On march 19th, 2025 i was searching for a small loan as I had bills due. I was only looking at loans and Apr.rates when I had closed this particular site , my wife came and told me the next day late like, 4-5pm that this place had put the 1175.00 in our account without a signature for this loan, I was shocked at the fact that they can do that without a signature...I did not sign for this loan as it was a 704% apr rate. My hands were tied as it was a weekend and after 5pm, I could not do anything and I cannot contact them via phone and they do not respond to my emails.
Please help me, I don't know what to do anymore...stop them and get my money back...I did NOT SIGN for this loan. I want all monies paid back to me after 1175.00 was paid to rise up...thats about 630.00 and stop charging my account as it keeps going negative.
Thank you Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: I’m not the only person who has been taken advantage of, this is an extremely predatory loan! Let’s give an example; if I went to a bank for a home loan $350,000 is the bank asking me to pay triple the amount they loaned!? Absolutely not, so why is it this entity thinks it’s ok to charge someone over $5000 in interest for a loan on $1000. This is a loan shark type of deal, it’s absolutely not ok.

I was sent to pre-approval and followed through with the process. I had them connect with my bank and then if I had not been paying very close attention I would have picked the next button which would have agreed to a $4,000% finance charge that had never been shown to me. Previously. I had to search for the document that they had written up with my name on it that had the $4,000% interest charge. They are robbing people blind.Business Response

I dispute the terms and enforcement of the loan issued to me by Rise Up Lending, which I believe constitutes a predatory loan under consumer protection laws. This loan includes unconscionable interest rates, excessive fees, and terms that are designed to trap borrowers in a cycle of debt, which is both unethical and, in many jurisdictions, unlawful. I did not fully understand the nature or consequences of the loan terms at the time of signing, and I believe the terms were not clearly disclosed to me in a transparent or fair manner. I believe the loan in question may violate the spirit of consumer protection laws and initiatives aimed at curbing predatory lending practices in NV. I understand that Rise Up Lending is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dakota Economic Development Corporation, While I respect the sovereignty of the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe, I am a resident of NV, and the loan was solicited and executed online while I was physically present in NV.Therefore, I contend that NV state laws and consumer protection statutes are applicable to this transaction.s I'm aware that the Washington State Dept.of Financial Institutions has received complaints against Crow Creek Sioux Tribe RiseUp Lending noting the entity is not licensed to conduct business in Washington State and may be operating as an unlicensed tribal lender. I demand the following:Immediate cessation of all collection efforts related to this loan,Communication from Rise Up Lending, to confirm that the loan has been canceled. If loan not closed I need full accounting
documentation of loan to bring to a lawyer and to share with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau,The Nevada Attorney General's Office, Other regulatory agencies and consumer advocacy groups. If I don't receive a satisfactory resolution within 5 business days I will be forced to escalate this matter by filing complaints with: The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Nevada Attorney General's OfficeOther relevant regulatory agenciesBusiness Response

Complaint: ********
Good day,I reject your response. I must reiterate and stand by my original position: I dispute the validity and enforcement of the loan issued to me by Rise Up Lending. The terms of this loan—including excessive interest rates and fees—are unconscionable and align with what are widely recognized as predatory lending practices, which are restricted under both Nevada state law and federal consumer protection statutes.
As previously stated, this loan was solicited and executed while I was physically present in Nevada. Therefore, Nevada state laws apply. The fact that Rise Up Lending is owned by a tribal entity does not exempt it from complying with consumer protection laws in the state where the borrower resides and the transaction occurred.
To be clear: I do not intend to pay this loan in full. Your offer to settle for $800—the original loan amount—by June 10, 2025, is not only unfair, but also places an unrealistic financial burden on me. Demanding full payment by the next business day to avoid further interest is both unreasonable and coercive. It is, frankly, unconscionable, and demonstrates a complete disregard for the well-being and reasonable expectations of a borrower to insist on such a large sum with virtually no notice—especially given the questionable terms of the loan itself. This kind of ruthless pressure and lack of empathy is exactly why I dispute the loan’s terms and enforcement.
I did not fully understand the terms at the time of signing, and I believe they were neither transparent nor lawful. Your communications have failed to address my concerns regarding excessive interest, the lack of clear disclosure, and the loan’s questionable legal standing.
Your offer to “settle” for $800 is not a resolution, and I do not accept it.
I hereby renew my demands for the following:
Immediate cessation of all collection efforts related to this loan.
Written confirmation that the loan has been closed and marked as paid in full.
Written assurance that no negative credit reporting will be made to any credit bureaus in connection with this loan.
A complete and itemized accounting of all charges, payments, interest rates, and fees associated with the original loan, for review with legal counsel and inclusion in regulatory complaints.
If I do not receive confirmation of this resolution by Friday, June 13, 2025, I will move forward with filing formal complaints with the following agencies:
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)
Nevada Attorney General’s Office
Other relevant consumer protection and regulatory agencies
Please confirm in writing that this account will be closed, marked as paid in full, and that no further collection attempts will be made, so we may consider this matter resolved.
Sincerely,

