I purchased two vehicles from driveway.com/lithia Motors in July and August of 2022. After almost 3 months I finally received the tags on one of my vehicles and still cannot get the tags on my other vehicle and every time you call customer care they lie to you and tell you that they are processing it, that it has been returned from the dmv, which they do not do. Or they just don't have any information and can't tell me anything I am tired of getting the runaround on why I cannot receive my tags I will never do business with this place again if I can just get my paperwork to get my tags for this truck I will be refinancing my loan so that I never have to deal with this terrible company again you would think after buying two vehicles that their customer service would care that you can't drive a $40,000 vehicle and haven't been able to for the last 2 months because they can't get their paperwork together but nobody at that place cares what you were going through or that it is their fault. I have talked to just about every customer service person at this company they all promised to call you back and no one ever does and then when you call back and say oh yes I talked to you the other day oh I'm sorry I must have dropped the ball on that! I am rejecting this response because: you have had sufficient time to figure this out it is over 2 months now and no response or phone call or text gets responded to.. I honestly regret ever even doing business with this place this company needs a reality check maybe a lawsuit or two will make them double check their priorities. Never will I ***** recommend this way of buying a car worst place ever. I have had no plates since 9/18 and am expected to pay a payment for my vehicle to sit in the driveway. This is not right and I will keep complaining because I as a customer should be happy and I am definately not. No one should have to endure this stress its not fair. Get me my hard *** plates or pay for a rental until you can get it thru the dmv if not this is a scam if I ever saw one.

I am paying my payments in full on time yet I have a lawn ornament because its now 3 months Ive been begging for plates, I never get a legit statement back just dates that come and go and pawned off to the next worker. The worst car buying experience possible. Had two cars sold from under me after I had already been approved on that specific vehicle. Took two months to register my vehicle. Even after registered they gave me a new tag instead of transferring my old plate which costed me an additional 500$. Common sense would show that if a customer is trading in two cars surely you would think to transfer a plate, not to mention I told 10 different associates I was planning on transferring before, during, and after my purchase. Not to mention not a single associate will return my messages or calls. Awful business experience from a poorly run company. I would like a refund on the charges for my plate.Business Response

I was sold a car online that did not match photos listed on the driveway.com website as there were numerous scratches all around the body of the car that were not called out in the ad or the pictures. When I was sent a repair order that indicated there were dings and scratches on the car, I asked if they had been repaired and was assured they were fixed by dentwizard. When the car was delivered, it was clear no professional repairs had been made and, in fact, on some parts of the car it appeared someone with no repair experience had attempted to poorly cover up scratches with a paint pen that didnt match the color of the car. On 9/27. I immediately contacted the 3 people I had been working with at Driveway and the ************ dealer in ********** (the car reseller) and no one answered my two emails asking for some guidance on why the car arrived in such poor condition. I submitted a request to return the car on Oct 4 to get my money back (paid in full via wire transfer) and a refund on shipping and was told it would take 3-5 days to arrange car transport and they would not start the process to return funds until within 7 days of picking up the car. Its now 9 days later, I found another used car locally I want to buy but I can do nothing because I am stuck with the car and no return of my $31k. Throughout the process, the staff have been unprofessional, dishonest, unclear about what their selling process is and completely unconcerned about providing a good customer experience.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: while the car was finally picked up last Thursday, Oct 13th, I have still received no update as to when my money will be refunded. They will tell me only that it could take between 1 to 3 weeks despite my request that they refund me the money asap as it causing delays for me to be able to purchase another used car at a local dealer. Additionally, someone at Lithia accounting department was also responsible for filing paperwork to process title and registration for the vehicles so when I asked her to confirm she had stopped processing the paperwork she said she needed the temporary tags, which were on the car when it was retrieved, so it seems no one at LIthia communicated to her that I reached out over two weeks earlier asking to return the car. It's unclear if this will cause problems for me to register and insure a different car in the state, but hopefully not.

