Years ago, this same place did my mom and our dog so wrong. They convinced us that our dog needed surgery, claiming there was something inside her stomach making her sick. Two of their techs even claimed to be specialists. But after they cut her open, they found nothing. It took a month for her to heal, and since she was a big dog, it wasnt easy on heror on us. We still had to pay the $4,000 bill for their mistake, and they didnt even care. And now, years later, theyve done it againbut this time, its far worse.I didnt want my dad to take his dog there, but it was the only emergency vet open in *******. Instead of being honest, they saw an easy opportunity to take his money. It cost $185 just for them to see his dog, and before even treating him, they demanded a $1,200 down payment just for X-rays and blood work. They claimed my dads small dog had pneumonia and kept him for a day, charging an outrageous $5,500. When my dad got his dog back, he was even worse than ********* dad, exhausted and heartbroken, had no choice but to take him home because they drained him financially. On a fixed income and disability, he simply couldnt afford to bring his dog back when his condition got worse. And because of that, he had to watch his best friend die in his armsgasping for air, fluid coming from his nosedesperately trying CPR while crying and begging him to hold on.That little dog was everything to him. He was smart, lovable, and completely devoted to my dadfollowing him everywhere, waiting by the door when he was gone, even barking "I love you." Now, my dad is left alone, mourning his best friend, and stuck with a nearly $6,000 bill that h*** struggle to ******* can you claim to care about animals when all you see is money? How can you sleep at night knowing you take advantage of people in their most desperate moments? No compassion. No heart. Who gives pills to a dog that cant eat instead of prescribing a liquid? You should be ashamed.

We are saddened by the loss of your fathers cherished companion. Losing a beloved pet is incredibly difficult, and we understand how heartbreaking this experience has been for him and your family. If there is anything further we can do to support your father, we encourage him to reach out to us directly. Again, we extend our deepest sympathies to him during this difficult time.

We had the worst emergency experience at *********************, our Chihuahua was in pushing contractions for 3 hours with no puppy, mind you we did an X-ray prior showing we are expecting 5 puppies. Due to the lack of progress we saw in our poor dog, we decided to take her in at 2:30am to ensure our dog and her puppies weren't in any ***** way. The staff was dismissive, horrible beside manners, took our dog back came back telling us her puppy is breached and green chunks coming out of the Vets exam and wasn't sure if that puppy was even alive. The vet said she needed a cesarean. Of course we love our dog so we said okay, she said they would come back with an estimate. The nurse came back with an estimate of $6,000 and stated we must come with a deposit of $3,000. My husband relayed we didn't have that kind of money and the nurse said, "that's not my problem" and my husband asked if we could work out a more reasonable deposit and do a payment plan. The nurse said it wasn't her call and went back to ask the Vet. The *** said they could try giving her a medicine that would strengthen her contraction in less then 5 minutes two puppies came out alive mind you and they brought them out right away in a box and told us they were sending us home and we can have our dog have the rest at home. We live 30 minutes away. They bring our laboring dog out to our car with a third puppy she had after the initial two in the rain. Left us in the parking lot to figure out these newborns who can't hold body temperatures and a mom dog trying to deliver her last two pups. I would NEVER recommend this clinic to anyone for any animal. Their moto for this clinic is an absolute joke, they treated our dogs like dirt and as if because we couldn't afford their treatment offered that their lives didn't matter. SHAME ON YOU Central Animal Clinic, you price gauge us in the community by using our love for our furry family members , you don't deserve the right to serve our community and our pets.

We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved cat and understand how heartbreaking this must be for you. Losing a pet is never easy, and our hearts go out to you during this difficult time. We strive to provide the best care possible within the scope of our urgent care services. Our facility is equipped to diagnose and treat non-life-threatening conditions. The diagnostic testing made it clear that your cat required immediate care that only an emergency hospital or specialist could provide. As such, we recommended transferring to a facility that offers the necessary treatment and hospitalization. We understand how upsetting it is when an outcome is not what we hope for. Please know that we were dedicated to doing everything we could within the limits of our resources to help your cat. Once again, we extend our heartfelt sympathies to you and your family for the loss of your beloved companion.

My dog died within hours of being treated in **********************. They did xray, blood tests and said everything looked good and he can be treated with antibiotics. My dog died that very night. I wish I would have taken him somewhere else where he could get the proper professional help and care. Im not sure that they even performed any of the services they charged me for. Stay away from this place if you love your pets!

