Marcus has charged my account with a sizable early withdrawal penalty based on false information that was given to me by their agent on a recorded line. Marcus also failed to verify actual financial transactions on their internet system that clearly indicate my intention of closing a CD with instructions that a certain amount be rolled over into a new CD and the remaining funds transferred to my bank. I am attempting to recover these funds.

Opened a high yield saving account with them about a year ago. Went to log into my accounts and I was locked out. When I called to see why I was locked out I was told they would no longer be doing business with us and our account would be closed. I was told we would get a wire transfer back to our original back within three days. It's been 3 days and I got a call that they denied all transfers. How do you close my account but won't let me retrieve my money? Spent two hours on the phone and still got no where. I would not recommend Marcus to anyone. There should be no reason why we can't obtain our own money. They didn't give us an explanation as to why our account was even closed or locked to begin with. Save your time and go elsewhere.

The worst bank. They let me do a wire transfer on September 19th, now Im trying to do the same wire transfer on October 6th and they say Ive now become ineligible. How does that happen? Its my money. They wont let me have my own money? Im pretty sure thats illegal. Then when I ask how Ive become ineligible they cant tell me because its a case by case basis. Is that profiling?? Case by case means they just get to choose if they want to be nice that day? So ridiculous. Do not bank with them if you want access to your own hard earned money

I'm giving them 1 star as this seems to be the average customer experience. Unfortunately I checked BBB after having recently opened a ladder of CD's with them. Had I read the BBB reviews, I wouldn't have touched them with a ******** the meantime the BBB gives them an A+ rating. This leaves me to feel that the BBB has become bogus, whereas it was once a trusted source.Oh well, at least you didn't delete the unfavorable comments of the many people who find themselves in customer service h*** I'm praying that my experience will be uneventful.

The online company Marcus by Goldman Sachs, uses a company named **** to handle part of their Deposit and Fraud affairs. **** is known to hire drug addicts and criminals. The company had to fire a good percentage of staff because they failed to do proper background checks. I was not trained properly for my role and was thrown on the floor with empty promises that we will have trainers to walk around and answer questions. I've read reviews and it seems because Goldman Sachs entrusted their affairs with the likes of ****. **** has leadership who they just randomly threw in the roles because I received this from the horses mouth and it shows. I think Goldman Sachs should reconsider their relationship with this company given the fact their have been numerous misfiling of disputes. Placing customer's accounts on hold who should not even be considered suspicious.

Very fraudulent bank. Deposited a check into my savings account and it has cleared over two months. When I tried taking some funds out, they blocked my account and been giving me the run around. Every representative tells you a different thing, saying they will escalate the issue, leave notes, but nothing happens. They will send you dispute letters, tell you they are investigating your case, investigation over, and in your favor, but still will not give you your money. They record calls but once you tell them you are recording too they will hung up. SCAM *** SCAM OF A FINANCIAL INSTITUTION

It is common for customers of ********************** to experience significant difficulties in getting their funds disbursed. Several complaints report that large transfers or withdrawals are delayed, declined without clear reasons, or put on hold due to unexplained security or system issues. Customers often face poor communication from customer service, being bounced between representatives with conflicting information or no resolution. Some accounts are even locked or frozen due to identity verification problems, with limited guidance on how to resolve the situation while funds remain inaccessible. These problems can cause serious stress, especially when funds are needed for time-sensitive purposes like home purchases.

Would not allow me to transfer funds to my sons savings account. Their policy does not reflect current bank common practice. They could not find anyone to request an exception or change to the policy

Great banking service and love the apple wallet feature. But when I had debt they started calling me non stop even on weekends. I under calling me to get me to pay my debt but calling me on the weekends, when I'm trying to relax from working during the week, unsatisfactory.
