After reviewing our records thoroughly, we would like to offer the following response:
      Client History and Communication Attempts
Our firm last heard from **** D ***** in April 2024. Since that time, we have made over 21 documented attempts to contact her via email, phone calls, and text messages regarding the status of her case (Through 09/2024) and the next steps needed to proceed with her bankruptcy filing. Unfortunately, we did not receive any response or engagement from her despite our repeated outreach.
      Firm Communication Policies
We maintain detailed logs of all client communications and can confirm that:
There have been no emails received,
      No voicemails left, and

I paid this Attorney group $1840 to represent me in a chapter seven bankruptcy. After 16 months of absolutely no communication, no representation and no support, my case was dismissed for many reasons, but mostly due to lack of attorney communication with the court and myself. Now i am out $1840 and have to re-file with another attorney.

I paid this company $1800.00 to complete a chapter 7 bankruptcy on my behalf. However, like so many others here, I've been scammed. I have sent them back all of the required paperwork at least 3 times. The first time I scanned it and mailed it back to them.via email. Then I copied everything and physically mailed it to them. Last week, I mailed a complete set of all of my financial transactions, income info, tax returns, and signature pages... Exactly what they've asked me to send them again. I thought that I had sent them everything they needed. I even went so far as to send them Express mail so that the package was signed for by an employee ("*. *********") at the ******** Indiana office. Enclosed you will find a a copy of the receipt. Despite having sent all this stuff repeatedly, they keep sending me emails telling **** need to send the same paperwork again They have now delayed my case another month and they know I already have received a judgment against me by one of my creditors ************ is not doing their job. They're scamming people and I Want my money back or completion of this bankruptcy As I received another email yesterday, telling me I need to send all this paperwork to them again. This is just a stall tactic and after seeing the list of people having the same complaints as me, I think I would like to recoup my money and go somewhere else or have them finish the job ASAP. I'm a senior citizen on a fixed inco**** can't afford to lose eighteen hundred dollars like this.

      Hi ****,
I have notified your attorney and legal team again to let the team know and you are scheduled for your prep with the team to get filed and reviewed but we MUST have the required court documents.  We strive to provide a 5 star experience to every client here and are always open Monday - Friday from 9 AM - 9 PM Eastern every week.
Thank you for continuing to follow up and we are again sorry and saddened by your experience, however, again as we stated previously this is a requirement and the process of the bankruptcy courts and legal system.  All clients MUST submit the proper and adequate documentation in the manner and fashion that is required from the *********************'s office and bankruptcy courts.  These are not the "firm's requirements" but rather the requirements of everyone and anyone trying to file bankruptcy in ******************
We do help 10's of thousands of consumers and people across the ************* per year and push extremely hard for our staff and firm to provide an amazing experience and what we think is the best legal representation possible to clients, however, we understand that it is a process and does require some work on your end as well in terms of providing the proper and necessary documents and speaking with our staff and attorneys.
Every client must go through the petition and schedules of their case with a licensed attorney prior to filing and must also be accountable and comply with the request and compliance of being truthful and honest about the information provided.  We are at the end of your case and the final step before filing once you get the final documentation requested in and speak with your filing attorney for the final review of the case as requested.
In terms of the documents the courts are very particular and we cannot use or accept "poor quality documentation" (meaning illegible or unreadable) and we cannot accept screenshots either.  However, our documents team IS here to assist in any way we can and available Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM Eastern.  The best and fastest way to get your case moved forward is to UPLOAD your documents to the client portal.

I contacted this firm with bankruptcy in mind. I spoke to a ***** pakawki attorney who advised me that a chapter 13 bankruptcy would be my best course of action. He specifically said not to pay on any more or my debt except the mortgage and that as long as I paid the retainer fee within 6 weeks or so I would get filled and not have anything repossessed. I paid within that time frame. Also he stated I would not be required to pay back any of my unsecured debt only the secured debt and that my payment plan to the trustee would be between ********* a month. So after I paid the fees I sent in all required documentation within two more weeks. I called every week or two to ask about the status of case and ask about repossession of items as I wasnt paying on them. Well fast foward about 2/3 months and gm shows up and repos my truck. Well at this time Im finally able to get an attorney assigned. **** ***** is his name He informs me that who ever I spoke to before had flat out lied ns that it didnt surprise him as he was new To the company and had multiple clients of this firm be lied to also. Well now it turns out I have to also pay the unsecured debt and my payments is gonna be over 3000 to the trustee and I cant afford it and now Im gonna lose everything I have because of being lied To and having been mislead by this firm. Im assuming Im not the first or only complaint you have received on this company. I understand that you can not remedy my situation unless you have power over bankruptcy court. But I plea and beg you to investegate this and to please stop them from fraud and lying to others. There is alot to this and. Its hard to type it all out. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions you may have. Thanks for your time in this matter.

