We purchased a washer dryer from *********** when their installer came to install he has set your laundry room on fire! We had the fire department over and they took care of the fire but it had damaged the room and obviously ********** has to pay for the repairs. ********** sent the case to Sedgwick , their insurance adjuster, to take care of! It has been 3 months and Sedgwick has not done anything except telling us that they are waiting for a report from the fire department! After 2 months of waiting I have decided to get the fire report myself and send to Sedgwick, they then said the report does not confirm the cause of fire! On the report its stated that the installer said when he was installing the fire started and the pattern of the fire matches the description of the installer! But Sedgwick says this is not enough and they need another report from fire department confirming exact cause! *************** did not carry out any further investigation so there is no other report other than the one I got them from fire department. Now for 3 months they keep saying they are waiting to hear from fire department for another report! Even though the report they want does not exist, every time they keep saying we are still waiting it has been 3 months and they are asking for a report that does not exist and dont want to pay for the damages they have done nothing at all and they are just trying to ask me to wait indefinitely hoping that Ill give up at some point chasing them.They didnt even get the fire report, after telling me for 8 weeks that they are waiting for report, which then took me only 3 days to get.They are absolute liars and will do anything they can to avoid paying you its shameful I will never buy again from any company that works with Sedgwick ever againBusiness Response

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint filed by *********** Please note that Sedgwick CMS is not an insurance company. Sedgwick CMS is a third party claim administrator. This complaint arises from a dispute related to a claim ********** filed against our client, The Home Depot.
A review of the claim file reveals that Sedgwick CMS has administered this claim in compliance with the laws and regulations governing the alleged loss.

I went on short term disability leave on October 27, 2022. It has been nothing but failure to send paperwork in a timely manner and no communication on the claim handlers part this entire time. Now it is December 27, 2022 and I have no money, maxed out credit cards, and no way to pay my bills because they have failed to do their part. Even though it was not sent on their end, they have placed a deadline of todays date to receive the paperwork that they JUST sent. I cant seem to get ahold of anyone and my doctors office has once again, had to send the paperwork with no one to review it in a timely manner.Business Response

