      This complaint is for TicketSales.com. On September 12, 2024, My daughter and I went online to purchase tickets at the ************** in ******** to see the musical Lion King. Thinking we were ordering tickets on the theater's website, we ordered two tickets for $224 each. Before my daughter realized it, the order went through for a total of $$645.34. Never was there any indication that there were fees which would result in almost $200 more than the purchase price. I immediately contacted TicketSales.com to cancel the purchase using the "Contact Us" button and it did not work. I then called the customer service number and explained what just had happened. Since the show is not until January I didn't think there would be a problem. I was told that there are no refunds and all sales are final. I explained once again that we were not aware of all the fees and we did not see a final price until my husband received a possible fraud notice on his phone for our card. I was told I could try to resell the tickets but I would not be receiving them until one (1) day prior to the show. In my opinion this business practice is unacceptable. After reading the other complaints, clearly this is unethical business practices and theft. I would like my purchase cancelled/refunded immediatey. Thank you

      On August 2, 2024, I tried to purchase 3 tickets for the musical Scrooge for December 14, 2024, from the ******************** located in **********, *******. Per the website of the ********************, the cost should have been $25 per ticket for the main floor and $50 for the loge, with a small service.I went to a website that I thought was the ********************. Since the ticket price indicated $25, I chose 3 tickets from the drop-down menu. I was told to click "Next" and the amount came up as $84 dollars, which I assumed was the total cost of the tickets and a reasonable service fee. I thus filled in my credit card information.I was told to click Next. The next screen charged me $ ******. It said that all sales were final and did not provide a breakdown of the charges.I immediately tried to call the at ************** but could not reach anyone. I then called ******** to dispute the charge. ******** investigated it and said that I had not proven that I was charged the wrong amount.I was finally able to contact TicketSales.com and they gave me a breakdown of the charges as follows:Price per Ticket - $ ***** Total Price for 3 $252.00 Delivery Charge$ 6.95 Service Charge$ ***** TOTAL CHARGE $****** I had sent them an email on August 2, 2024, requesting a cancellation but received no response. When I last talked to them on August 19th, I requested a refund, but they refused. The total amount was of the sale was not revealed to me until after the purchase. The site did not indicate that they were a third-party seller and that all sales were final until after the purchase.The total reasonable price for the 3 tickets and a reasonable service charge which the Memorial Opera charges would be approximately $84. Thus, I request a refund of the difference or approximately $256.

      On September 27, 2024, TicketSales.com offered me a full refund of $340.85 in 3 to 5 business days.

      I accepted their offer.

      However, I am concerned that TicketSales.com will continue their deceptive practices. Numerous complaints have been made to the BBB about them.

      On 9/11/24 I thought I was dealing with The Lensic to get tickets; I was offered 2 seats at $88 each but when I reviewed the transaction, I was actually charged $240.15. I tried to call customer service at ********************** and never got to a person. I called The Lensic box office and was told that they hear about this business scamming customers frequently, and that the seats I had been sold (Balcony Left Row K) were still available (at a price of $45), revealing that this is a scam; I was advised to call my ******* and contest the charges. My husband reported the problem to the credit card company and we were told to keep calling; that they could do nothing until the charges were actually collected (we will do this).

      On Sept 10th I placed an order for a ticket to an event. (Order #********)Within 15 mins I realized it was not the correct event and the event I was seeking to get tickets for wasnt even on sale yet. I needed to cancel and attempted to do so prior to the ticket confirmation-which per their only terms is their policy-but I was automatically rejected. At no point did I receive notification that the transaction was final. Additionally, this company does not present itself as a 3rd, price gouging scalper. It was selling tickets that werent even available yet. It is effectively a scam.

      Our 53rd anniversary is the first week in October and my wife wanted to see *********************** at ********************* in *******, ** so last night (Sep 5) I googled ************* Tickets and, unbeknownst to me I was directed to the ticketsales.com site instead of the official "*************" site. (They obviously pay ****** to be first on the list). It asked how many tickets I wanted, and I said two, so the prices they quoted appeared to be for two tickets. Even for two tickets, the price seemed exorbitant, but because it was our anniversary and the site stated there were only 10 tickets left, I went ahead and entered my credit card. There wasnt a summary page stating the total amount I would be charged until after I entered my credit card then I was shocked to find that I had been charged twice the price I thought I was being charged. Apparently, the price which I considered exorbitant for two tickets was only for one ticket. I then found the official ************* website and learned that they listed the same tickets for $64 each I'm now being charged a total of $764.85 for two tickets which is SIX TIMES THE OFFICIAL TICKET PRICE!!!! -- and there are over ***** seats available for the date we are going, not 10 as they claimed. Immediately this morning (Sep 6) I called and tried to cancel the sale, but was only given computer generated responses stating that they dont cancel and dont give refunds. Now Im being charged $764.85 for two $64 tickets!! They LIE, CHEAT, and STEAL. Since this was just last night, they have not sent me tickets and the event is nearly a month away, so there is no reason they shouldnt cancel my purchase except for GREED! I will try to challenge the charge on my credit card, but Im not holding out much hope.

      I purchased 2 tickets on the site for $88 each, and then saw that I was charged a total of $240.70. There was no notice of the additional fees in the purchase screens on my phone. I called them and asked to cancel and get a refund but they refused.

      Called to cancell do to covid and wanted to reschedule or credit for another date..they said no way to do other I was stuck with the tickets, then I realized my ticket that I bought was for quality of 2, but when printed it said for quantity 8, they couldn't explain the difference in price I was charged and refused to help at all. They just wanted us to go to the show with covid....

      I purchased third party tickets unknowingly through ticketsales.com. After receiving the e-tickets in an email link they had someone else's name on them and said right on the ticket no third party sales or resale, so I called the actual event venue to validate and confirm that they were legit, and I wasn't being scammed and the said they were valid tickets, so I thought everything was fine just pricey. Not only was I overcharged, and deceived the night of the event, I was told my tickets were cancelled because they were part of a group of tickets that had been resold multiple times. I called the number for customer support, and they said they would email me to fill out a form that must be returned within 3 days. Well it's day three, I cannot get a straight response from them if the timeframe is from the night of the event or when I receive the form. I know they are aware of the situation because the event **** told me others earlier had the same tickets and same issue. They offer a 100% guarantee, but it doesn't seem that way. I will update with conclusion and outcome.
