I looked at a few diminished value companies before I hired autoloss. I was impressed with how fast I received the diminished value report and how fast I received the check from State Farm. An excellent company to work with. *****

This place is not money back guarantee like it states. I lost $300 dealing with them. They want you to do all the work and they just write letters to insurance companies for you to send to them. I can do that myself. I wasted my gas running from dealerships to get estimates. Even online quotes weren't good enough. What a waste of time and money.

We help every client from start to finish.. Sometimes to help customers get the correct amount of diminished value we ask clients to get a dealer quote so we can write up a demand letter to help all customers. At the end of the process if the client does not have at least the appraisal fee for their claim all clients get the fee back. This client had just started the process and just wanted the fee back.. We told them to get the quote online so we could help them further. This client was very unhappy abut having to do this. ************************* Owner of ********

I was told this process rather fast. Instead it's been months and very hard to communicate with the company. I wait a minimum of two days for replies and sometimes get no reply at all. After the first letter, you are left to your own devices. So essentially you are paying for a one time letter. After that all the work is on you. Hardly worth the time or effort.

Typically, the claims settle in 30-60 days of us turning in the DV claims for the customers. We have so many emails between us and this customer that I can not include them in this email. Any prospective customers' please email us and we can forward you the tons of emails between us and this customer including many demand letters. ************************* Owner of Autoloss.

Buyer beware before retaining services from any auto appraiser who specializes in DV report. In **********, there are tort laws; however, there are no legal precedence or protocol in computing property damage i.e. DV from a loss caused by the at-fault driver. Additionally, a DV report will contain the DV dollar figure and other supporting data. In **********, it is considered the "maximum" DV that can be settled. For me, I was able to settle 50% of the maximum DV dollar figure outside the small claims court. Bottom line, do your BBB research on auto appraisers, study the laws/regulations in your state, verify and get the auto appraiser's written refund policy before sending them money, and try to get free legal counsel on property tort damage resulting from auto accidents (oftentimes, law firms will have good referrals to reputable auto appraisers who can represent you in court if required). Remember there are many reputable auto appraisers who specializes in DV reporting; buyer beware.

Stay away from this company. They'll mislead you into thinking you have the right to file a claim for Diminished Value, so that you pay their fee. I reached out to them to find out if I was entitled to file a claim. They told me "yes", you can get between $9K to $14K", at no point they told me that since my vehicle was a lease I didn't have the legal right to file the claim. They didn't mention this at all, but until I asked for my money back (my claim was rejected right away of course) and that's what they said that that "money back guarantee" doesn't apply to leased vehicles.

This client had a leased vehicle DV claim. She did not tell us the vehicle was leased till we had been working on the claim. Next, the insruance company stated in a letter they would pay the DV Claim to the leasing company because they owned the vehicle. The client did not want that. Any prospective customers please ***** us and we can forward confidential information about this client. Thanks, ************************* Owner of Autoloss

I reached out to the "experts" (according to their website) to find out if I was entitled to file a DV claim or not. Since they're the so called experts they should ask the proper questions before giving erroneous information to a prospect client. It's clear they just tell everyone they are entitle to a DV claim to collect their fees, and then they say "oh but you didn't tell ** your car was a lease". They have many complaints in the ****** ********** of ******* for this same issue.
