      The car was delivered on October 5th we have not received temporary tags and registration documents have not been sent to our local DMV. We cannot drive this car legally I have sent emails and having been calling almost every single day. They promise that someone will call you back, but I have yet to receive a follow up call there always numerous excuses (i.e., DMV team is in a meeting, or someone is out sick). If this continues, we will receive a penalty from the state for not having the car tagged in a timely manner. We have also begun making payments on a vehicle we cannot legally drive but they got their money, so they really do not care for their customers.

      The car came with a 30 day out of state temp tag. Turns out they didn't submit the paperwork until 5 days before that temp tag expired. The email I got said the paperwork was submitted to my local dmv so I called but they had no record of anything. I called Driveway to ask about this and time frames and they assured me this 3 week time frame delay was normal because they do a "pre-audit". And that the paperwork wasn't submitted to the local dmv but a third party processor. They could not say what the name of that processor is but that have a 1-2 week turnaround time. I said that would be past the expiration date of the current temp tag and was told that is normal and driveway would pay for any ticket I got. Which didn't sound normal or good policy or a good enough solution but it seemed I was stuck so I foolishly just accepted it. Fast forward almost 2 weeks and I call again to get a status and that person says the communication says it was submitted to my dmv. I said I called my dmv again and they have no record and I was previously told it was sent to a third party processor. She said it might be that the dmv hasn't processed the submittal. Well I called my dmv again and they are at a next day turnaround so it's not that. She says she will email the customer care person and get back to me. I hear nothing so I call again the next day. This person gave me her direct line and said she will try again and get back to me and that this super great third party processor has a 2-3 week time frame, which is just more inconsistent info. I say don't care how long the plates take but I need a temp tag immediately and since my dmv has no record of anything I can't get one through them so I need some other solution so I can drive legally. I hear nothing and call again at the end of the day and she says that person must be on vacation so she'll ask a collegue. I still haven't heard back and have no solution. Others reviews seem like this is a common problem people have had.

      I bought a car online with a trade in as well. The car was delivered august 12 , 2022 with out any paper work, sales paper work, pink slip , or temporary plates . After multiple calls a temporary plate was emailed. It has been expired for two months now and I have still not received my license plate, or any paperwork to get a state registration. My loan company has been asking for the title as well with out getting any answer. I have been calling and using the chat option and no one will answer why I have not received my plate . The only answer I get is it will be looked into and the *** willl contact me . No one will answer why my car is illegal to drive as it has no legal plates and I can not get a registration. They have a hard time every time even finding my account every time I call. No one is giving any answers why they cannot give any updates.

      We purchased 2 vehicles from Driveway, one in September and one in October. No title , no plates and temporary plates expired. We live in ******** and ******* was just shut down by the ***************** for these exact same reasons - next step is to contact the Attorney General **************** office if this is not resolved soon because it is obvious by the numerous similar complaints I just read on this bbb website that this companys management is non existent and in chaos.

      We purchased a Jeep 3 months ago and to date still have not received the plate and registration for car. Driveway has provided 2 temporary paper window plates , which the most recent one expired on December 8th 2022. Multiple attempts to get this resolved on our part have produced no action. We keep being told by Driveway representatives we almost have it , dont worry etc. **** from Driveway assured us last week she was on top of this , and now she is not responding. We paid over $40k for this vehicle and find this company lacks any sense of corporate management nor responsibility. Our next action is to contact the State of Michigans attorney generals office this this week.

      We have been LIED TO by this company repeatedly making false statements.  Driveway.com has NO business tricking us into buying this vehicle as they apparently had no legal basis to sell it to us.   We have financed this vehicle through chase - the lender of their choice - and now the vehicle sits without a title nor a plate.   Months of be lied to by **** at Driveway and others.   

      we want a full refund of monies out of pocket to date.   We will be contacting the ***************** Attorney General **************** office to formally file a complaint today.

      I purchased a vehicle with Driveway and the entire transaction has been a complete nightmare. *****, the sales agent, harassed me the entire first day telling me to hurry up and get the car insured and submit the down payment right away. After I rushed to get all the necessary paperwork and finances submitted the sense of urgency moving forward completely diminished. I was told that it would take **** days to receive my vehicle in which I patiently waited. After about a week I had not heard anything so I inquired about how much longer this process would take. It was then they told me NONE OF THE ***** WORK HAD EVEN BEEN INITIATED!! After speaking to a manager named ***** my paperwork arrived a few days later. I signed, notarized and sent it in the mail the following business day. AGAIN I HEARD NOTHING FROM THEM so I had to follow up to make sure it was received. It was then they told me the photo of my license wasn't sufficient and I needed to take a photo copy of my license. At this point I started to become extremely frustrated since they could have told me this weeks ago! I had no car and didn't have a copier in my home so of course this took me a day to do. Once I submitted that I was then told the vehicle couldn't be shipped to me directly and had to stop in ***** to pass inspection and be cleaned so they told me it would be ANOTHER few days. After 2 and half weeks I received the car on and it was completely FILTHY despite being shipped to me inside an enclosed trailer!! After looking over the vehicle I realized they did not send me the temporary tag!!! I finally had the car BUT COULD NOT DRIVE IT!!! I immediately messaged the manager ***** and of course he never responded!!! I texted on Monday and they told me that the person handling my tag was not in the office and they couldn't do anything to help me!!! So here I am with a car that I cant even drive because there is no tag. I want my deposit back and they can get their car on their own dime!!!!

