      One of the worst psp's anyone can deal with. Fantastic in incompetence and horrible in any form of support. Their internal staff training has to be zero for such a pathetic response they provide without fail. High charges, unexplained fees, taking forever to resolve a simple matter... this is the typical shift4 for you.

      DO NOT USE this company. Everything that was promised was a lie. I was told no fees just a % of the total. Guess what I have a $25 every month plus a higher % than promised. They won't let me out of the so called contract.

      I called in to suspend my account as we had to close temporarily back in november and was told they would suspend my charges and refund what i was charged as i actually closed in august. Not only did they continue to charge me my price more then tripled they said because of inactivity fees. I called and talked to someone again and they said thats the way it works i cant suspend my account. This is the absolute worst business i ever had to deal with. Absolutely terrible customer service and all about them and screw the consumer. I dont wish bad on anyway but I hope this company gets shut down or goes out of business. Absolutely terrible

      Worst company ever, they over charge on credit card processing fees, then when you try to cancel the service they would take very long time to reply and to cancel the service, I DO NOT RECOMEND IT STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

      I wish I could give zero stars. I have never in my life dealt with such an incompetent horrible in-human company. I understand contracts and everything else. However, when I contacted them to close my account December 2, 2022, I was told that was no problem that they would send in the information to do this. I was even told that they would not be charging me any more and they went as far as to say “I will try to get the 2 months you were inactive refunded if possible.” I spoke with a MR L****. He was VERY nice. So then I call again to get the *** label to send the equipment back and am told “you’re still under contract you were given the wrong information. I’m sorry he did this but there is nothing we can do” this was a ms Michelle. She then told me that if our business showed closed on ****** she could try to cancel the account and that she would have the company look into the phone call between myself and Lukas. Since then I spoke with a Crystal who was extremely unhelpful told me that she was the highest form of escalation. She would not let me speak with her supervisor and also said the same thing “sorry Lukas gave you incorrect information”. I pleaded with her explained that we had to close our business and how the $340 they just took out in fees (that we were not for-warned of even though I’ve been talking with them daily) really hurts our family. I got the coldest reply of “you signed an agreement you have to follow through”. I’m now waiting on a “ticket” that she is supposedly sending to her supervisor which I feel I will never hear back from because she told me multiple times there was nothing they would do. This is a HARD time on families and when a company gives you information they 100% should be standing behind it!! I’m so upset and would not suggest them to anyone!

      Omg. The BS to cancel , phone calls and more calls, took fees for past 2 months after was told account was closed, now blaming me telling didn’t fill out correctly, now again telling me never emailed my closure, constantly transferring to others, making you repeat all info, speaking to people telling you they don’t have access to account. Iam done with them, they can keep my $500 not worth the hassle to recoup my money, beware dealing with this company

      I HAVE BEEN USING SHIFT 4 FOR 14 YEARS AND IN THE LAST YEAR THEY HAVE WENT TO GARBAGE. I CAN'T EVEN GET A SUPERVISOR ON THE PHONE. THEY ARE DEPOSITING MONEY CORRECTLY INTO OUR ACCOUNT BUT DEBIT CHARGES OUT OF A CLOSED ACCOUNT AND WE ARE GETTING OVERDRAFT FEES. I HAVE ATTEMTED TO FIX THE PROBLEM FOR 10 MONTHS NOW WITH NO RESOLVE. I HAVE FAXED EVERYTHING REQUESTED 6 DIFFERENT TIMES WITH NO RESOLVE. THE PAPERWORK IS 100% CORRECT AND COMPLETE. I AM NOT A NEW BUSINESS OWNER. I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR 30 YEARS.

      ITs SAD THAT I MIGHT HAVE TO SHOP FOR ANOTHER MERCHANT SERVICES COMPANY BECAUSE A SUPERVISOR REFUSES TO CALL ME BACK OR ATTEMPT TO RESOLVE AN ISSUE WITH A LONG TIME CUSTOMER. THIS COMPANY IS TURNING INTO TRASH.
      I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL WHATSOEVER TO ANYBODY.

      Zero stars for my experience with Shift4. Lost a bunch of money due to lack of certain functions, terrible customer service (tech support is completely useless), and if you’re a bar/restaurant YOU CAN NOT START TABS!!!! Major issues that I wish we’d known before switching. Don’t do it.

      As other gateway providers and processors have alleged in court cases, Shift4 is attempting to strong arm their gateway clients into moving their credit card processing services to Shift4, or be hit with insane fee increases. My monthly fee for credit card gateway services increased from $15.00+ a month in April 2022 to $154.00+ per month in August 2022. That is 5 months! I know inflation has been crazy, but that is a floor increase of 927% in just 5 months! It also doesn't even count the, so called, PCI Compliance fees they started charging for gateway services(?), or the EMV processing fees they started charging. That is all while I was actually getting bids from Shift4 to take on my CC processing. Shift4 is preying on small business owners who are overworked and understaffed. Are these mob tactics how Jared Isaacman; et al, have decided to pay for Inspiration4 and the Polaris Program?
