I use dhtis company to lease a product from a furniture store, and the couch I purchased is faulty, it is broken. This is the second couch I have from the same furniture store, as the original also broke or had issues that could not be repaired. I reached out to progressive to assist in the issue, and was told I still needed to pay for the product even though its broken. I do not wan to pay for something I am unable to use. I think that progressive needs to reach out the the furniture store and get the money back from them. As it is should be their responsabilty to collect or pay on an item I cant use.Business Response

I called on 4/4 and had them place an order for a refrigerator for Lowes. When everything was complete I was given a delivery date of 4/5. On 4/5 Lowes called while trying to deliver the fridge, he asked if I was at a business and started reading off the address. Come to find out whoever did my paperwork submitted Progressive Leasing address as the delivery address. I called progressive leasing who told me to call Lowes because they couldnt do anything about it. I called ***** customer service who said they couldnt change their he order I would have to wait for it to return to the warehouse and then replace the order whoever could take up to 10 days. I called Progressive back again and spoke with two separate supervisors. They told me they could process it again however delivery was not for another two weeks. I told them I wanted to speak with someone else because this was u acceptable and that was not a real solution on their part for their employees mess up as this was the only thing I was being told could be done and now I was going to be out of a refrigerator even longer due to the mistake. In order to speak to someone else I was told it would be about an hour before someone could call me back that I could speak to and I told them that was fine. Needless to say no one ever called me back. I have done business with progressive for quite sometime and never had an issue until this and for no one to blatantly not call me back clearly shows how much they care about fixing the issue they caused.Business Response

ordered on 8/5, went on vacation and never received the item as I was on vacation. I made 3 payments before the refund was processed to progressive leasing from best buy. the refund was finally processed on 8/23-due to *** delaying the item back to Best Buy-I never even received the item as I stated above.I was refunded $89.94 (refund should be $199.13) from Progressive but I paid them a total of $199.13 - i just want my full refund back-the item was never received by me, and it is not fair that I have to be penalized for how long the refund took to be processed and went over progressive leasings 5 day window. its just a shame because I have been a loyal customer and have paid all of my leases on time without any issues and Progressive leasing clearly does not value me as a customer.Business Response

I thought I was going to have to purchase a refrigerator at the last minute. Mine had stopped working and I did not have the money to buy one. I went to ****** and found a refrigerator. I was going to purchase it through the Progressive Leasing LLC that they have there at ******. I was approved and found the refrigerator. I called the company and talked to them about this item. Went through the leasing process and paid them $***** for a down payment. I went home and figured out it was a fuse and the **************** came to replaced it. I got up Sunday morning on August the 13 and started the process of not purchasing the refrigerator and talking to a representative at Progressive about cancelling the purchase. I sent them a copy of the receipt from Lowes on the cancellation and talked to the Representative about the refund of the *****. She said it would be ten business days. I check yesterday and I still not have the refund. I called them today (8/31/23) and I had to tell the representative the whole story again. The acted like they knew nothing and acted like I still had the lease. I let them know I kept all the documentation and that I will not use them again. I let my credit union know about this and see if they could watch to make sure they closed the lease out and I was expecting the refund. This is not very professional and why did they not have notes of this. I would get in trouble from my employeer if I hadnt done my job.Business Response

