't within 25 miles. Their techs quit all the time, which makes that distance impossible. Techs quitting is another reflection on the company. Our treadmill platform just broke for the third time, but somehow it still doesn't fall into their "lemon policy" either, so we can pay $100 to have them come replace the platform again so it can break in 3 months, and we can pay another $100 for them to repeat. (We have a Proform- wouldn't recommend.) OR we can have them send us the platform and we can install ourselves, so it can break in 3 months again......repeat cycle. The person I spoke to wouldn't even let me speak to the manager. Total scam company.

      UTS charges $169 just to look at your treadmill. This warranty is a total ripoff. They will not come out to fix it unless the treadmill completely stops functioning. In other words, the charge for a warranty was $239 plus $169 to come to your door. So you have spent $500 before anything is taken care of. Plus they pretty much make you videotape and prove the issue. Run from these rip off artists.

      At least all the comments are people who could actually reach somebody. My warranty is going to expire soon on my treadmill and I can’t reach anybody in order to purchase extended warranty. I can reach the US office but not the Canada one, which I keep being told is who I have to talk to. We have tried transfers from the US office and transfers from different departments in Canada. I have tried emailing - surprise, surprise - no response. I have been trying to call repeatedly every day for almost two weeks - “all circuits are busy”. I even get the all circuits are busy after hours. I believe this is a recorded message, not a telephone carrier message.

      Unbelievable. They just want to run out the clock on their warranty. Given the terrible reviews that are already on here, I don't even want to waste the effort to document the insane amounts of run-around they give to either avoid repairing, avoid responding, or GOD FORBID - honoring the warranty that we all purchased. I have had the same part of my machine cease operating no less than 5 times, when I recited the "Lemon Policy" back to them verbatim, the agent on the phone then started gaslighting me on technicalities of the timing of the repairs that indicate this is not a lemon policy component. THE SAME PIECE HAS BROKE NO LESS THAN 5 TIMES! I have had the same tech out to fix it. (Let's not forget, during the pandemic, they wouldn't send techs, so we had to replace the parts ourselves - I am sure they will find a way to say that because I replaced it because they wouldn't send a tech, the work wasn't done right and therefore negates the warranty).Slimy, sleezy, unethical - they are the worst. I hope someone smarter than me organizes a class-action lawsuit to run them out of business and even look at criminal charges for the people who perpetuate this culture of garbage. They STEAL money from people, do not honor their contracts. If you are an employee of this company, I am sorry - there are better jobs out there. This company has zero pride in what they do.

      Thank you for reaching out to UTS, we hope to ensure that all of our members have a pleasant experience and understanding of the coverages they have purchased. It is important that we differentiate the difference between the Manufacturer Warranty Coverage and the UTS Warranty Coverage. The Manufacturer warranty for your product was for 1-year labor coverage and 2-year parts coverage. We have identified that while under the manufacturer parts warranty you had several parts sent out to repair the unit and UTS dispatched a technician in each of those scenarios to repair the unit. Under the UTS coverage a technician has been out to the home for service repairs 5 times including during the ***** era. The most recent service request will be the 6th technician visit to repair the product. Under the UTS coverage for parts there have now been 3 parts orders, these parts orders only reflect the timeline under the UTS parts coverage. All parts that were provided under the manufacturer parts warranty are exempt from the UTS Lemon Policy because those parts are not attributed to the coverage you purchased. It is important to note that the UTS coverage is first and foremost a parts and repair plan. When consumers have concerns about the product quality or ongoing issues we recommend reaching out directly to the manufacturer of the product. We are dedicated to ensuring that when a claim is filed that we address the concerns and restore the product to manufacturer specifications to ensure regular operation of the product.       We are in an ongoing struggle to get our treadmill working. Since June I have spoken to at least 10 people at UTS. We have had their local technician out 4 times to replace different parts. 1 person was actually nice enough to give me her email so we'd have 1 person to contact. Her name is ***** and I've emailed her twice since the original email with no response. I've been told 4 times in the last 3 weeks that they needed to reach out to the technician first. He is given ***** hours to respond. I never hear back from anyone. I have to call them each time to follow up to go through the whole process again. They all act like they want to be helpful and troubleshoot. There is then zero follow-up. They appear to only have 1 technician in ******* so some of our appointments have been 10 days out. The parts as well as the cost of the technician at this point cost more than what we originally paid. This has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing process for doing what we thought was the right thing in purchasing an extended warranty. Our hands are tied unless we want to eat the costs of repairs or a new treadmill ourselves.

      UTS reached out to the member and confirmed that the necessary parts were not in the members home and that she has not heard from the tech even though the SO showed an apt for 9/29/23. Also, that the walking belt is randomly shutting off still. We sent the motor, motor controller and a walking platform for a friction issue. I sent the member an email to keep in touch with me, about the tech apt. We are working with the technician to ensure that the customers appointment is set and that the unit is repaired. We will continue to pursue a desired resolution for the member to ensure the unit is operational.

      Not sure I should even give one star. Have called on my Nordic track **** commercial treadmill. They refuse to service or replace the treadmill and our service plan doesn't expire until December 2023. Email and phone conversations. They do not care.

      Thank you for reaching out to UTS, our records indicate that iFIT and NordicTrack advised you that older units would no longer be supported by their software to utilize iFIT subscription workouts. UTS has requested confirmation via video that the unit is not operating to manufacturer specifications in Manual Mode. To date, we do not have a record of a video supporting that the unit does not work in Manual Mode. If you can supply a video to ********************************** we will be happy to review and continue to work with you towards a resolution if warranted. Thank you.

      Regarding UTS, our elliptical machine has been out of commission and we keep calling and they first sent a technician tat did something but after they left the machine is making a big noise and it is impossible to use.We keep calling the UTS people and they keep telling us that the technician has a WO2773776 and he is supposed to call back in 24 hrs, we have been waiting for days now and nothing.They have zero interest in actually resolving the issue promptly, or maybe never.UTS should lose any form of BBB rating based on reviews left here by other customers. Where is protection for consumers?We all deserve a refund for extending our warranties. This is literally a scam company. How they have an A- BBB rating is beyond me.It is unreal that customers are taken advantage by this companies and paying for a warranty that is not going to work for them.I wished I had read about this company before paying from my hard earn money. Its been a terrible experience and the machine is in worse condition than when the technician came to fix it. Now we are not able to use it at all. The rating is less than one star.

      Similar to other reviewers, I cannot emphasize strongly enough that this company does not honor their warranties and has zero interest in supporting resolution for their customers. Do NOT buy a warranty from this company. I also will leave a separate review for NordicTrack as this is the second treadmill we have owned with issues (shame on us for giving them another chance). Regarding UTS, our treadmill has been out of commission for 21 months. After the initial round of repairs it functioned for about 6 months before reverting back to the same issue (belt stops mid-run causing risk to runner). They have sent multiple technicians and parts, none of which have been able to successfully fix the issue. They have zero interest in actually resolving the issue promptly, have often had parts on backorder (leaving us with a paperweight for a workout machine), and have been inconsistent in their communication. With competitors entering this space I think NordicTrack needs to be very mindful of companies they choose to partner with that are customer facing and represent their products. Strategic error on their part. And UTS should lose any form of BBB rating based on reviews left here by other customers. Where is protection for consumers?