It's been over a month and we're still without our car (and without a title, which puts us over our states 30-day requirement to register after purchasing).First, delivery was poorly coordinated and days late. My wife found out at 10pm at night that she needed to meet the driver somewhere to pick up the car (we were told it would be dropped off at our house). Not good!When I checked out the car the next day I found it had a horrible vibration at idle. It took over a week to approve the repairs under warranty (which, incidentally, put us past our 7 day no-questions-asked return window). Turns out it had 4 bad motor mounts. Something like this is EXTREMELY OBVIOUS and the car should NEVER have made it off the lot in that condition! This is more the physical dealer's fault, but Driveway still bears responsibility as the face of the operation.As I write this, the car is stuck at the shop over a month after purchasing because they (understandably) won't release it without payment and the warranty company (which I can only communicate with through Driveway) is painfully slow and uncommunicative. At this rate there's a good chance I'll have to pay the $1300 bill myself to get the car back and god only knows if I'll ever see that money from the warranty company. What a nightmare!I've had some terrible car-buying experiences before, but this takes the cake. They found a way to s**** something up (sometimes multiple things) at literally every step of the process.I will say the people I have dealt with have been pleasant enough, but as often as not they can't find the answer to a question or don't get back to me as promised. I financed a 2016 ecoboost mustang, maybe like 2 weeks later it got delivered September 20th. Here we are in October and I've yet to receive my dmv paperwork or title to get it registered. I purchased a vehicle from Driveway that was delivered to me on 9.8.2022. I received the vehicle with no temp tags even though I was told that the tags would be provided to me at the time of delivery. I had to reach out to the company several times throughout the next week in order for them to email me a temp tag. The temp tag expired on October 3 and I had received no phone calls or updates on when I would be receiving my tag or title. I reached out to them a week before the temp tag was to expire to get an update on when I would receive my actual tag and title. They informed me that there was "nothing in their system that showed them when I would be getting my tag or title". They said they would call me back when there was update, which they never did. My temp tag was due to expire in a few days with no word from Driveway, I reached out to them again for another temp tag and they told me they would put in a request to the ****** *** for one and it would take 7 days to process. My temp tag was already going to be expired, this would have left me not able to drive the vehicle I had purchased from them. They acted like there was nothing they could do about the matter and were going to leave me out to dry. I didn't accept that response and let them know they needed to give me a rental car to drive until another tag could be issued. I wasn't able to get a rental until two days after the first temp tag was expired. A rental car was issues to me for 5 days (until Oct 10), during which I have still received no calls or updates from Driveway about my tags or title. I have been calling and nobody answers in the *** department. It is ridiculous that I've had to make all contact attempts with no reciprocation. I have had my vehicle for over a month and still do not have my title, tag, or registration. If this matter is not resolved soon, I will be taking legal action. It is illegal and fraudulent to not provide a title to the vehicle owner within 30 days of purchase.Business Response

I bought a ****** Highlander hybrid on July 14th through Driveway.com. They told me that they couldnt not find a driver to get my car to me and pick up the ******* Navigator that I was trading in. I later found out it had been transported to ****, but it had been there for at least a week and no one could get it to me. I chose to go there myself and pick it up on Aug 1st. In that phone conversation, they agreed to refund me part of my delivery fees. It is now Oct 1st and I have not received a refund, paperwork, or registration for the **** I am past my allowed time to drive on my purchase agreement without license plates and registration. Two weeks ago they had assured me that the check had been sent out and that they paperwork was being mailed. A week later, they said that none of that actually happened. I cant count how many times I have called them. I am never allowed to talk to anyone in charge and no call backs. Im a mom with three small kids and this is usually my only vehicle. I purchased a Vehicle through Driveway on 6/16/2022. I paid sales tax and registration fees and vehicle was supposed to be registered and plates sent. They never were. Driveway said I could pay to have the vehicle registered and they would reimburse me. I paid and submitted receipts to them. They only sent me a partial refund for some reason (I paid $812.86 and received a refund of $394.39) . I reached back out to them several times with no resolution. I attached a photo of the text message from them saying I would get reimbursed, the original receipt, and the new out of pocket receipt paid to CT DMV. Throughout the entire process Driveway's communication has be horrendous. I would have to call multiple times to get a response. Also the vehicle condition was grossly misrepresented. I paid this company ****** for this car and the condition it arrived in was unacceptable I have been trying to get them to replace the. We are in receipt of your letter, in which you relay the concerns of the consumer regarding their vehicle's tires. Please be assured that we take the concerns of our customers very seriously. As such, we will reach out to them directly to address their concern. Senior management spoke with ****** on 10/5/2022.We will reimburse him for 2 tires (up to $500) and fix a fog light.

Based on out internal notes, he should have his plates, everything was squared away and the end of September.