I took out a loan for $1200 in February 2025. To date I have made 7 payments of $321.69. I was not informed of the interest rate prior to taking out the loan. I have tried repeatedly to access my account online, but I keep getting told that I have to reset my password. Despite being told a reset link has been sent I am not receiving it. I need the access so I can see the terms of my agreement. It's been 3 months and I still don't know the terms. When I do get through to customer service via phone they can only tell me my payoff amount. I have already repaid twice the amount I borrowed. Since I can't even access the terms of my own loan I should think I've paid enough!! It's hard to agree to terms when you don't even know what the terms are before the loan is deposited. Excessive rates should be illegal.Business Response

I took out a loan from Rise Up Lending for 449.10 April of 2024. I have paid 215 a month for a year now. When I got the loan I didn't know how much I had to pay back until I had finalized the loan. I think this is extremely excessive. I have paid back triple of what I borrowedBusiness Response

My father is an old man with medical issues and vision problems who like everybody else gets misleading emails and advertisements. Around February he applied to what he thought was a credit card. They send the money as soon as possible and they don’t clearly disclose the interest rates. They make it a quick process where they send you the money right away and intentionally provide document files but they ask for the signature outside of these documents which deceives the customer into thinking that it’s no big deal. Only after the funds were deposited into his account and was making monthly payments thinking that he is only owes them only $35 did he realize that he had unknowingly agreed to a short-term loan with a staggering 552.94% APR on a $900 principal.
Upon further inspection of their website and loan documents: the Annual Percentage Rate (APR) and repayment breakdown were not clearly or prominently disclosed during the application process, the repayment plan is structured in a way that barely reduces the principal, creating a cycle of debt that is financially devastating, their association with tribal sovereignty is used as a shield to evade California’s usury laws and consumer protections, despite their loans being targeted at non-tribal members like myself in California. I humbly request that you investigate Rise Up Lending’s licensing status and compliance with both California and federal laws and assist in voiding the loan and recovering damages resulting from this exploitative agreement. This urgent is his next pay is scheduled for April 30th and they are requesting a pay of $1,055.74 today after two payments of $432.07!
I reproduced the process requesting a $900 while I recorded the screen to see the process. Their interest was a staggering 725.09%!! They are extremely unfair, exploitative, deceptive and abusive.

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:
The original complaint was submitted between April 10th and 11th to provide the company proper time to address our concerns before the end of the month. Although the company acknowledged receipt, they deliberately delayed responding until April 30th—strategically timing it to ensure the loan amount would be incurred. They sent an email on April 30th, but the attached letter was dated April 25th, indicating it had been prepared earlier but withheld intentionally for international delivery at the last moment.
Upon reviewing the letter, it’s evident the company misunderstood the complaint as being about me, when in fact it was clearly about my father—a senior citizen who is unable to handle this issue independently. Each time I called the company, I included my father on the line to confirm that he had authorized me to manage the matter on his behalf. Despite this, the company claimed they would follow up directly with him but never did. My father called them twice, and each time, just as he attempted to add me to the call, they hung up. Everything is recorded and timestamped. We are truly disgusted with such unethical behaviors and we seek protection from them not only for us but for all American senior citizens who are being exploited and deceived.
Moreover, the company attempted to withdraw funds from my father’s bank account using different names to bypass restrictions and force a transaction.
Today, I tried to replicate the steps on their website to see the process again which I already recorded from last time I reproduced it. However, now both I and other members of my family receive the same blocked message upon attempting to proceed as if they are trying to prevent us from seeing the shady process they are involved with.
sincerely,
***** *******
