    On October 5, 2020, BBB contacted Regus to respond to a pattern of complaints and advertising concerns.

    Consumer allege that they were unaware of reoccurring charges, also known as a negative option, and experienced unexpected extra charges.

    BBB requested that the business include a response to the noted pattern, as well as include additional terms and conditions to clearly disclose any potential extra or reoccurring charges.

    According to the BBB Code of Advertising: "Whenever an advertiser mentions a price in advertising, the existence of any unavoidable or extra charges must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed in immediate conjunction with the price. This would include, for example, charges for delivery, installation,
    assembly, excise tax and postage and handling."

    The BBB Code of Advertising also states, "Any advertisement for a product or service that includes an offer to sell or provide consumers with additional goods or services under a negative option feature must include a clear and conspicuous disclosure of all material terms of the negative option feature.

    18.2 Such material terms include:

    18.2.1 The existence of the negative option feature;

    18.2.2 The cost of the additional goods or services;

    18.2.3 How consumers can cancel and avoid future shipments and charges; and

    18.2.4 How consumers can return items that they do not want.

    18.3 Advertisers must avoid making disclosures that are vague, unnecessarily long or which contain contradictory language.

    18.4 Advertisers must not interpret the consumer's silence, failure to take an affirmative action to reject goods or services, or failure to cancel the agreement, as consent to enroll the consumer in the negative option feature. Instead, they must ensure that the consumer affirmatively consents (either online, over the phone, or in person) to the negative option feature before enrolling the consumer in the plan."

      On 6/23/23, ******************************* (USHS) signed a 4 month lease for office space. This agreement was signed by *************************, COO. Contract start date 07/01/23 and an end date of 10/31/23. On 7/10/23, ***************************** (EA to COO) emailed SPACES representative confirming that we would not want the contract to extend beyond 10/31/23. In Aug., ******** reached out to SPACES representative ****, that we would like to extend the agreement for one month, with a start date of 11/1/23. On 09/05/23, **** emailed agreement to confirm one month extension. On 11/17/23 ******** reached out to SPACES representative ******** to see pricing of one week extension. ******** confirmed the price for USHS to extend the lease by one week on 11/17/23. ******** reached out to ******** for confirmation and asked about extending parking and coffee passes for the week. Her response is below." Good morning ********,Perfect, happy to have been able to find a solution for your team.Parking and coffee would now be on a pay as you go service as the alternative is your team would be billed for the entire month of December. If you would like to proceed with the monthly billing, please advise so I may add this for you. For parking if you would still like the company to be charged, we can validate on your behalf and have it be billed back to the account which will be shown in your next available invoice. I had to place a ticket for the priority internet service as I was not sure if this was something that could be extended.They have responded to me this morning and informed me that unfortunately that service is not something that we can retain for the extended week as it requires a full-time active agreement to tie that service to. I hope this was helpful, please advise how you'd like to proceed." USHS moved out on 12/7 and continues to be charged on credit card for lease. Charges were not authorized. Refund requested. All documentation linked in attachment can be provided.

      I started with Regus in Feb of 2024, I cancel the contract within 10 days of registering. But still had to pay the entire year which I did. They charge me a total of 11 payments all the way to Jan 2024, 80% of the payments were the same 251 one month(on 9 charges) and 179 the rest of the months. All these payments were sent to auto-draft on credit card within my account. Then starting in Jan 2024 things look weird I was charged $178 no invoice no details on what this was. In Feb 2024 no payments are due I thought to myself "I made it the contract is done!". Nope this is incorrect!!! In March of 2024 I'm charged 251 twice again no invoice or anything. I email the support they respond back with show proof you made these payments no explaining what the payments are no invoice or anything. I respond back asking for a invoice or explanation but guess what the email customer support uses is a no-reply email, yet they told me to provide them proof?! So I email asking again for an invoice and during this time they auto-draft me again and not for the $251x2 that's due but only a late fee of 55$ leaving the balance to increase!!! This company is a scam and they need to be reported I will never do business with Regus again they have no support phone number and the email you send only works one way. The support in the local office has no idea how to read or interrupt my billing neither. They literally stopped billing me in Feb2024 just to charge me two months in March when I agree to a 12 month plan I expect 12 payments not 14 payments plus late fees when the card is on file for them to withdraw the necessary balance. I hope you read this before wasting a year of your life with this company
