I have recently bought a pre-owned vehicle from the Stokes Honda located in ******** ***** ******** back in April 2024, and a couple months in started having issues with my back up camera.
I took it to Stokes Honda and was told that the radio that was installed in the car previously was not a Honda product, therefore it was not covered under the warranty, thus I would have to come out of pocket to purchase a new one.
If I was told previously before buying the car that the radio was not a Honda product I would not have gotten the car without it being replaced with the original or a new one.
As a first time buyer for a car I am shocked at the negligence of not being informed of this and when attempting to reach out, through multiples emails to receive some type of compensation or reimbursement, my concerns go ignored.

When **** ****** purchased the car, she was given the
opportunity to test drive and go through the vehicle.  See attached "Before You Buy" disclaimer.  She elected to go through
with the purchase of the vehicle. When the vehicle was brought to us, we
inspected it and determined that the radio was in fact not factory and that was
causing the problems with the unit. We have reached out to the company
that she has purchased her extended warranty coverage through and are currently
in the process of getting this problem resolved and the vehicle fixed. **** ****** has a service appointment August 20, 2024 to resolve this issue to her satisfaction.

May 31, 2022 my husband and I purchased Jeep Wrangler. We were told it just arrived on the lot. When testing driving, the engine light came on. Our sales guy Corey said it still needed to go to the service department and they would fix whatever was causing the engine light to come. I returned the next day for a scheduled appointment with the dealership. They fixed an electrical issue June 1, 2022 with the lights. An appointment was made at Butler for June 26 for the Butler dealership. They said they were sending it over to Butler, a dealership in town that works on Jeeps. An appointment was made and the vehicle was seen at Butler on June 18, 2022. They communicated it was the torque converter and that Stokes told them they will fix it in house. Another appointment was scheduled with Stokes on July 26, 2022. I was provided with a company vehicle on July 26, 2022. During this time ***** ********* was unreachable. I called weekly for updates on the Jeep. I reached out to the GM at this time.on August 24, 2022 My vehicle was driven from Beaufort Sc to my home in Columbia by a stokes employee stating the repairs were finished. Finally it was fixed. Well that was no the case. On January 13, the Jeep left me stranded. Fortunately the parking lot had an auto shop. The mechanic there checked it out for me for free. As soon as he turned the vehicle on he said “that’s your torque converter” and that the transmission may be damaged because of it. Called Stokes and spoke with **** and apparently there is no records stating they worked on my vehicle and there is nothing that could be done. He said I need to keep my expectations realistic. Why are there no records of my torque converter being replaced? Why would they provide me with a company car for a month free of charge if you didn’t have my vehicle? Information is not being disclosed to me!

I have attached the reply from our Service Director regarding the issue in question as to if the torque converter was installed.  The explanation and the invoice copy attach show that the converter was installed and repaired.  Plase know that our intention is to always complete the repair as requested.  We are not able to reimburse for the torque converter since it was installed properly.  Please contact ****** ******* at ************ for any additional questions regarding these repairs to the vehicle in question.

    To Whom It may concern.

Please find listed here a copy of the information requested on the part (s) used for the repair for id# ********

When we replace parts we use the manufacturers part numbers. These part numbers are sometimes stamped on the parts. Some parts do not have the part number on them like the bolts, trans fluid, Gasket.

On some Items Like a Transmission assembly, Engine Block it will have different codes for the plant, Julian date, and options. However when we replace the parts we go off the part number. We do not look for

Serial numbers since most parts do not have them. The industry revolves around the specific part number. This is because many manufactures have several venders and they may source a part being made by

**** ****** ****** ** ****** ****** ****** ****** Continental or Borg Warner are just a few. This means the serial number is only good to the vendor and not the repair facility. And this is assuming they stamped

a serial number to the part. So this is why we go off what the original equipment catalog calls for as the OEM part number.

The Parts used in this repair were bought and sourced through our local ***** *******.

The parts used on this repair are

    1.  R8078840AB (torque Converter)
    2. R8434030AA (valve Body)
    3. 52108332AA (gasket)
    4. 68218058AC (oil-auto trans)
    5. 52108270AA (bolts to the trans pan)
