We have requested a copy of the bill/contract from the creditor, ******************, this will be sent to the consumer's address as listed on this complaint. Also, upon researching the historical events on the account, it does appear that the consumer made a payment arrangement in September 2024 to start paying the debt off. Unfortunately, it also appears that the payment was defaulted on. Also attached is the validation letter that was sent to the consumer's last known email address, as well as a follow-up email notice. Per Federal Laws, we are allowed to presume any information obtained from our clients, is true and valid until proven otherwise. Due to the Consumer filing the *** ID Theft report, we have closed the account and returned it to the Client. Since the account was only assigned to us for purposes of collection, we have no control over whether the creditor will pursue collection of this account by placing it with another collection agency or law firm. We have also requested that this account be deleted from any consumer reporting agency files to which we have submitted information at the time of this response. I am filing this complaint against National Recovery Agency (NRA Group LLC) regarding their continued attempts to collect multiple debts in my name that I dispute in full. I sent a written notice clearly stating that I do not acknowledge these debts as valid, nor do I agree with the amounts claimed. Despite my communication, this agency has persisted in collection activity without providing proper validation as required by law.Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA, 15 U.S.C. 1692g), a consumer has the right to dispute the validity of a debt and request verification. While I explicitly stated that I do not need them to send me "proof" because I know what is and is not mine, the burden remains on the collector to cease all collection activity until they validate the debt. If they are unable or unwilling to validate, continued collection is a clear violation of federal law.Additionally, if they have reported any of these alleged debts to the credit bureaus, they may also be in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA, 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2), which prohibits furnishing inaccurate or disputed information to credit reporting agencies without conducting a proper investigation.Furthermore, I gave specific instructions on how and when I can be contacted, restricting communication to email between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM Eastern Time. Under FDCPA 1692c(a)(1), contacting me outside of my stated preferences constitutes harassment.Business Response

NRA Group, LLC., only has 1 account for this consumer. We have sent a request to the current creditor ****************************. for a copy of any documentation they can provide us. The original creditor is APP OF ******************, for services provided at **************************************** in ************* ***********. The account has been placed in dispute status at this time. Also, the consumer states he sent a written notice to us, but the only one we have received is the one attached to this complaint. As for reporting the debt to the credit bureaus, any and all information that is obtained from our business associate, *****************************, is allowed by law to be presumed true and correct until proven otherwise. Therefore we are not in violation of FCRA 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2. The Consumer's account is now also placed in Do Not Call status, as well as no phone calls, the consumer will not receive text messages, or emails until our investigation is complete. Our only communication until our investigation is complete, will be via this complaint. We ask for patience as we work with the creditor to investigate this dispute.
