I live in ** and a sales person from this company showed up at the side of my car as I was getting home from work. They made me feel very uncomfortable and were over aggressive in setting up an appointment for people to come to my house that night or the following day. After my repeated bouts of not showing any interest in the product or services I was forced to accept an appointment i did not want. Ive now been contacted by email they are showing up at my home again today. I feel very uncomfortable about this company and it feels like a scam to try and enter my home. Their website says they are A+ rated on BBB which feels fake. (********************************) but I wasnt even able to find a NJ location on your site at all. I chose a FL location just to be able to fill out the complaint. The entire situation is sketchy and should be dealt with immediately I believe. Thanks.Business Response

Good morning,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your remodeling experience. We take feedback from homeowners like you very seriously. I apologize for any frustration or aggravation this issue may have caused. I have reviewed your complaint and personally looked into the matter.
Power received a separate communication via Powers website outlining your request to cancel your free estimate scheduled for 10/23/2024, which was cancelled. Power did not return to your home. Additionally, Power has already added you to Powers national Do Not Call list and your local Do Not Knock list so that Power sales and marketing representatives will no longer visit your home to discuss current sales and marketing promotions when Power is performing other work in your community. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I had someone from power come out to my house and give me an estimate for my roof and gutters. I ended up just going with the gutters which I was told would be around $7000. I was not given any paperwork with the estimate on it. I was told they were giving me discounts and promotions to get me to this price. The team that came out to put up the gutters did damage to my property. When I was contacted by the financial company I was then informed I was being charged over $11,000. I tried to get this resolved with Power, but they said the only thing they could do was extended my contract to make the monthly payments lowered.Business Response

Copies of the signed sales agreement and signed project specifications page of your sales agreement are attached to this response. These documents were complete and signed by you and Power's Remodeling Consultant on 6/12/2024 when you agreed to enter into a contract with Power. The scope of the work to be performed and the project price are clearly listed on these documents. Furthermore, on 7/1/2024 when the work was completed you signed a Completion Certificate that also indicated the total price of the project that Power performed at the home. Power has always made the price and scope of the work for your project as transparent as possible and available to you.
Power's local installation office in ********** is aware of the concerns with the porch roof after the trim work was completed and an Installation Managed is scheduled to be on-site to assess the roof on 11/8/2024. We look forward to having any outstanding concerns resolved for you soon.

ordered a replacement window approx 2-3 months ago with an install date od Oct 21 between 9-10 a.m. Called Power this morning Oct 21 to confirm arrival and was told the window would be installed as scheduled. waited all morning for the installation until 1:30 when i called to find out what the holdup was. The individual i spoke with informed me that the install would not be done a scheduled and would have to be rescheduled for a later date, now scheduled for Oct 29 between 9:45 and 10:45. am not pleased with having to wait all day and then having to call the company myself to find out that the install will have to be rescheduled. that to me is very poor customer service and what i thought was a very decent company has now fallen short of my expectations. after having to pay over $600.00 for the replacement window i am having my doubts about Power windowsBusiness Response

This company installed windows in my home that are in need of repair while under warranty-they are less than 5 years old. One replacement window was ordered in July 2024-they require the entire window to be replaced even though it is just the glass that needs to be swapped out. They cannot complete this until Jan 2025. I called in October 2024 about another window has broken mechanisms and they cannot get a service technician out until Feb 2025. They will not allow me to have these windows repaired and submit a claim for reimbursement. They were very quick to come install and set up a line of credit with a predatory interest rate, but it is nearly impossible to get them to come back to correct mistakes or repair issues that arise from faulty installation.Business Response

The service that Power offered to provide you out of warranty was cancelled and the charge for the service materials already refunded at your request. A service for the remaining concern with another window is scheduled for the earliest available date and time. Should an earlier appointment become available a Power representative will be in contact with you to make alternative arrangements. Complaint: 22435545
I am rejecting this response because:The original repair request was cancelled because the expected date of completion changed from end of September 2024 to December 2024 without any notification. The second repair was called for in October 2024 and the earliest date they can get someone here is February 2025. If you want windows as a new customer-they can come in a few days. Why do repairs require MONTHS? There was zero compensation offered so I can get the necessary repairs done by someone else in the meantime. The lead times are criminal-they take your money then you cannot get them to come fix their mistakes in a timely manner.