Date of Transaction: 10/02/2022, the amount of the transaction total is $3,596.80.
I called Progressive Leasing on 10/02/2022, to get a loan to purchase a Rand One Professional Motorized DJ Controller. The equipment was new and the price of the equipment before tax was $1,599.00. While on the phone with the representative, I notice the total cost of the loan said $3,596.80. So, I asked him if the price of the equipment was $1,599.00, why did it show the total loan amount as $3,597.80. The representative told me that was the amount I was approved for. I asked him once I paid off the equipment for the purchased amount of $1,599.00 plus tax, would I need to pay the additional approved amount. The representative stated, no unless I added additional purchases. The company is charging me an additional $1,997.80 for leasing the equipment. I purchased 3 rent to own items from a retailer on Proggressive leadings website by the name of Instant Finance. For weeks I attempted to contact instant finance to track my items. At one point I finally got a hold of a representative by the name of ******. She stated that one of the items was out stock and can be replaced with a similar item, I agreed and asked for tracking information. She stated I would receive it soon (last week of July)I never got it. I then received a notice from the leasing/finance company who stated that all my items were delivered on July 24th and my first payment would be due the following payment period of August 11th. I immediately contacted them and told them to help me because this was inaccurate information. I was told by the first rep that they would escalate to another department and they would contact Instant finance 24 to ask for an update. A week went by and no updates from Progressive leasing or Instant finance. I finally got an email on August 4th from Melody at instance finance stating the one of the three items will be delivered on August 6th. I asked for the other items tracking information and she said she would send it, she never did. I then have been harassed by Progressive leasing requiring payment and illegally them stating that my account was past due. *** asked them to get the proper tracking information where they will see that the items were delivered between the 8/6-8/8 and that per their policy my first payment wouldnt be due until August 25th. They insisted I was incorrect and that all items had been delivered on July 24th. I said I have proof of tracking that says otherwise & asked them not to contact me until they do proper research and update my account accordingly and for them to follow their policy and guidelines instead of trying to work around them. They replied today with the tracking but my account remains past due which is still incorrect. They are obviously unwilling to abide by their policy.Business Response

There charging me more than i was supposed to pay i've already payed $500 and still owe a $1000 I am being scamed by this business they call harrasing me. I bought a refrigerator at Lowe's last September 2022. The refrigerator was defective and I filed a BBB complaint against Lowe's, who reluctantly finally came and picked the refrigerator up on July 9, 2023, after 4 months of it not working. Progressive Leasing is now refusing to refund my money of 1,499.00 and after several months of hassling with Lowe's to issue a credit invoice, which they did do for the amount of $1,499.00, but now Progressive Leasing is refusing to refund the amount and has only offered to refund less than half of my money, with no explanation. They hang up on me when I call, they threatened not to refund any money to me at all because of my "attitude" For months now, I get told, it will be another 7-10 business days, but now they are refusing to refund the total amount of $1,499.00 and are keeping the rest with NO EXPLANATION at all, other than, I keep being told, I will have to check with my supervisor, and they will call you, which they have not one time ever called me back!Business Response

Im **** I began a lease for a laptop. The laptop was for my new job and I had advised I chose that specific one because it was going to be here prior to my training class starting. I was assured that everything would be fine and I would get the laptop as they pushed me through the contract. After the contract was signed I was then advised three days later that the laptop would impact not be there for another month, which I could not do because of my job. I contacted progressive they told me they could not help me. Theres nothing they can do told me to call ***** **** told me to call them and I dealt with us for two weeks straight. Finally I was able to talk with somebody and have a laptop that was supposed to be sent out and delivered at the same time as the other one, so I would not miss my classes. Because of this my contract now increased significantly for each payment longer hold. I have been trying to return the laptop and cancel the contract since July 3 as I no longer have my job since the laptop was not delivered in a timely fashion I spoke with one person they transferred me and I sat on hold for over an hour **** tells me they cant help me progressive keeps transferring me, but they keep taking my money when they know that I need to send this back and honestly I have to send it back because of the companies that are working together. I will never do business with this company again because Ive never been so alone as a consumer trying to get help to be told its not their problem its not their responsibility however, theyre able to continue to take the money out of my bank account without offering any assistance or responsibility.Business Response

I used Progressive to purchase a mattress on July 3rd The mattress made me sick and I was rushed to the *** I retuned the mattress 8 days later. Was charged a restock fee of $80 and a pick up fee of $99. I did not have the mattress delivered and was willing to return it on my truck myself. The price Progressive charged was $938.34 what went back to them was $620.01 which still has me owing $318.33. I am willing to pay their $80 taxes & 90 day lease to own cost of $59 because I was stupid and didnt check them out. This is a predatory company and I want to warn consumers.
