I took out a loan with this tribal loan company Rise Up Lending for $500
back in May 2024 at a rate of 391.34%. The monthly payment would
be $202.97 at (16) payments totaling
over $3200. I live in Georgia and these rates are not legal here. I thought that I would be paying them for 6 months and not 16 months which
is astronomical. I started paying them since June 12,2024 up October 9th,
totaling $1015,00. I feel this is more
than enough for a $500 loan and
I am being overly charged! Could you
please help me in this matter.Business Response

Going through a financial hardship and was seeking immediate help. I needed a fast loan. I applied for $1200 loan after completing the online process to get approved, wasn't given an agreement contract until after the fact they approved it. Given me no choice on accepting the loan terms. I'm expected to pay, almost $10,000 for a $1200 loan inwhich I was planning on paying back in 3 months. When signing and dating the online application, your putting yourself in more of a financial hardship due to the fact you didn't actually agree on the term of payments and interest. I was taken advantage of. I emailed the company and called without a response back to cancel within 24 hours and returning the payment.Business Response

On August 2 2024 I was searching for a loan company for a small loan. An advertisement came up that said Rise-Up Lending would give me a $450.00 loan . I agreed and after I did they told me what I had agreed to. A payment of the initial amount with $3000.42 pay back, interest. rate of 580.31%, $216.04 x 16 months. This isnt a loan it is theft. I do not have the income to pay it. I tried to call customer Service, but no responce.Business Response

Loan details were not clear, I would never have signed up for paying 664% for 1200 dollars. The customer service line is never open and hangs up on you so it is impossible to cancel or speak to a representative. At the end of the day charging someone 6000 for 1200 loan is robbery. I have already exeeded my loan amount by 700 dollars i need it to stop.

Company did not make clear the details and repayment expectations for the loan. Unreasonable amount of interest. On a 1000 dollar loan they expect over 600 dollars a month for 6 months time.Business Response
