      Technical difficulties (dropped calls as online systems not working), taking money from account even if not applied to policy, representatives who dont know what theyre doing. This company is a hot mess. If youre looking for insurance, just got to State Farm. They are the best.

      USAA was good when they were a credit union with MEMBERS. Now they are a bank with subjects and you really feel the difference. They no longer have the "how may I serve" perspective. It seems they just want to extract everything they can from subjects and if you do have an issue (as when my vehicle, with DV plates, in a Disabled Space, with me barely able to hobble and with one arm down from surgery, was vandalized recently while parked - ostensibly a hate crime under federal law), USAA not only do nothing to help - they bend over backwards to make things worse. When you ask if they could help they point to contracts of adhesion and other nonsense that basically says "we don't have to help you in any way". So rather than have someone in your corner in your hour of need, you literally have someone actively working against you. Disappointing. They have really gone downhill.

      32 Years as a "Member". My personal account was flagged as being used for business in error. When I did not read their online messages USAA closed my account. The worst of it was the response I received having been transferred to the "Office of the CEO". Rude and dismissive and cited that it was policy and nobody at any level could reinstate my account error or not. 32 Years of banking, investing, insurance and referring to family members. Not feeling like a "Member" at all. I know there will be a canned response here - "Sorry to hear about your experience, we do our best and will look into your concerns". Why not just look at your policies that are not member friendly and/or coach your teammates to find a better response other than "that is our policy". 32 Years - over half my life thinking I was a "Member".

      Actually, USAA deserves Zero stars! I have been a member of USAA for over 30 years and have become so dissatisfied with their customer service and exorbitant ********************** prices that I switched to another insurance company. Every time I try to talk to someone at USAA about my credit card or insurance, I was told I couldn't talk to anyone because I didn't know my phone password. That is even though I had my policy number and was calling from my home phone of record and could answer security questions. This is an abominable and unfair practice that the **** and DE State Insurance Commissioner will be made aware of.

      Advertised a 4.84% auto refi rate but they won't give you a real rate til you do the application. I did. Took a credit report hit, then the rate the offered is the same as I've got (5.99%) and the payment is $150 more per month!! How is that possible!? I've been a loyal customer for over 25 years and they won't give me a better rate? I call them up & they don't try at all to help, all they do is defend their website & recite stupidity about my credit profile. I've got a 830 credit score and make nearly $200k/year and they wouldn't budge on their rate. I am seriously dissatisfied & disappointed. Time to move everything to Navy Fed or Pen Fed!! USAA ***** now & doesn't care about actually helping military members.

      About to switch insurance. You call in and have to fight to get past the automated systems that doesnt understand what you need. Then you finally get someone on the phone that doesnt know what you're talking about. I told her I need a copy of my declaration to send to my bank and she goes yeah we dont do that. ????? Like what the do you mean you dont do that. You're MY AUTO INSURANCE??? She then goes can you like bring your insurance cards to them? I was literally shocked after that question. I then asked can you please transfer me to someone that know what Im talking about and shes yes hold on and hung up.

      We have been with USAA for 9 years, as soon as we heard about them, just recently our granddaughter hit a curve and tore up a tire and a few other damages underneath the car I called and it took over a week before I could get any service also when I kept calling in I got rude customer service and the appraiser was ***** too seems to enjoy telling me our parts had to come from auto zone USAA is very expensive but always took care of their customers quickly and very nicely I am here to tell you NOT ANYMORE!! They are high as the sky and rude as ever. I do not care for this company any more with all their rudeness and expensive rates I do not want to accept if you a member get out start looking for another company if you are looking for a company go look else where, not USAA.

      If I could rate -5 stars I most definitely would. USAA claims to be there for military and everything but treat us like c*** My vehicle has been insured through them for 2 years and I pay for full coverage. My vehicle was taken off the side of the highway and vandalized then taken to a different city where they abandoned it. I filed a police report on 3/11/25 and an auto theft claim with USAA the same day. It is now 7/20/25 and they are now telling me that they are not giving me a total loss settlement or getting my car fixed. They have been giving me the run around sending me papers for title procurement and total loss settlements but telling me I have 10 days to pick up my vandalized vehicle. USAA had everything they needed from me I gave them the police report number and gave multiple statements. So at this point its just shows that they are full of it. I would not recommend getting auto insurance through USAA ! Or anything for that matter they dont care about military.