      Hi ********,

This is a very long process and throughout the entire process you and the legal team and staff have covered and discussed the Chapter 13 plan, the costs, fees set by the courts and the chapter 13 trustees office and reviewed all of the paperwork with you multiple times prior to filing.  This is how every chapter 13 plan works and it is communicated that you will need to pay back a portion of the debts and the mortgage.  All of our licensed attorneys and staff cover the entire process throughout and attend and discuss this at the time of filing, during and leading up to the hearing and throughout confirmation process with your Chapter 13 trustee.
These plans are extremely labor and time intensive as outlined in the retainer and during the process to get to filing with the courts and to the point you are currently at with the case.   You specifically have to agree that you can make payments and confirm the plans with the chapter 13 trustees office throughout the bankruptcy preceding's.   Your bankruptcy attorney has and continues to discuss the case with you.  We have spoken with the legal team and your attorneys in regards to your case.  You are advised and walked through the process in it's entirety.  We specifically tell you (and other clients) to make sure you can afford the plan if you want to file a chapter 13 and also discuss selling the property and / or other assets (which I will not go too far into detail as we are actively filed and working in the courts) and resolving your debts as an option during the consultation and throughout the legal process and filing of your bankruptcy.  You further went through and approved every section with your attorney prior to filing.

Please continue to work with the legal team and attorney for your case. If you have questions we are here to assist and discuss.

We are here to help you achieve financial freedom and success through the bankruptcy court code and system and protect your federal rights!

On April 29, 2023, I entered into an agreement with The Recovery Law Group to help me file for bankruptcy. After completing all of the necessary documents, and paying my fees in full, I have not spoken to anyone. The last communication i had was with ####. She was my contact about correspondence I received from creditors after they were sent letters to stop calling or sending letters. I sent her an email on January 13 3025, because I could not reach anyone else in the company. Every call that I have made, I was put on hold, then a recording came on saying they could not answer my call and to leave a message. I tried my attorney. ####'s "private" line. After a while, someone answers real quickly saying something and then immediately puts me in hold. After I stay on the line they come back on and mumble something and I ask to speak to ####. I am put on hold again, then a recording, who supposedly is #### gives me another number. I call that number and it just rings and then disconnects. I went on line looking to see if others have had issues with them. There were so many complaints I could not believe it! I have no where to turn. One company has hired a law firm to sue me for not paying them. I told them I was under bankruptcy proceedings. They asked for a case number. I looked through all of my documents and could not find one. I called and called, but no response. Even ### did not respond to my email. I'm lost. I have no money, (hence the bankruptcy) paid them for their services, and I have not gotten any responses. They got a settlement from ####Bank, and they said it was going toward my future fees, so I guess they stole that too! I cannot afford to hire yet another lawyer, I don't trust anyone anymore. What can I do?

He said that my case was sent to one of their lawyers who can work with people from ************** because they have different requirements than where they were.  He also told me that I needed to send this lawyer the money that they sent me so he can represent me.  The money I paid them was for fees associated with lawyers, litigation, and filing fees.  They had to know that they could not represent me because of the state that I live in, yet, they still took my money and procrastinated over 2 years before directing me to another person in their group only after I sent in a complaint to you.

I do not have attachments other than a check that was mailed to me, where the lawyer from the Recovery Group told me was due to me.  He also said that there was another amount (which he supposedly could not tell me the amount) that was also due to me, but, had not been recovered from one of the companies for violating the not to contact me notice.  Of course,  this was all said over the phone, so there is no proof or documentation.  I want to end this "relationship" with this unscrupulous group of people. I also want all of the money that is due to me.  I spoke to an assistant from this lawyer's office who said he would call me and go over the details. That was on January 20, 2025. I asked the woman if there was a number I could recognize when he called because I do not answer numbers I do not know.  She said that if I did not answer,  he would leave a message. She did not know when he would call.  Well, it's January 27, 2025 and I have not heard anything yet.  It's bad enough that I had to file for bankruptcy, but to be put through this from people who were supposed to help me is inexcusable.  I am going to have to get a lawyer to deal with the unscrupulous lawyer group and help me file for bankruptcy again.  This is shameful and a dirty racket that I can't for the life of me understand how they can continue to operate like this.  I need for it to end.

I am rejecting this response because:   The explanation regarding you apparently not knowing that because of where you are operating business from, you could not go forward with my case and had me sent to another lawyer who could.  A company such as yours already knew that you could not help me, yet you still took my money and procrastinated over 2 years before sending me to another person.  And, you only did that because I filed a complaint.

With this last response from The Recovery Group, am I to assume that if I accept their response, then they would consider this a closed matter?  If so, it would mean that they would not be responsible to send me the funds from the other company?

If it does, then I guess I have to cut my losses if only for the sake of me not having to deal with them anymore.
