      I had my vehicle ONE year before it was totaled. Used the warranty once. Paid over ***** for it. Contacted them about a partial reimbursement and they denied it. ************.

      Mr. Morgan,

      Our records show we have paid a total of $2,996.10 in claims for your contract therefore there was no cancellation refund owed to you due to claims paid.  We used the calculation on the terms listed under the cancellation section of the agreement, a pro-rated amount of the Agreement Purchase Price, based on the greater days in force or miles driven based on a term of 5 years or 100,000 (one-hundred thousand) miles from the date of sale and mileage listed on page 1, less a seventy-five ($75) cancellation fee and where permitted by state law, less any paid claims. To determine the pro-rated refund the Contract term remaining in months was used and there was also $2996.10 in paid claims that were deducted from the calculation. If you would like to discuss further please call Customer Service.

      The day before the last day of our warranty period we were told by Gold Standard that we were good to file a claim the next day to replace our battery, which was covered by our contract. But the next day someone else at Gold Standard told us that our warranty had expired. This was in the middle of the day when there were still several hours before COB, close of business. Yes, that was the last day of the warranty period. But the warranty had not expired yet because the last day is included in the time frame the warranty is still good. They would not honor the warranty even though I was still within the terms of the contract. It is extremely frustrating.

      My A/C went out, and in March of this year I got a quote to get it fixed. The shop quoted me at about $3000. Gold Standard said they would pay $1500. The guy at the shop told me that if he used the parts Gold Standard wanted him to use the A/C was going to go out again real soon. I took it to another place and got a quote for $2800. I decided I would wait until I had money to fix it. Now, last week, at the end of August my truck wouldn't start. I took it to a shop and they said the siezed A/C unit was taking amps from the starter and the A/C needed to be fixed. The quote from Gold Standard expired so I had to get a new one. The shop again quoted it at $2800, and this time Gold Standard said they would cover $916. It is definitely not worth getting a warranty through Gold Standard. You are better off saving your money and putting it toward your vehicle if needed.

      The worst decision paying for this warranty the dealer i bought my car from a 2013 mazdaspeed 3 said this warranty covers POWERTRAIN. Literally a month and a half and the engine blew. i took it to a ***** dealership where they found the engine was blown submitted a quote to gold standard and the warranty company denied it because the cause of failure is not covered. The adjuster then proceeded to make every excuse in why the claim was denied and told me the only amount that would have been covered was $1200 dollars anyways. ***** quoted 10k for a new engine.These people are cheap obviously and wont put in the effort to help people.Dont waste your money and dont waste time trying to get anything from these people because most likely they will deny your claim if the price isnt what THEY want.its clear to see why they are at 3 stars and i hope this review makes more people see this company as a scam.

      Hello ***********************, Your claim was denied because the cause of failure was not covered. We are sorry you do not like the denial. We are bound by the terms and conditions of the contract you chose. Your contract was our 4-month or 4,000-mile contract (whichever comes first), and it has minimal coverage, with a maximum payable for the engine of $1200. This is all listed in your contract. Best of luck with future endeavors.

      I would give zero stars if it was an option. I went and bought an expensive extended warranty when I bought my used car good for 7 years ******* miles, I havent even put ****** miles on it since I bought the car in 2020. I bought the silver plan for 3500$ Very recently I had to have some a/c repair work done, the compressor clutch went out and my gold standard warranty company decided to refuse any coverage on this repair. In the pamphlet I received it clearly stated that the compressor clutch is one of the covered items. Every time I try to utilize my warranty they deny my claims, I feel like I was fleeced out of 3500$ to save a minimal amount on oil changes because they refuse to cover anything else. This seems very unethical to me and definitely false advertising. I wish I could go back 4 years and refuse this extended warranty offer, their promises are misleading at best and straight out false to be honest. I would highly recommended using any extended warranty company except the gold standard automotive network they have nefarious business practices and will do Olympic level gymnastics to avoid paying for repairs that they allegedly cover.

As we have previously advised, in a separate platform, you never had to contact us regarding denied claims as you have never had a claim denied. We are unsure where your statement of "Every time I try to utilize my warranty, they deny my claim" stems from, but you must be thinking of another company.Best wishes.

      Very easy to communicate and connect with. Explained process very well. ***** from claims was amazing. He helped me navigate through multiple issues with my wife's car. He walked me through everything, shared with me rationale as to how they work and what they could help me with. He even shared with me approaches to look out for to make sure the mechanic was truly taking care of me. ***** is very good at what he does and my family was fortunate to have him as our guy in claims and I do feel he would do anything he could to take care of us within the limits of our contract. Class act guy and made a tough experience for us as good as he could. Well done *****!

      Last August had steering gear box go out now 7000 miles later the same thing they won't stand behind it. They say the paid out once that's all you get WOW nice warranty

      Hello, **************. Unfortunately, your contract only covers components original to the vehicle, and we only cover a failed component once. Therefore, because we already covered the component and it is no longer original to the vehicle, we could not cover the failure the second time.

      If I could give zero stars to this company I would. I messaged them and have not heard anything back. We were told when we purchased this warranty that it would cover almost all reasonable repairs with the exception of some electrical things. That was a lie. They have barely covered anything for us and we have had to have several repairs done on our vehicle recently. Beyond frustrated with them. Do not waste your money on this.

      Hello *******, we have reviewed your complaint and found that we have approved 6 claims for over $2000. Unfortunately, not all of your failures fall within your coverage. You stated that you were told at the time of purchase that the contract would cover all reasonable repairs. However, Gold Standard was not there at the time of purchase, so you cannot speak to what the dealer said or didn't say; this is why you have a contract that outlines your coverage. Based on all of your claims submitted, we have met all contractual obligations and have covered everything that falls within your coverage.       Do not buy any service agreement with this scam company. They are very limited as to what they pay for, mostly things that do not break. I had coverage for over two years and finally called to see if they would cover a repair Of course that was not covered . Retired Marine Combat Veteran, do not ever purchase this scam!

We can say that our contracts clearly outline what is covered. Not all plans have equal coverage. We do have some limited plans and some plans that cover almost everything.
