To All Those Considering Purchasing a HistoryMaker Home,I hope you take this message as a word of caution and, perhaps, even as divine intervention. My family and I purchased a HistoryMaker home and moved in on December 12, 2024. Since then, we have encountered a series of ongoing issues that continue to arise. From warped doors to leaking windows and dented woodwork, the list seems to grow. While the warranty repair response has generally been prompt, its often been clear that the repair crews lack the knowledge and expertise needed to resolve these problems effectively. For example, when we had issues with our back French doors, the repair attempt was nothing short of disappointing. The doors had clearly been damaged during construction, likely kicked in, and instead of replacing them as most reputable builders would, HistoryMaker attempted to patch the doors with nails and filler. The crooked door was visible from across the room. When we pointed out the issue, HistoryMaker tried to conceal the damage and did not disclose it in the closing paperwork.Despite multiple repair attempts, the situation remained unchanged. The most recent attempt only made things worse. The door jambs and studs were torn out, replaced, and the door still looked and functions poorly, now with the added issue of a leaking bottom seal.Additionally, when it comes to basic finish carpentry, HistoryMaker appears to cut corners. Standard practice for securing the striker plate on a door should involve using small, short screws. However, they used four-inch construction screws, which is far from the norm. where I come from. I've noticed similar issues, with workers ******* through jobs and cutting corners, likely due to pressure from the company. If, after reading this, you still choose to purchase a HistoryMaker home, I urge you to proceed with extreme caution. Buyer beware.

I bought a new build home from HISTORY MAKER, expecting the quality and craftsmanship that should come with a brand-new house. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing due to multiple construction issues.1.Crooked Drywall Many of the drywall posts are not straight, making the walls look uneven.2.Dangerous Stair Carpet Installation There were sharp nails sticking out of the carpeted stairs, and my child actually got injured stepping on them. This is completely unacceptable.3.Careless Cabinet Installation The cabinet team left large holes at the top of the wall, likely from using a hammer to find studs. If you have the same builder, check your cabinetsyou might have similar damage.4.Scratched Bathroom Floor The bathroom floor was installed so carelessly that it had noticeable scratches from day one.5.Disastrous Sod Installation Beyond Frustrating! This has been one of the most disappointing parts of my home purchase. I bought a house with a large yard, hoping to enjoy it with my kids after a long workday. Instead, the sod installers completely botched the job. They didnt bother to remove the weeds before laying the new grass, and now my entire backyard is overrun with weeds growing up through the sod. Instead of a nice lawn where I can relax, I have a mess that will take a lot of time, effort, and money to fix. Its beyond frustrating! To make things worse, the builder did come for an inspection, but they only fixed the most basic, visible issues. The bigger problems were either ignored or promised to be fixed, but they never showed up to do the work. For the price of a new home, I expected much better workmanship and accountability. If you are considering this builder, I highly recommend thoroughly inspecting every detail before closingor better yet, choosing a different builder altogether.

I want to share my experience with HistoryMaker Homes to inform others considering working with this company. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing due to serious plumbing issues and poor customer service.A plumbing failure in my home, which occurred on February 29, 2024, caused significant water damage to my property. Despite repeated attempts to get the issue resolved, both HistoryMaker Homes and their contractors were unresponsive and failed to take timely action. This led to further damage, and I was forced to hire a third-party remediation company to address the situation.I made multiple maintenance requests and reached out via phone and text to both the plumbing contractor and the maintenance manager. Sadly, these attempts to seek resolution were mostly ignored. When I finally received a response from HistoryMaker Homes, they offered to repair only a portion of the damage, excluding critical work that was needed to prevent further **************** the end, I had to cover the cost of remediation myself, totaling $1,488.31 for services performed by 24 Hour Flood Pros of *******. Additionally, I paid $5,857 to ALL *****, a home service and remodeling company, to repair and restore my home. This entire experience has been financially and emotionally draining, especially considering the additional water usage costs caused by the unresolved plumbing issue.Based on my experience, I would urge anyone considering HistoryMaker Homes to carefully assess their commitment to addressing problems and providing adequate customer support after the sale. While they may build appealing homes, their lack of responsibility in resolving critical issues has been a major concern for me.

I agree with all of the complaints. History Maker doesnt care about the homes that are being built. The warranty on the home is not guaranteed and the inspectors that supposed to inspect the home is not doing there job correctly. I am yet finding flaws with my home and have been calling just to be told that my home is out of warranty. Cabinets placed incorrectly, its just a shame for homebuyers to pay so much for homes and still have to pay out of pocket to correct the builder negligence. To all new buyers if you are reading this, pay close attention to how your home is built, have your own inspector inspect before closing. If not, you will be posting the same complaints as the rest of the home buyers.

