Mailed a check to pay off a loan (June 27th). After not seeing the payoff posted, I called. They inform me that it takes them 7-10 business days to receive the check (soonest 7/11) and then another 5 business days to post the check (7/21). Meaning that almost a month after a payoff check was mailed, they post it to the account. In the meantime, they are charging me daily interest on something that they probably received within 3-5 business days after it was mailed! Worst company ever. I don't know how they think that is legal! Receive payment but hold it for weeks. Will see how long this takes.

I found out my account was restricted because my monthly payments did not go through. This is the only bank account , all my funds go directly to this bank. Now, Im being told my account is frozen and I cannot touch any funds. I have called multiple times to just closed my account so I can get my funds transferred to another bank account but they said I will be receiving a check in the mail in 60 with everything I have in there. So for the mean time I am left without any money to make any of my payments. I only have $20 in cash, like I said all my funds go to the bank!!!! What do they expect me to do? Tell my payments to hold on for 60 days? The best option a representative had was, you may want to take out a loan and change your direct deposit. Anyone on here with advice?

I have been depositing checks without the endorsement for 4 years. I have a check that needs to be deposited and they put on hold for a week. Now my account is going to be overdrawn. USAA is not for military members any more. I am convinced they hate service members and love money. Car insurance isnt worth it anymore and customer service is some of the worst in the industry. I have been with them for 15 years. This is a sad review to write.

We have home owners as well as auto insurance through USAA. We've been with them for 16 yrs. We are paying $4,100 every 6 months for 3 vehicles with no explanation or reason. This is insane. We are def shopping for a better rate. This is robbing from service members. Stay clear of this now privatized company.

Ive been a USAA member for 35 years. And I will be leaving because its cheap insurance and like most cheap things they dont work when you need them to. They gave me a valuation on my car six thousand dollars below book, coerced me into accepting their offer by threatening not to pay storage fees. They arent worth it. Theres a reason theyve been investigated and fined.

Terrible company to deal with. My uncle, a Navy Veteran, passed away in January of this year and had an auto loan and auto insurance with USAA. As the executor of his estate I have had to endure multiple calls, being transferred, placed on hold and subjected to various verifications to prove my identity. Upon paying off the vehicle through the estate and personal account I am now told that I have to wait an additional 14 business days to request the vehicle title. That means yet another call navigating the USAA gauntlet. Shouldnt the title be released automatically??? To make matters worse USAA has my uncle date of death off by a year! They have the death certificate and have acknowledged the error but tell me I need to correct the error! If you can avoid USAA please do for your heirs sake.

I started my claim in April it is now July 1 and I am still having problems with USAA, I am a veteran and this Business should not be advertising that that serve vets, that is a flat out lie in fact that are scamming vets, that is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with and will tell everyone I know to stay away especially my fellow veterans.they took a rental car away from me a week after I had it and then strung me along in the claim process then told me my car was totaled and I still need to pay ***** dollars to close out my claim even though I had full coverage, bottom line do yourself a favor go with anyone but them trust me they will s**** you over the 1st chance they get, wish I could have given them a -5 is what they deserve.

I recently changed my phone number due to excessive spam and suspicious activity on some accounts. When I attempted to log in to ************************** to view my account details, I was unable to proceed because a verification code was being sent to my old number. I called customer service and was informed that I could not access my account without responding to that same textsent to the compromised number I had already replaced. I was then asked to submit photos of my ID to regain access, which is especially concerning given that I changed my contact information due to potential account compromise. The very systems put in place to 'improve security' end up preventing legitimate customers from accessing their own accounts.

This company is awful. The value that they assigned to my car, which their customer totalled, was reasonable, and then they deducted almost $2000 from that for "mileage" (my car had a totally normal amount of mileage for its age) and "existing damage". They refuse to negotiate or show any documentation that shows how they decided on those deductions, just saying "it's not an exact science".They also had Copart pick up my car without authorization, from the garage where it had been towed. I had specifically told USAA that it was NOT authorized until we agreed on an amount, and they took it anyway. Then they blame the garage for "not telling them" that it wasn't authorized - but the garage says they DID tell them and they took it anyway. I'm inclined to believe the garage.Their whole attitude is basically, we do what we want, we don't care about you, you take the amount of money we offer and that's it. Unless you take them to court (which of course most of us can't afford to do), you don't seem to have any recourse.I hate them and I wish I had never had to deal with them.