I was rented a truck on Jun 3 to 8,2022 from "Budget truck rental" company which caused me a lot of damages during my long moving. The truck has a leak and other issues but their clerk never told me and I was rented with whole insurance coverage which it is under partnership with Sedgwick. As we had hard ************ during my moving in WA & OR, The truck leak caused a lot of damages in my stuffs' My expensive Mattress became very wet, colorful with bad smell, My Tv was damaged, my books became wet & not usable, Some of the dishes were broken, some of the bases of my furniture were broken, as well. I contacted to budget & they mentioned you need to contact our insurance partner. I contacted over 10 times with budget & they transfer me to the Sedgwick long line which sometimes you need stay online between 1 to 2 hours. The first time, Sedgwick rep. after heard my story, drop the line. Second rep. told me I have to call after 60 days (when I called after two weeks). Third person wants details information about my rental truck which I have to go to the ************* & getting that VIN # & any info they asked me. Again for the forth time, I called & Sedgwick rep. wants another info like which state truck has tag or so .I told her last person told me I need these *********** got all of ********** you want other info, How I need to know that & you just jerking customers around with difference excuses as you don't want take any responsibilities when I bought full **************** inside the truck ********* informed from the first day when I returned the ************** people knew about that very well. But she said I can not help you at all. I contact with Budget couple times & explained them that their insurance company is not caring for our damages when the caused of my damage also was from Budget careless & they hide the leak from me. This company is inconsiderable, no compassionate, unprofessional and unworthy of being truthful to the client. They are suppose to send out something on a weekly basics but it's always a week or two late. They don't return phone calls when you leave a message and when you request someone higher in authority when they do reach out to you, they never provide that information. When you ask for a second opinion, it is never done. They are very slow with all of their services. Filed a damage sprinklers report April 6 2022 with **** and they sent ** to Sedgwick. We received a claim number and never heard back from them. We tried calling, leaving voicemails, emailing for 7 months and nothing there is no way to even get a real person on the phone with them. I filed a claim for rats destroying my belongings back in October. Well they finally closed out the case and only paid $250 via direct deposit on 11/17. Well here we are today 12/5 and I still haven't seen the $250. I call and email almost everyday and no one answers or calls back or responds. Egregious sense of urgency related to filed claims dealing with thousands of dollars in delayed consumer payback. My issue is unrelated to my case manager at Sedgewick, but rather the lack of discipline and performance of a company that US consumers depend on so critically. A company of this scale should not be permitted to operate at a 1.0 rating on BBB.org (and it cannot be stressed enough: a company that consumers rely on for thousands in repayments). The impact to their clients can be devastating for the average US household--and should be considered a potential legal issue for the undue stress it and financial setback it causes for clients. In the last 30 days, I've tried calling/emailing Sedgewick over 30 times with no resolution. Sedgwick is a worker's compensation company that does not respond to health care workers involved in my care or me as the patient. My injury was at work 11/17/2022. I have called and my health care provider has called every day for 2 weeks with no response from my personal adjuster, nor from the main line where you can leave a message. I have also used their " chat" feature that is just a computer that makes you leave your name, phone number, and claim number and they will "get back to you in 2 business days"; that was a week ago. It seems very convenient to offer no communication with the patient or health care worker and then make what ever decision they want and not have to answer to anyone. No one can appeal a decision if the company can't be reached right? Great business model for them but it fails the patient. Through talking to my health care providers I have learned this is a pattern of behavior for this company. I have done everything in my power to contact them and resolve this issue as they will delay my recovery as I can only have 3 PT appointments until they give authorization. I just want an answer so I can proceed as needed recover and get back to my normal life. It is not my fault I was hurt at work. It is my understanding worker's compensation exists to protect the American worker's expenses related to injuries at work; my case is not severe but I know that is not the experience of others who are hurt much worse on the job. I want someone to look into this as I have heard of cases that are denied without ever even talking to the patient or their health care workers. I want to speak up for those who don't have the time, energy, or ability to speak for themselves during a very difficult time in their lives. This is an unacceptable practice in health care; I can speak as health care worker myself we are overwhelmed but it is not an excuse for a total lack of communication. I have a patient that was suppose to have surgery tomorrow but is now unable to because the adjustors NEVER answer the phone. I was on hold for a total of 3 HOURS, sent to wrong department or transferred just to reach yet ANOTHER VOICEMAIL. The first rep was so rude and states she sent the approval letter to us. I asked what fax number was it, it was not the correct one. She told me to contact the people who have it and get it. I said no, I have called for other patients and it was sent without problem. She expected me to go on a scavenger **** for the letter, I hung up. I called again and after another hour, was in the wrong department, I asked the rep to please transfer me to preauth, she hung up on me. 3rd person, he still did not want to give me the letter, said I have to speak to the adjustor. I said what is the point of transferring me to an adjuster who never answers! He said he can transfer me to their supervisor. I said please but just make sure she answers because I do not have time for another voicemail. He transferred me and ANOTHER STUPID VOICEMAIL!! Not my finest moment when I was screaming in her voicemail but at that I was so frustrated. I understand that injured workers are just money to you all but I actually want to help people get their life back on track.I know with every phone call and when the case is touched, there is a papertrail. On August 19, 2022 a Petri employee named **** was parked near my house, texting on her phone as she frequently does. I was waiting to cross the street with my dog. I waited about a minute for her to drive forward, but she didn't move, and since her windows have such a dark tint, I couldn't see her face. After waiting a long time without her driving, I assumed she was waiting for us to cross. We started crossing the street, when she drove forward and ran over my dog. I screamed, and she stopped. She never even got out of the car to check in us. She just rolled down her window and talked to me through the open window. She said she didn't see us there! Because she was looking at her phone, not the road!!!I immediately took my dog to a vet to check for internal bleeding and broken bones. I had to cancel all guiding for the week and a dive trip because my dog was a mess and I was in so much pain for weeks.**** is LYING and claiming she never hit us because I didn't call the police.***** refuses to take any responsibility for their lying, reckless driver. This is an unethical dangerous company. Many of my neighbors have told me they have seen her driving and texting and driving recklessly too. Apparently, ***** condones this behavior.Their insurance company got involved, and KNOWING that the Petri employee is lying, sent me a letter denying any responsibility.
