    Horrible experience with online ordering and pickup. Website information regarding inventory is inaccurate. We ordered a Christmas blowup gnome. The website said there were SIX in stock. We received an email to come and pick it up. We arrived and they tried to give us a much cheaper elf blowup. The manager advised they didn't have any in stock. We asked her why we were told to come in and pick up something they don't even have in inventory. More importantly, why does the website indicate there are six in inventory. Bait and switch marketing AND false advertising. Pretty sure there aren't any of the advertised specials in any of their stores. I called ************* and the guy was sympathetic but offered no explanation. He just advised me to call the store to make sure they have the item you ordered online. HUH????

    They sell sofas of poor quality. They rip and tear and snag. They talk you into purchasing an insurance policy that wont even cover the snags to the sofa. The manager promises to purchase new cushions to see if that will help but the whole sectional is just a piece of c*** I will never purchase anything there again. Their customer service ***** as well.

    ************** store is an absolute dumpster fire. Manager ***** is rude and completely ruined my experience based completely on our interaction. The store itself is a mess and waiting to PAY for a furniture item is about a hour long process. The staff is slow and has zero since of urgency. ***** might be slower and I am pretty sure she went to the back and just sat. She also is using profanity on the floor in front of my 4 year old. I was not combative and have been a Big Lots shopper for a minute. (Also a card holder) Comparing this to the Livonia store is NIGHT and DAY. I cannot believe that corporate has not spot checked this store. I was mind blown but the complete disrespect by *****. To the customer before me and then was talking about quitting to me. I had NO interaction with her or problem but I cannot sit and say nothing of how she conducted her behavior.

    If I could give negative stars I would. I purchased a couch in April 2021. First it was back ordered and it took forever to get in. They had a display which they would not let you buy but that is not my complaint. I purchased the protection plan warranty for an additional 3 years. Not quite a year has passed and the recliner in the couch is not working. Big Lots will not take the couch back and stated I need to contact the warranty company. I have been arguing with them for 3 months now. Still the couch is not fixed. Looks like it is not going to be fixed. I keep getting the run around and say I have to do this then I have to do that and I have to send in my receipt and now I have to send it to someone else. I will never buy from them again and will not purchases their plan again. I can not get the store to help me and I can not get anywhere with Allstate protection Plan.

    I normally have no problem using my coupons I receive on line. Today I try and purchase 2 items for approximately $11.99/each before taxes. My coupon is for $10 off $20 or more. My total comes up over $20.00. I ask the employee why wasn't my discount taken and his reply: "The manager said they been having problems and they aren't able to do anything about it". Really? That's why no one shops here amymore.

    I was told by a friend I should shop here because I would get "points" and save money. I'd also get emails regarding sales and promotions. NOT!! I've spoken to the manager at the ********, ** store several times and never has my lack of emails and information regarding my "points" ever been resolved. Why bother shopping here? I get irritated every time they ask for my phone number to give me my "points!"

    I ordered my very first couch through Big Lots because they had a great deal, and I have a tight budget. I tacked on the $149 BIG Delivery fee, even though my couch was only $299, because I don't have a truck. I ordered on June 23, 2022. When I placed my order, it said they'd be in contact with me in **** days to schedule delivery. I chatted and they said they were experiencing delays and that they changed it to 4-6 weeks. Okay, fine. Ryder First Mile received my couch on Monday, August 15th. They called me the same day at around 12:30PM and asked about scheduling an appointment for delivery on Wednesday, August 17th. I told them that day worked for me, and asked for a time window, and she said they were still working on the schedule and that I'd be given a time window after they figure it out (I can't remember when she said I'd get a call, it was a bit hectic). Wednesday rolls around and I waited all day for a call from the delivery company. No call, no couch. I called their customer service, and after waiting 20 minutes on hold, I request a call back. She calls me back almost immediately, and says it was NEVER SCHEDULED! So, she put in a request to have the scheduling department call me back and set up a time, and said someone would call by Monday, August 22nd. It is now Monday, August 22nd and NO ONE has called me to set up delivery. I tried to call the **************** line and sat on hold for 45 minutes before requesting a call back. It's now been 40 minutes since I requested a call back, and still no call. RYDER FIRST MILE IS A NIGHTMARE!! Big Lots' **************** just asked if I spoke with the 3rd Party ****************, and I have, and now I am waiting on an email from the "specialist" at Big Lots. I don't know what else to do, and this is ridiculous. My first "new furniture" experience has been seriously disappointing and I DO NOT recommend shopping with Big Lots for furniture. I'm at 8 weeks 4 days since I ordered and am still without a couch!

    I purchased a living room set and used 2 credit cards to do so. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the order as the dimensions to the couch would not fit the doorway. Well the assistant manager ****, made an error crediting my cards, he put the wrong amount for the credit in the wrong card. He is very unprofessional and unapologetic about his mistake. So I have a $402.00 credit to the wrong card and a $100.00 credit to the wrong card. Meanwhile Im accruing late fees because of his error. He said it isnt his fault and there is nothing he can do. I went and spoke to the store manager and she also said there is nothing she can do so basically they have stolen $500.00 from me as the cc company will not allow my card to be used due to their error. I have requested a check for the credit card company and they will not issue it to me. I was told the retailer had to do the return, but they have refused to fix Tonys error. The unprofessionalism at the *********, ** store is unreal!! Neither one of these people should be in any type of customer service field or management position. Beware they are bunch of scam artists, clearly the company teaches them to treat their customers in such a manner. Needless to say onto small claims court.