Good morning,
We apologize for any missed appointments in the past, we understand what an inconvenience that can be and Power considers rescheduling any appointment a last resort. No compensation was offered to have the concerns addressed by a 3rd party because Power would not longer be able to warranty the work under Powers lifetime labor warranty if a 3rd party were to remove, modify or repair any of the work Power performed.
We appreciate your patience and look forward to having your service concerns addressed as soon as possible.

Complaint: 22435545
I am rejecting this response because:
The warranty is useless if the customer cannot utilize it in a timely manner. 4 months to get a repair appointment is unacceptable, especially when Power has no problem taking money from new customers and scheduling a salesperson or technician to come install in a matter of days.
Power is very quick to take your money and install faulty products or use subpar technicians, but they will not make an effort to expedite repairs when their products or services fail. Their warranty is impossible to utilize when needed.

I had power home Remodeling install siding on my house in 2021. The siding has blown off the house 3x over the years and they do not repair it properly. It has fallen down and struck a tenants car this last time it fell in November of 2023. I have been waiting for them to repair it but never came back. I call and are promised a date of repair but that date comes and goes without communication. I was supposed to get a call today to discuss a repair date but that never happened.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
Power Home Remodeling was scheduled to come out to replace the siding panel but failed to show up . This is now the 4th time a date was set and nobody showed. I am very frustrated and need the BBB get the word out about the poor warranty response that Power Hone Remodeling has to their customers. This needs to effect negatively on their rating so other consumers know what kind of business they run.

On 10/12/2024 I meet with a salesperson on replacement windows. I told the salesperson I would be paying cash and was asked if they could do a SOFT credit pull so I would get "no money down". To which I agreed and unlocked my credit. Instead, they did a hard pull as if I was going to finance.I want this hard inquiry removed as it was unauthorize.Business Response

I had Power Home Remodeling Group replace my front door. The front door was replaced and I had multiple problems. This company offers warranty and they have come out multiple times to try to fix it. After multiple attempts to fix the door, and still having issues I would like the company to replace it. The major issues with this door is that light and air comes in through the lower right corner, it seems the measurements are wrong. The doorknob and handle has been replaced and it is completely broken. Everytime I call for service it takes about 8 weeks to have someone come in and take a look at the problem and then try to solve it.Business Response

Powers local sales and marketing departments apply for and receive all necessary permits from local municipal governance's whenever they intend to visit the local communities that Power is currently performing work in. I contracted with Power Home Remodeling to replace all the windows in my condo on 5-13-24. Before signing anything I specifically asked if the company worked to make sure my *** would approve the project. I was told that they would. I received an email from Power on 5-20-24 providing me with the paperwork to submit to my ********** I submitted the forms provided along with the email. The email stated the windows would be Like-For-Like (same size. location, style, grid patter and color). With this information the *** board approved the project. When the windows were being installed an ********* member called to my attention that the windows were not Like-For-Like. Because of this I would be in non-compliance status and subject to on going fines. When I spoke with Power about this they informed me that Like-For-Like does not mean Like-For-Like. That if the *** wanted to be specific about the windows they should've said something before. I asked them if someone told you things were going to be Like-For-Like what would you have to be specific about. I have been dealing with Power over three months. I have not paid them anything because the job has not been completed. I got my *** to accept a redesign of the windows but the windows will still be different from the other units. Power refuses to make these changes unless I agree to pay $2000 more. The project was to be $33,836. I want to complete this project but I don't believe I should pay more based on Power's misrepresentation. Power sent me a legal letter on Monday 10-7-24 stating the project needs to be paid or they will be seeking legal action. I am hoping the BBB can help settle this issue.Business Response

Power received HOA approval to complete the work in the home exactly as it is outlined in the sales agreement and project specifications associated with your project. Power has worked with you since the installation of the windows now that you have expressed that you wish to have a different aesthetic on the exterior of the home. A contract amendment was provided outlining the specifics of those changes and the associated cost involved. The letter you received in the mail on 10/7/2024 details Powers expectations moving forward. If you wish to have the exterior altered, the associated cost has been provided to you. If you wish to keep the project as-is, payment on the project is due.
