On a closed account, this company continued to bill me what they called late fees which were almost the same amount as my monthly payments would have been, instead of allowing me to just pay whatever stated was due. Funny how beginning 2023 those late fee invoices stopped, however they are now saying that I owe these fees to them. The fees were inconsistent each month as if they just charge you whatever they want to. When asked about the inconsistency in fees or how do they charge late fees on a closed account, there is no logical answer given. One rep stated that it was a system glitch and that they have no control over their system.Initial Complaint

Spaces, doing business as Regus Management Group under the parent company IWG, have committed me to a 24 month co-working membership without proper disclosure. I'm attaching a "welcome" email I received when I paid for what I thought was one month - *******. I'm also attaching invoices for ******* and February which say nothing about a 2 year membership either. The only time I discovered I was committed for a 2 year membership was when I cancelled my membership after 1 use, when I was disastisfied with the service. You'll see the Confirmation of Termination email, which is the only time I am advised I have a commitment until December ****. I would like a refund of the two-year contract which was not disclosed to me, in the amounts I have paid up until the time this claim is settled. I continue to pay the monthly invoice of $109 only to avoid being reported to a credit bureau. At the time of writing I have paid for 3 months.Initial Complaint

Attention: Regus I went to this location today (555 *********** Center, **********, ** *****) and the lady working in the 4th floor as a receptionist is awful, rude and racist. I am an interpreter and attended with q customer, a third party rented out the conference room for 3 hours appointment. When I got there, I was provided with a different name for the company I had to ask for, I stepped outside and made a phone call, found out the right name and 10 minutes later went back and told her the correct name for the company, she replied to me saying that's not the name I gave her. I said, I understand, I went outside and found out, she replied, Well, I'm not a mind's reader. Me and my customer looked at each other and felt discriminated, I told her not to be smart with me, I'm well educated and I was not being disrespectful to her, she told me If i want her to call security and I said yes, call security. She didn't call and I stepped outside with my client while she was talking on our backs. This lady should be there, she's racist, she has no manner and she thought she can humiliate us because our accents. ******Initial Complaint

Startin 05/31/2022 I entered a "virtual office" space lease agreement with Regus Spaces Chevy Chase Maryland and Regus Spaces NoMa in DC - I never actually utilized the space nor did I ever rent in-person time to meet a client. I am now 32 weeks pregnant in a high risk pregnancy and am unable to move forward with setting up a private practice. I contacted Regus Spaces Chevy Chase and Regus Spaces NoMa on 12/9/22 and provided them with a 30 day termination notice and today I received an email stating I cannot terminate my virtual lease until 12 months are paid for. So far I have paid $1652.30 in virtual office space and I have not once seen a client face-to-face in either location. I was hospitalized for pre-term labor at St. Agnes Medical Center in Baltimore, MD on 11/10/22 and 11/11/22Initial Complaint

We opened an account with Regus IWG in October this year for our startup. We have not been able to have access to our account information regarding billing and invoices. The only way you can cancel or correct any services is to do it online via their account. We were trying to update the billing info to our business checking account but cannot access it. As a result they keep charging us but we want to end our agreement since the communication has been terrible. There is no one we can speak directly to corporate from via phone and no one has been able to resolve our issue. We've only been able to speak to customer service via email and even then they haven't been able to properly resolve it. You can't even call a customer service desk besides the receptionist who doesn't have access to fixing the problem either.Initial Complaint

Regus sold me a month-to-month office lease, but then when I cancelled before the end of 1-month, tried to extend my lease by an additional 1.5 months, and also refused to refund my deposit. When I called the Ballston Regional Manager, Carla, she was unhelpful, verbally abused me, denied me the contact information of her manager, and then hung up on me. Then a week after I cancelled, Regus automatically charge my credit card for an additional month, even though I had already cancelled. I tried to delete my credit card information from their website, but their website prohibited the deletion of my own sensitive data.
This company is an outright scam, abuses customers, and needs to be held accountable.Initial Complaint

Company will not stop charging me for services not provided, although I have tried to cancel the account. Now are continuing to charge for services already paid, and they are threatening to take collection action.
I contracted with them for $100/mo to use their lobby and internet, in December 2021. I placed the order by telephone and provided credit card number (Discover) for charging. Used it once. I was contacted by their customer service in February, and requested that they cancel my account. They said I'd have to contact billing, but would not give me the address or phone number, saying I had to "Got to the website." I tried that, but did not have an account, so I could not. In order to get an account, I needed to agree to their Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, which I did not. I could not find an address or phone number for them on their website. I finally found their headquarters address on your website. In March, I sent a certified letter to their headquarters address, requesting to cancel the account. The letter was "Returned to Sender ... Unable to Forward". I contacted Discover and disputed the charges later in March. In May, I put a stop on further charges from Regus. Discover "Investigated" and ended up denying the dispute, and charging me for March, April, and May. I paid the charges and cancelled the credit card in August, 2022. On October 18, they sent an email saying that my account was suspended and I owed them $500. I had 3 days to pay it and resume services or pay it and end the agreement. On Nov 1, 2022 I got an invoice for $800.Initial Complaint

On October 28th, I signed up for a recurring one month coworking membership at Regus.
The cost was as follows:
$17.94 prorated cost for October
$139 cost for November
Total: $156.94
At the same time that these were charged to my credit card, I also received an additional $305 dollar charge from Regus. No where on their website or terms does it mention this charge.
I contacted Regus and after a drawn out customer service experience, they told me that they do not see the charge on their end and since they have no record of it on my account, they will not refund me.
At this point after these shady practices, I would just like a full refund and to close my account with them.Initial Complaint

I signed a 12 month contract with Regus Management Group to use Spaces Colony Square, their coworking space in Atlanta, GA. In June I decided to cancel my membership and not renew for another year. I didn't realize at the time that I needed to give 3 months notice before canceling or my membership would be auto-renewed and I would have to pay the same $150 rate monthly for another 12 full months. I tried to contact everyone possible to see if we could work something out, but I have been unable to speak to a real human being about it as all the help desk, billing, emails and phone numbers are all run by robots seemingly for the entire company. Now a robot emailed me offering to pay out a settlement of $1,671 which I don't want to pay and should not have to pay, but will pay in order for them not to report my debt to a credit bureau which they threatened. However, though I'm willing to pay, there's no place for me to even pay it! And i can't get in touch with anyone to ask them how to do it.Business Response

I have made several attempts to settle my issues with this company regarding a retainer being charged-the charge is more than what is discussed. I entered into multiple agreements with this company ( 12), and the billing is never correct. I want a credit for my late fees and a retainer that has been charged. They want you to place a credit card in the default position so they can run your credit card up and then you have to beg them for your money back. I do not recommend this company. They have a Help Desk that I believe is not located in the United States because they never want to call you on the phone. Terrible service. sent an email to the CEO who claimed that someone would get back to me.
