After Purchasing two items from K jewelers, one item I attempted to return within the allotted return time. Progressive Leasing refuses to allow me to return the one item without the other, the other item I no longer have because it was gifted to a family member as a birthday gift.Business Response

In April 2025, I purchased a washer and dryer from Appliances Direct in Orlando, Florida, financing the purchase through Progressive Leasing under their advertised 90 days same-as-cash promotion. At the time of purchase, I was never informed that I needed to call or take any action before the 90-day period ended to qualify for this offer.
I made all payments on time, including extra payments beyond the autopay amount to reduce the balance faster. In July 2025, when I attempted to pay off my account online, I discovered that my balance was $700 higher than expected. After waiting more than 30 minutes, I spoke with a representative named **** *****, who informed me that I had exceeded the 90-day period by 7 days, and that my account had reverted to a 12-month financing term. This contradicted the contract I signed, which contains three different financing options and my account payment schedule reflects a 24-month term.
Despite paying more than the original purchase price, I am still being charged monthly payments through April 2026. When I raised these concerns with customer service, I was offered a partial discount which I found unfair. Attempts to escalate the issue to higher management — including emails sent on July 23, 2025, to ****** ******** (Chief Operations Officer), ***** ******** (President & CEO), and ******* ****** (Director of Customer Payment Assistance) — received no response.
This experience represents misleading advertising, contradictory contract terms, and poor customer service. I request that Progressive Leasing honor the original 90-day same-as-cash offer and remove all additional charges related to the 7-day delay, and that consumer protection agencies investigate this matter to prevent similar occurrences.Business Response

I purchased a mattress through this company (mattress firm), when my account was set up, I called progressive to get due date set up on July 18th at 825am. The representative i spoke with confirmed that my payment would start in August 15th. This company has taken a payment out of my account on August 4th for which is the wrong day for an amount I did not authorized. As of today August 7th they have taken another payment out. Both charges are unauthorized. My bank has not gotten involved.Business Response

Cricket Wireless is where I have My Phone service through but I kept on having issues with Samsung and Motorola Phones at their business, but I couldn’t afford another Phone I’m disabled and only get paid once per month, they pulled out this Pamphlet they had which featured their Graphics’s and said I could fill out the Paperwork and possibly get Credit through them to get an iPhone, never had an iPhone so I filled it out thinking they would deny Me like everyone else but they didn’t; they offered Me $1,400.00 in Credit. Payment was only supposed to be $80.00 per month which I was happy with but now they are charging $147.00 per month that I cannot afford. Customer Service will not answer the Phone to speak with Me, now they won’t answer Cricket either, I need the Phone but that Payment is way too high; seems to Me like they take advantage of people who need help by saying one thing but then do another and Cricket needs to distance themselves from these people before it effects them. I’m going to Cricket today to figure out how to deal with this, do I change My Debit Card number and walk away who knows but I gotta do something because I cannot pay this it’s almost double what was promised it would be.Business Response

They’re charging approx $200 more than the retailer informed me and refuse to help find a resolution. The companies they work with is a reflection of their own and if their company is providing false information about a lease, and the leasing company doesn’t care to make it right, it feels like cheating and scamming customers out of way more money than originally promised.Business Response

In June of 2025 I was approved for a lease and paid $21.19 for the down payment. All was good until the item arrived defective and returned the item. Return was accepted on June 22, 2025 by the store BestBuy. Called Progressive Leasing today(July 10, 2025) about the down payment refund as there website says they charge no Fees! I was told that my down payment was not refundable as the item was returned within 5 days. This is robbery, send A defective item back and get no refund is WRONG! I will never use Progessive Leasing again and Do Not recommend this company! Sad and Disappointed!Business Response

I purchased 2 items with Progressive Leasing at Best Buy. I went to return 1 item but Best Buy told me that the return window ended. When I spoke to Progressive they told me I would have to return both items to cancel this lease. The other item I want to keep was a gift for my child and I am not about to take it away from her. That makes 0 sense for me to return both items to get out of a lease just to buy the item again that I want to keep. Now I am stuck paying for an item that I don’t even want and this is unacceptable. Do better Progressive!Business Response
