    On September 27, 2022, BBB serving North Central Texas identified a pattern of complaints regarding the behavior of this company, Ticketsales.com. Specifically, BBB has received complaints alleging that Ticketsales.com:

     

    **does not always make it aware to consumers they are purchasing from Ticketsales.com;
    **misleads total amount of charges/fees, ticket acquisition, and refund policy until after purchase;
    **ignored requests for assistance with never receiving tickets purchased;
    **ignored requests or no useful assistance from customer service.

     

    On September 27, 2022, BBB attempted to contact Ticketsales.com regarding these consumer complaints. In addition, BBB requested documentation of Ticketsales.com registration and location of operations in the state of Texas as advertised on the Ticketsales.com website.

    On November 11, 2022, Ticketsales.com responded to BBB correspondence regarding this pattern of complaints.

    As of April 25, 2023, BBB is monitoring Ticketsales.com complaints to ascertain if Ticketsaes.com efforts eliminate the pattern of complaints.

      I wanted to purchase concert tickets to a show at ************* in *******, **. I was redirected to their site to purchase tickets. Upon completion of the purchase the ticket price was inflated to 2 times the value and a handling fee which was not shown was added The total was $507.79. I feel that I was misled. I went to ************'s website again, and looked at the ticket prices and was surprised that I could have got the same tickets for far less both for $140.00. This ticket sales group should be warned about. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you for your time.

      On Feb 3, 2024, we googled for tickets to Little River Band at the Ledge Ampitheater in ***************, **, for the July 19, 2024 concert. The first search result came up and we clicked it and assumed we were on the office Ledge Ampitheater website. We quickly purchased 4 tickets at $107 each as it also stated that tickets were selling fast, creating an urgency, which we now realize was a false urgency! The base price of the tickets seemed high, but we just thought that must be the price. As the transaction was going through, suddenly another $136.96 in fees was added for a grand total of $621.62!! I purchased the tickets through paypal which is linked to my Discover card as I do not like to give out my Discover card number. Upon realizing this all seemed shady, my son immediately called Paypal with us to file a claim which was ultimately denied. As we are researching your company ********************.com is clearly deceptive. You have somehow engineered your site to come up first in the search results which is very deceptive. You trick people into thinking they are on an official venue website! You also create an urgency by stating that tickets are selling fast. We see on the official Ledge Ampitheater website there are many tickets still available for $47 each. No one in their right mind would pay almost 3 times the price of a ticket, but you trick people into thinking they are on the official venue site. This type of business model should be illegal. Total charges were not discovered until it was too late to back out. We are requesting a full refund and for you to pull back the tickets so that we can go to the Ledge Ampitheater official site and purchase tickets there for $47 each, which is what we intended to do in the first place if your deceptive ************** hadn't directed us to your website. Please resolve this matter asap. Thank you.

However, upon further review it appears the information provided on this claim does not pertain to any order placed on our site. As such, we are unable to provide assistance at this time.       On April ***** bought 4 tickets to a baseball game, these tickets are usually ***** dollars a piece, so when I went to buy 4 it showed a price of 52 dollars which would seem normal, however those tickets were 52 a piece, so when I went to pay the price was 208 dollars along with 70 dollar service fee and a 7 dollar email delivery fee making my order ****** dollars for 4 tickets. When I called the number on their website I was told there was nothing they could do by the representative on the phone.

      The business reached out and sent me a full refund however it wasnt until after I contacted the BBB so at this time the matter is resolved.

      On 3/31/24 I searched the web for a specific concert ticket. I landed on *********************************. I then saw a screen showing tickets that are available and a general section (no seat selection). I selected 'buy' then filled in a page for payment, NO TAX, FEES, NO TOTAL AMOUNT DUE WAS DISPLAYED. I received an email with a total, much higher than I would ever agree to, and was not given the option to agree to this total price. They just charged my card with no display or itemization of total charges. I contacted their customer service immediately, and was told no refunds. This is theft, and I did not agree to these charges. Please help me get a refund and help ensure this does not happen to others.

      The company does not disclose service charges and fees during the checkout process. This appears to be a very deliberate move to scam consumers. I have purchased tickets with other third-party vendors many times, and fees and service charges are always disclosed clearly and this company does not do such. I immediately requested Assistance and conveniently their chat and phone and email lines are all closed. I will dispute this charge with my credit card if necessary however, I am hoping this business will do the right thing and refund my payment.

      On 3/29/2024, when I went to purchase two tickets for a show at ************** at, what I thought was ********** website, but later found out it was ticketsales.com website and it showed 2 tickets to be 120. When I went to payment screen and put in info for payment and hit continue, it flipped to total screen for a brief second and before I could see a submit button it went straight to confirm. I would not have purchased if I was able to see the price. More than double expected ticket price and almost 100 in unexpected fees I would never have agreed to, instead of the 240 price that I expected I get charged ****** I contacted them immediately after I realized that the website was not the ************** website, and after three attempts, they refused to help and was told to bad, no refunds, and I could resell the tickets through them to try and get the money back, this is a total scam.

      I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution. They refunded my money only after I threatened to contact the fraud division of the **** attorney general's office. I had to be on the phone with them for two hours they refused to let me talk to a supervisor and tried to get me to sell the tickets that they tricked me into buying in the first place, Ticketsales.com is a scam operation, they should also pay me for the time i had to spend to get them to finally do the right thing as well as the pain and suffering they caused. Therefore, I accept their reimbursement, but I am not satisfied.

      This business should be illegal. Bought 2 tickets from Ticketmaster (so I thought) but when the buying process finished I checked my email and had ticketsales.com send a receipt. I questioned it because I was sure I went through Ticketmaster. I tried all the available ways to contact ticket sales but was unable for a few days. Finally getting in touch, I requested a refund but was told no way, sales are final. Problem I have is tickets are still available at the venue for the normal price. Ticketsales up charged me almost 3x the original price. The show isnt for a few weeks so there shouldnt be an issue but here we are. This company is just online scalpers and will steal your money. I wouldnt enjoy the show regardless at this point due to this company. I just want a refund and to put this behind.

      I purchased tickets from the site and am now being refused a refund. I purchased cheaper tickets on a different site. If I wasnt able to attend the event there is no way they said to cancel my order and get my money refunded. The tickets are overpriced and did not see the fees added until I was to check out. Very misleading.
