I am filing a formal complaint regarding BambooHR's billing and collection practices, which I believe were unfair and lacked adequate customer communication. Our company subscribed to BambooHR for one month. On the first day, I emailed BambooHR requesting to terminate the service. I was told it could not be canceled immediately, but I was never informed that cancellation had to be submitted before a renewal date to avoid another monthly charge. We did not use the service during the second month, yet BambooHR charged us again. Believing the charge was invalid, we disputed it through REMOVEDAfter the chargeback, BambooHR never contacted us about any balance. We received no payment reminders, overdue notices, or warning that the account could be sent to collections. Instead, our first notice was a collection letter from REMOVEDdemanding $250. We immediately contacted BambooHR but were told the account had already been transferred. To avoid possible damage to our business credit, we paid the $250 and retained proof of payment. We believe BambooHR acted unreasonably because we attempted to cancel immediately, were never informed of any cancellation deadline or automatic renewal policy, did not use the service during the second month, and were given no opportunity to resolve the matter before it was sent to collections. We respectfully request reimbursement of the $250 payment, a review of BambooHR's collection procedures to ensure customers receive notice before collection referrals, and written confirmation that this matter will not affect our business credit. If any collection information has been reported to any business credit bureau, we request that it be corrected or removed. We appreciate your attention and look forward to your written response.Initial Complaint

We signed up for Bamboo HR in Q3 2024 and was told by our sales person that we had access to payroll. Well, unfortunately, at the end of our onboarding we did not. Also, Bamboo HR did not support our various countries of employment. We cancelled services with a manager and was told no billing was due. REMOVED-REMOVEDhas been emailing us as of late, almost 2 years (in May 2026) later asking for us to pay a balance for services never rendered or never utilized. We never once received a notice from Bamboo HR of a past due account, nor were we advised we would need to pay to terminate because Bamboo HR was unable to meet our needs.Bamboo HR should have confirmed project scope before wasting everyone's time.Initial Complaint

Every day that company sends an email pushing their services to me and 100 of my employees. I have called and written to low-level employees and the CEO asking them to leave us alone. They do not respond. I just want them to stop. I want no money.