      I am rejecting this response because: This is the same generic message they respond to everyone with and nothing ever gets accomplished. I would love to purchase this vehicle to make this headache go away; however, my loan expired after 30 days and I had to resubmit a new application. My interest has now gone up to 6.9% making my monthly payment now out of my reach to afford. I would like this problem resolved by dropping the price of the vehicle to make up the difference in price for my loan. It is more than fair and will prevent you from having to spend $1000 in shipping the car back to PA. My monthly payment was going to be $254. Figure out how I can get the same monthly payment with my new interest rate loan and then I will drop this complaint.

      I purchased my new car in Mid August. The process itself was less than satisfactory due to lack of communication from the company. I did eventually receive my car, however, I am still waiting on my tag. The temporary tag expired 2 months ago. I am having to illegally drive my car daily. I have been calling their customer service ********************** almost daily asking for help with this situation. No one returns calls. Every. Single. Day. I am told someone will call me back regarding the issue and I have not once received a call. All I want is to be legally driving my vehicle. Can someone please just give me a status update and tell me how this will be resolved??

      My complaint is for the registration for the car i picked up from a dealer ship owned by driveway on the 22nd of Oct and for my car that i dropped off with the title in hand. The websites says when they get your car old from you, you immediately get paid. It was not a trade for the new car because the money im getting for it was not applied to the new car. Instead, im told i have to wait 30 days when im told my car is already being processed for their wholesaler. As for the registration, when i got the car, the temp tags are only for 20 days, not 30, but they are making me wait 30 days TO START the process of registration. I drive the new car everyday, so i already hit over 400 miles. ****** the car back is out of the question and i know they wouldn't give my ***** back, which im fine with the new car. My solution was for them to take the registration fees off of my bill and i can do it myself so i don't have to keep talking to customer service because they don't help with anything. Im not looking to constantly be in contact with driveway, i just want to be able to drive the car legally and pay whatever i need to pay.

      Purchased a car at Driveaway in June 2022. I have emailed on a weekly basis to the customer representatives and was informed they were having issues with obtaining the title of the car. My temporary tags have since expired and I have still not received either the registration or plates on a vehicle I purchased in June. I just want my plates and tags to drive the car legally.

Attached is the **************** Vehicle report showing that the vehicle was titled in the consumers name and plates were issued on 12/1/2022. IF they have not already, the permanent plates should be arriving soon.

      I purchased my vehicle at the end of August 2022. My temporary tags will expire in 2 days. I've called them everyday for the past week and they keep telling me the paperwork with DMV is completed and will research and call me back. No call backs and no one is even trying to get this issue resolved. I was told the agent keep putting my file as complete since 10/4 but it's not complete but yet can't provide me another temporary tag until this issue is resolved. A whole lot of excuses with no resolution. Then what happens while the car is not registered still and my temporary tags are going to expire in 10/28. Will I be charged a fee from *** for not being registered yet? Sounds like a lawsuit to me and I will be looking into it.

      I bought a car from Driveway 2 months ago. It was delivered on September 15th. I am still waiting for the registration and the license plate. I called several times and no one can give me a reasonable explanation about where things are. No one can tell me when I will receive them. I paid $5000 down payment and cannot drive the car. I also did not get any payment notices. I don't want to be late on my payments. Nobody knows when and to whom I will be paying the rest.

The customer was informed that we are still awaiting proof of insurance to complete the registration. That concern was resolved. As of 11/18/2022, proof of insurance was received, and the deal was booked with Driveway. We will be reaching out to the customer with next steps.

      I am rejecting this response because: It is now December 1st and I still DO NOT have my license plate NOR registration papers for the car I bought 3 months ago. They never give me any updates. I have to call them almost everyday to see where things are. As of yesterday, I was told that everything was in order for my paperwork to be submitted to DMV office but the person in charge of sending it has not sent it yet. When I ask why not? There is no response... I am furious. This is ridiculous. This company needs to be shut done. They should not be allowed to operate like this.
