Rise up lending is robbing everyone blind. Do not use them. We borrowed $3,000 they did not show any interest or paperwork. Turns out they are charging us over 450% interest. With $14,997 finance charges. Totaling $17,997 dollars when all said and done. Absolutely robbing people in need blind and causing more issues.Customer Answer

I took out a loan $2000 but Given that I have already repaid $4,720.56, which exceeds the original borrowed amount, I request that RiseUP immediately cease all further charges. Furthermore, I request that my outstanding balance be voided, and I request a refund of at least $2000, they can keep the rest to cover the principal, and any reasonable interest permitted. I took a small loan in December of 1,175.00 and now being charged over $7,000 for the loan, taking out 440.00 every month, 220 biweekly and would not want to do only once a month for 220, they did not show any for that they would charge so much for such a small loan and they do not ever try to resolve or negotiate, just want to take all of my money, I did not agree to all of this and would like this to be resolved and to stop with this scamInitial Complaint

I have never done business with this place but they have called me MULTIPLE times a week about a loan I never took out. If I call them, of course they need my information to verify if I have an account which I'm not willing to give. I borrowed $1188 from this company. on the phone, I was told, I would pay back the loan but they sent documents trying to charge me 700% interest which is illegal.
I checked online and they are not accredited and have several fraud complaints online.
Please look into this company as they are ripping people off for taking small loans charging triple the amount borrowed..

SHARKS/THEFTS (doing to everyone what was done to them) - I took out a $1,200 loan on 7/26/24 at $280.02 bi-weekly 568.46%. To date, I have paid $1,680 in 3 months, and I am being told my payoff balance is $1,246.54. If this loan goes the full term until 4/18/25, I would have paid $5,601.42. This, in my opinion, is legalized loan shark behavior/robbery, all aimed at the people who are struggling and desperate for help. The government allows these companies to do this as long as they can collect taxes from them. When there are enough complaints, they start under a different name, or they get hit with a class-action lawsuit. I called on 10/7 to ask them if they could help me with a settlement because after they debit my account every two weeks, I don't have money to live on. My loan is in good standing. They have collected the money I borrowed already and then some in 3 months. Rise Up waited after hours to call and tell me my request is denied and asked if I could do $1,100. Another way to stack more fees and interest on what is owed. I was told if the payment was not made, collections would get involved. I'm not afraid of collections; having food in my stomach and a roof over my head are more urgent. I think it is time to get the FTC and Consumer Affairs involved.Initial Complaint

October 7th, I acquired a loan through Rise Up Lending in the amount of $1200. I was discussed with agent at the time that the interest would be 27% and paid bi-weekly. They have since drawn out $288.02 every two weeks since October 7th which equals out to $2400. When I spoke with the agent on 1/27/2025, they explained that only 5 dollars has gone to the principal and that I still owe 1189 dollars. Have tried and failed to get any information on my loan account
1. Their portal, which all of my information is stored, has not been working for 6 weeks. I cannot obtain my loan number or pay off amount which is critical to my current financial situation.
2. Have called NUMEROUS times asking (calls are recorded) and NOBODY is willing to answer my question of obtaining a letter which includes my name and loan number.
3. I have a consolidation loan with an outside company which this particular loan from Rise Up is included, HOWEVER, because I have not received any information, MY INFORMATION, I haven’t been able to include this in my consolidation loan and have received a Collections email from Rise Up for non-payment.
I would like to file a complaint to ask the Better Business Bureau to please contact rise up lending so that they will release my information or at least allow me to get onto my portal. This is not good practice for a company and is affecting my credit. Again I have called numerous times and have spoken to different people regarding this issue. I called Rise Up lending on 11/29/24 to pay off my loan. Approximately 1100.00 for the 1000.00 loan I took out 5 months ago. Rise Up was unable to take my payment via phone due to an issue on their end. On Tuesday 12/2/24 I got an email that says my loan is now in collections and I have to set up another loan which entails additional fees. I took out a loan for 500. Needed the money, but I would have never taken out the loan if I knew there would be a 783% interest rate. This is outrageous. Now you’re telling me I owe close to 3,000??? I received a $1200 loan. I have paid back the principal and am still seeing a balance of $1100.
All payments have been made on time and make $700 every month.
