I received an email from this ** about an application for credit that I did not apply for this is the account number that the email is giving MMC559880153 this is what the email says : Thank you for applying for a Milestone Mastercard issued by ******** of Missouri. In order to **mplete your application, we request the following information:Copy of a valid driver's license verifying your name, date of birth, and physical address; and a **py of a non-expired government-issued id verifying your social security ******** of Missouri c/o Concora Credit P.O. Box 4477 ************* *****,**, you may fax it to ** ************ I dont know if this is fraud or a scam but I did not apply for any credit. This is **ming up in my credit report.Business response

This company opened a Mastercard that I did not apply for under the name of milestonecard.com. They also opened a Mastercard for my daughter, *******************, without her knowledge. When I called, I spoke to a foreign representative. I asked for someone who could speak English and told them both cards were fraudulently opened and that they had to be closed. When I asked for further information, the one rep refused to give me any information as I filed a fraud claim. I have filed separate complaints with the *** and our local sheriff's department. I believe this is a case of identity theft and continue to take steps to stop further theft.Business response

I received a credit card offer from this company , I applied and was approved. Waiting for card to arrive so I can review details before activating the card . Received an email saying my statement was ready and that I owe ****** for the annual fee . The website made no statement that I was activating an account right then . I called in to cancel the account and am being told still owe them ****** . I have never used this account , havnt even received the card from the account .Business response

I have a MIlestone credit card with a $300 limit, I use it when on vacation (where I am now). I made an online payment for the full balance on 2/26/24.***** Fargo debited my account on 2/27/24 Boarded a cruise ship on 3/4/24 and saw that the available credit was $0 still. 6 days after my bank debited my account.I called on 3/6/24, they told me that it could take up to 14 days to for the available credit. That is 10 days after payment was made. I was offering to show them that the funds were out my account (I ended up faxing it to them, but they didn't seem to care)Maybe I overreacted, but don't think that I did, because I said, you might as well close my account IF IT IS USELESS FOR 1/2 THE MONTH.So tonight I checked the final charges on the cruise, and guess what? I owe $280, as expected, and what this card was for. Giving it another shot, I called Milestone and if anything could be done so I am not in cruise ship jail. I was then told, that my account was closed! I again mention that I can provide written proof that the payments cleared my bank. As I told the customer service supervisor on the 5th, if I were her, I would find a way to make this right, because when wake up to check out, and the funds are there, I am going to contact the **** and every applicable agency. as I said that, I realized why they operate this way. If I knew that it would take so long for the funds to be available, AND MORE TO THE POINT, WHY THE DONT ACCEPT PROOF OF CLEARED FUNDS. I would not pay off the card and use the cash. This means a balance on my account that is charged interest. If this is the day-to-day practice, the *** should look into it. In addition, it affects my credit score, which affects my borrowing rates. etc. I mentioned, if this is widespread, a class action attorney would love this. I am telling you this because, for ZERO expense (make my credit available) none of what I just mentioned, would occur.Business response

I opened this account in January 2024 for an attorney fee, the date the minimum amount due for each month is on the 4th. February 12, 2024 I made a payment for the minimum amount due, however they reported my account as delinquent when it has not been over 30 days. This is in correct and not accurate. How can an account be past due when it's not even over 30 days? This company is known for its illegal practices, not disclosing fees, charges and illegally report in accurate information.Business response

HI TBOM / CCI; BBB: I was shocked when I reviewed my credit report and found late payment on the dates below: MARCH 2024.....I am not sure how this happened, I believe that I had made my payments to you when I received my statements. My only thought is that my monthly statement did not get to me. I do ask in light of the good standing relationship we have that you remove this 30 day late from my credit report and refund any late fees assessed on my account.I do not believe it is accurate and would rather not have to spend more time than necessary for both of us to resolve this situation. I appreciate your help regarding this and look forward to keep having the positive experience that I have had with you in the past.Business response

My online app says I have a zero balance and no payment due . I just checked my credit report and it says Im 3 months behind on payments . This is incorrect and I was never notified of an any due payment or statement balance. I have proof to show it states I have a zero balance and wont even allow me to make a payment. If there is balance which I am unaware of I am willing to pay the balance and close the account if it is removed from my credit bureaus stating Im late on payments when their app states I am in fact not behind on payments.Business response

I received a notice from Concora Credit, which is the company that holds the credit card for *********** in which they noted to me in a letter dated February 26, 2024, how they will increase APR from *****% to *****%. I have good credit and overpay payments. They informed me it wasn't personal, but they have decided to increase rates. This is unacceptable, as the Feds had noted they would start decreasing interest rates in June. Why is a credit card company increasing rates so high? This is just wrong!! They should be required to lower their rates, not increase them. I am an individual who not only pays what is asked, but double, so it is not about my not paying properly my account. I informed them I would be closing my account and would probably even stop shopping at *********** as this does not support a store that needs it. They need to be stopped from doing this, as it is ethically wrong, especially at such a high rate increase.Business response

Milestone Credit put a hold on my payment. I call** my bank and they said it clear** when I call them they said there policy is to hold every month for 14 days and I ask** the. Manager and he said to make sure funds are there but yet he told me they have my payment. By law the. An only hold my payment for three to five days. I want this business clos** down. I call** 4 different times and all day they have my money but there's a hold on it. They can't explain to me why when they have my payment. I'm breaking out I.
