    Worst customer service experience. I called because I had questions about my first bill and the kWh charge. Its a little confusing when they say theyll charge one rate but the avg rate is something else. The customer service rep was really hard for me to understand. Normally thats okay but not with this subject where its requires a more detailed explanation. I asked if there was someone else I could speak with because I was having a hard time understanding with his very heavy accent. The guy was so insulted and said his English was excellent. How dare I ask for someone else. At least I think thats what he said. He told me he would hang up on because I was disrespectful to ask for someone else. Actually I didnt understand what he said and I asked him to please say it again and thats what he repeated and then hung up on me. Great.

    First month, $140 dollars. 5 people in the house. Heat and lights on, showers on all month.Second month, $450 dollars. 1 person in the house, low A/C use, very energy conscious.Third month, $540 dollars. 1 person in the house. Even better at being energy conscious, low A/C use. Absolutely outrageous and upset. Paying 1/3 of my mortgage costs in energy is unheard of especially when we are barely using lights, barely using anything, and never home. We pay separate for water and garbage so this is not right. Not paying $500 a month for faulty meters and up charging.

    Worst customer service ever. Talked over 30 minutes just to cancel electricity because I moved out of my apt. They will not let me cancel without documentation of death. Please, please someone needs to cancel this company. NO HELP WITH ANYTHING.

    DONT GO WITH THEM! Gave 5 stars just so this message doesn't get filtered out! It was time to renew with them and gave me the worst rates posible. (thats not the problem) they kept the whole credit from what I created from my solar!!!! Rep said "You didn't use it and since you canceled you lost it" WOW!!! Now you have been warned. So its really NOT the best company. they couldn't have told me this before I canceled? So you produced the energy, they give you a credit, when it's time to renew they give you a crap Rate, you cancel, and they keep your money (credit). now you do get the credit if you have over paid (thats it)!

    Their customer service is slow and sometimes unintelligible. They are violating Texas laws regarding past due payment grace periods for the elderly. They kept my $140 deposit despite my following their requirements to the letter. I have cut my energy bill 50% by dropping Gexa and going to a plan found for me by ****** ****.

    I decided to cancel with GEXA because their are advertised rates are deceptive and after getting a $400 bill in a small place that I live in I started digging deeper. After looking thoroughly through their rate sheet I realized that unlike other companies, their advertised rate does not include the TDU delivery charges for electricity, and therefore you end up paying way more than the advertise rate, even with their so called credit that they give you every month. To have a $400 bill in a 1100 square-foot home with a new HVAC is insane, never again!

    ABSOLUTE WORST customer SERVICE. They are liars and went out of their way to disconnect my new service. They have caused me sooooooo much problems with trying to get service.

    Deceptive practices on a plan that clearly states a price per Kilowatt hour. After an hour on the phone with multiple employees I understood that the price per KWH is DOUBLE what I thought it was if I don't hit exactly a specific number each billing period. Terrible greed that knows no bounds. Lost another customer permanently, and hopefully anyone that reads all of these 1 star reviews will quickly understand to stay away from this company.

    The prices listed online attracted me, but when I switched to this power company, my electric bill doubled in the first month, and I think that may be why I haven't had a chance to get the points yet. By the second month, the electricity bill had increased significantly. I had to call the customer service of this electric company and ask for a change of plan. The customer service was very nice and said they would call me back when the verification was clear. I never received this so-called phone call. I even answered every call, including countless spam calls. In the end, I decided to switch to another power company immediately before the two-year contract ended, and I paid a $295 cancellation fee. I didn't want to be troublesome, I hope this matter is over. However, thinking that there are other customers who may have my experience, after more than two months, I still made up my mind to take the time to share my experience, hoping that people who are considering this power company will deal with it carefully.
