I needed to make a QR code for my child's school. QR.io was the first result when I searched so I assumed it was reputable. Their site tells you you can have a free code with a trial, however they then deactivated it suddenly and without reason.Their site says the following, but it is untrue:"Static QR Codes will continue to work after the free trial expires."This is a deceptive and unfair company. I hope that they are exposed as the criminals they are.

This company is advertising free ** code generation and comes up first in ****** searches for free ** code generation with a title stating they offer free ** code generation. After a period of time they deactivate the ** code and anyone scanning the code is sent to a website stating that the owner of the website hasn't paid them. They then give the option to pay $35 monthly for ** code reactivation, effectively either holding your printed materials hostage, or making them completely unusable for business

So this company is a QR code generator and yes they trick you into doing it that your website so they say it's free but then after 7 days your QR codes go dead. If you don't pay them okay fine that's fine with me. So I sign up for the $35 cuz I only need them per month. The problem is since then they've debited my account five different times in the span of 2 weeks and they keep playing games with me pretending not to know who I am or whatever. The problem is also exacerbated by the fact that they have several different names. QR code ************* qrio they're all the same company. I want my money back. I do not want to have to shut down my bank account but I will. If I am complaining to the credit card companies and consumers, I better get my money back immediately because I've had enough. This is not cute. I feel very badly for people who end up having to need their QR codes for longer because you're screwed. You definitely are going to have to keep paying them. It's not worth it and this **** ********* and ****** ********* I will e tracking down

In June 2024 an employee of ******************** ordered a service from the aforementioned business and we received the emailed receipt confirmation as well as the service. That employee is no longer employed at ******************** and since our credit card ending in 4 digits, 9861, was on file, this June our card was charged again. We have no access to this former employees' emails so my coworker and I reached out to customer support to get the receipt. ********************** answered our email but the link they included in the email to get the receipt is not valid and blocked by our firewall. I have since sent 3 emails to tis company asking for a resolution with no result. Their social media pages are filled with the same complaints calling this company a scam. I will have no other choice but to resort to canceling our company credit card claiming fraud.

I created 1 QR code. It asked me to select a 'plan' and I selected "FREE". No where did it say it was a 14-day trial and I NEVER pressed any button for a subscription. It did ask me for $1.95 for the 1 QR code that I created. Then, less than 2 weeks later, it charged by credit card $49.95! I investigated the charge and it was shown as a monthly subscription!! As soon as I found it, I went back to the website and CANCELLED the subscription (that I didn't agree to) and then sent them a message asking for a refund. This appears to be a complete SCAM! I was irritated enough that it advertises that you can create a QR code for FREE and I paid $1.95. But to be scammed out of $49.95 (so far) is criminal.

They have locked access to our account despite being up to date with payments. I have reached out five times and they have left all inquiries mostly unanswered. Only once did I get in touch with an agent but then that agent stopped responding to me. I just want to make sure our account is deleted and no longer charged anything. This is in regard to an account under the email ****************************

Duplicate billed by company in November with no response on resolution. Cancelled services in November and then billed again in January. Their website will not allow payment method to be deleted or changed and no response to emails sent to this company.

QR.io advertises free QR codes. After a week or so, when you have used the codes on printed materials, they inform you it has expired and you need a membership to continue using it. I panicked, and signed up for what I thought was a monthly plan, cancellation anytime. I would pay the $35 and cancel immediately. That in itself is false advertising. This sham company charged my card $306.96!! When I contacted them to dispute the charge, they informed me to read the fine print that says no refunds, no exchanges! For a QR code?? I immediately cancelled the printing of materials and had to pay to resteart them with a proper QR code. I'm out about $1000. There is no base for charging $306.96 for one QR code that I'm not even using!!There are many complaints about this sham company.I want a full refund, and I would like this company to be exposed for false advertising, intentionally misleading information, and fraud. Shame on them.

they say nothing about a trial period. offer free QR. I use it and pay for printing, mailing and then 2 weeks later it stops working and there is something about a 7 day trial. they offer me 50 for unlimited use and I will accept as i have already committed by mailing and printing the marketing material. But initially they wanted 15 a month forever or 350 annual. They are defiantly guilty of bait and switch and fraud in advertisement. They are just Squeezing $ out of individuals and Businesses in an unfair business practice. I would like to see them sued and have to return money to them many business and people they basically are black mailing.