I sincerely wish I could give this "hospital" a minus one. After x-rays, our family vet said our cat, ******, had fluid around his lungs making it hard to breath. He sent us to the Access ************************* for an ultrasound and a thoracocentesis to remove the fluid. We took ****** in at 9am Monday morning and picked him up at 6pm that afternoon. ****** looked to be at death's door, much worse than when we brought him in. He had a wet, gurgling cough. His eyes were almost closed and he seemed barely conscious. His breathing was much more labored. The next morning we took him back to our family vet who did xrays and said there was no hope of recovery, which he had not said before our visit to Access. We had to put ****** down. How could a hospital discharge a patient in this condition ? How did a visit to Access degrade ******** condition so drastically? Take my advice and stay away from Access!

This place is a joke. Once i sent corporate the lies i received and the outrageous bill from the South Atlanta Veterinary Emergency vet they will no longer message me back. This is a money hungry vet and our pets deserve better. On August-******* my Cane Corse Remi was at this vet. I was told she needed a blood transfusion. After going over everything we paid for the transfusion and a few hours later I get a call that she also needs a plasma transfusion. So we went over everything and I was told with these transfusions and a 3 day treatment in 72 hours my dog would be ready to go home. Long story short I paid for both transfusions and my dog died within the first 16 hours of being there. My 3 day bill was $5,748.00 for everything and Remi didn't even make it 1 day after they told me with these transfusions she would be okay. Now they are trying to stick me with a $4,003.00 bill with only 16 hours of her being there but yet my full 3 day treatment plan was $5,748.00. ********** said he would work on my bill when I picked Remi up since she passed and has yet to do anything other than trying to justify on why in less then 1 day my bill is over $4000.00 after stating the blood transfusion was $800 and the plasma was $1,000. Thats ******** not $4,003.00. They are disloyal to their word. If you want an honest vet that's not going to doctor the bill up for their benefit I would consider going somewhere else.

Thrive plus has been extremely helpful. I had to bring in my old guy and it was going to cost a pretty ***** and the receptionist at the location told me about thrive plus. I had some issues enrolling and reached out to support but didnt hear back immediately but when I did they were extremely helpful I cant remember her name it was like **** or something and she apologized and gave me 2 months free membership for the inconvenience I was very happy with this resolution and with the care me and my dog received. Little hiccups along the way but resolved at every step.I also recommend having a live chat for people to reach out too for customers

My dog was brought in for multiple conditions - including respiratory distress. He was placed in a oxygen type chamber. I specifically requested to the ************* Medical Director and Vet, ***********************, that my dog had previously been at a different hospital in the area and the use of a "Hi-Flow" oxygen system (oxygen given with tubes in the nose) worked very well for my dog and I would like her to use the "Hi-Flow" system. She said the current Oxygen chamber system was sufficient and they were very similar. A day later, he was not doing any better with his oxygen intake (still in the oxygen chamber) and I was talking with different Vet and I mentioned to this Vet my interest in the use of the "Hi-Flow" oxygen system and this Vet told me that system is inoperable because they were sent European plugs which they can't use, and their "Hi-Flow" system has never been operable. I feel I was grossly mislead by the ************* Medical Dir, a tech, and the front desk...at no time did either of these 3 people tell me that their "Hi-Flow" oxygen system did not work, nor did it ever work. My dog did not improve with their oxygen chamber solution, and we had to utilize euthanasia for him. Very frustrated and angry with this clinic.

Front desk agent ******* is horribly RUDE and not welcoming at all. He was originally at the ******* location and is now at the ******* location. Still with the same nasty, and snobby attitude. Walked In and no one was at the desk. No greeting for a long time. I had to call the line for someone to come up front. Ultimately they wouldnt accept my pet because they say I was late. Although were pet plus members and long time client of over 3 years. However it was only a few minutes past scheduled appointment . ********************* practice manger was not helpful at all. Wouldnt recommend this location.

Warning. Check every line of your bills. After a recent semi-emergency visit, I was charged a total of almost $150 for two common prescriptions. After our visit I checked sites like Chewy, PetMeds and Tractor Supply. Those same meds cost a total of $27 dollars. Thats almost a regular retail 600% markup, much less what they actually pay for the meds. If you use one of these practices, get a prescription and order your meds from somewhere else. Nothing more than taking advantage of people trying to help their pets.