I had my home built over a year ago and as of today I am still finding cosmetic defects. I have to remove all the grout in 3 bathrooms so it will look nice. These are areas which were suppose to taken care of with my warranty request, however the crew they sent fixed some things but left many things undone. All of the baseboards arent lined up correctly so they filled it up with caulking. Im trying to figure out how to replace my tub faucet cause it is loose and cannot turn to tighten cause it hits the back tile so I might just have to caulk it. I can write a book and all the things that was and still is wrong with this home. Attention to detail is key when youre paying so much for these homes.

My wife and I moved into our brand new house just under 3 years ago. Upon initial inspection everything looked great but after living here for a time the warts began to show. This is supposed to be an energy efficient house but our bills are still high and the front and back doors have visible light coming through. They came out to try to fix it but it didn't help. The windows they install are the cheapest windows and you can hear everything outside. The windows are also not effective at keeping out the hot and cold temperatures. We have visible nails that have fallen out of the ceiling as well. There is also uneven molding bad baseboards throughout the house. The latest issue that prompted this review is our AC/heating system going out after less than 3 years of living here. I would not recommend this builder to anyone looking to buy a new house. The craftsmanship is shoddy and the customer service is lacking. The latest issue is with the construction of the new houses around us. For some reason they waited to build out the whole neighborhood before starting on the 6 houses around the model home. The workers play loud music from 7 AM to 7PM and sometimes later. When the builder was contacted about this he was argumentative and claimed he didn't have workers onsite. Even after sending him multiple recordings of how loud the music was he would not address the problem. Maybe if the workers spent less time having a party and hammering to the beat of their music and paid more attention to their craft we wouldn't have such a poorly built home.

We had our home built in 2021 in ****** Lakes *********, **. I want to really say that as a first time home buyer this should have been a delightful experience however it has been anything but that. From the start they really made the experince seem so exciting. Being active duty overseas we started this process while we were still stationed in *****. We picked out everything during a virtual telephone call. As soon as we moved back to ** we noticed issues right away. My wife would go by the house every day to inspect and look at things to make sure things were going well. Alot of times she would find trash and debris left everywhere and to this day we sometimes wonder if it was cleaned up before they put up the walls. The biggest issue I have with history maker is when I found out recently that our HVAC unit panaling is actually not the correct size and corners were cut to install the Hvac unit which some how passed inpection even though it has found to actually decreasse our air flow and now because of the lazy half job they did, it caused the lower panal to blow out and blow continious air into our attic and caused water leakage which leaked into the wall and caused swelling on our rear door which now gets stuck because the wood is wet. When I presented all this with photos and evidence of the inspection done by an outside company to History Maker and also the sub contractor Deep Blue, they both blamed us and unchanged air filters which arent even in the attic or the ***** I am deeply disappointed in this company because as long as the house was under warranty they were our friend. As soon as they realized the warranty was us it was like we were the enemies and they refused to lift a finger to assist but shifted blame and now we have to spend more than $``1400 just on the Hvac to make it correct not counting the repairs on the door and wet wall which if done right to begin with, we would be facing this issues. Please do research and inspect everything.

History Maker Home - Heartland! Home purchased on November 2020 I am only giving three stars due to the staff being great and the home is spacious but the warranty process and properly correcting the issues is worthless (zero stars) and correcting the issue(s) is not a process I trust. I love my home but the quality is very questionable. I have filed several requests to correct my floors upstairs. They squeak and pop even after several attempts to correct it. If you are going to correct something, do it right. If you need to redo the entire upstairs to get the issue corrected, then do that. The master bathroom floors were redone and they still pop and crackle when you walk on them. They are very noisy when you walk on them. Its terrible! I have also filed warranty requests regarding the uneven heating and cooling upstairs . It is also hard to change the filter due to the door placement of the unit upstairs. I have also filed several warranty issues regarding the outdoor air coming into my microwave and along that wall. My microwave is cold during cold days and hot during hot days. I have never seen or heard of anything like this. Its discussing because you can smell the outdoors in my microwave. My garage door PSIs was corrected but the buckle in the garage panels that was caused during the testing has yet to be corrected. My foundation needed some corrections done that were found during my inspection. The patch work is coming off. My walls squeak when its windy outside. There was several attempts to correct the bricks outside but the still squeak in the wind. Some windows are still hard to close and lock. The attempt to correct that is also an epic fail for some. I am now hearing a sizzle in some of the light switches. Scary I dont know what else to do and this is unacceptable.

History Maker Home is so disappointing and there is something that needs to be done about their service. I bought my home in September of 2021, my AC went out in the first month because they never changed the filter, I had a plumbing problem and the service guy cut a whole in my laundry room wall and that wasn't even where the issue was, then my master closet floor was drilled and upon replacing it because this is where the plumbing issue was, they put down less than adequate padding as if I wouldn't notice, so I had to wait for it to be re-done and a year later, I'm still dealing with ************** which is the service guy for and he is closing out my service request when they aren't even complete. That's why I put then in before my warranty was up. I send messages and he ignores them now, but something he must understand is that I do not give up when it is wrong on all accounts. This company and their service is absolutely despicable.
