    Today I purchased a couch online on the Big Lots website to be picked up in store in Norwalk, Ohio. I had a person there with a truck ready to help me pick it up. The worker named ***** told me that even though I purchased the item online that the store had the item being held for someone else, someone else who hadn't paid for the item. I was standing there with my receipt and a person ready to help me take it, but he said I could not have it because the item was being held for someone else who didn't even pay for the item nor paid for a hold on it. It did not make any sense. I told the man to refund the money that I paid for the item he was refusing to give me and Ill never shop at any of their stores again.

    When walking into Big Lots @ 11672 E. Colonial Dr. 32817 today about 10 am is was sweltering HOT I ask the Lady at the register was the AC Broken she stated Yes for weeks although she did state AC was fixed but broke again. As I proceeded to try & shop I felt as if I would pass out being it was that HOT < I decided to leave store being I could barely walk aisles & breathe at the same time. When I approached register I told Lady at register I could not shop being that it was so HOT I was afraid I'd pass out, she stated she had actually passed out at work due to No AC < I think this is Deplorable that an Employee & Customers are subjected to this < Do Better BIG LOTS! Someone at BBC please reach out to Manager at Big Lots & Find out whats going on & how will they resolve AC issue in a timely manner being its Summer at temperatures are already High outside & not expected to be this HOT Inside of Big Lots.

    Do not use their online ordering. Worse experience ever! They took my money from my account, I called my bank and got verification but when I call big lots they say I don’t have an order. And nobody wants to help me figure this out. They just keep telling me to call my bank. Now it’s a holiday weekend and they just ruined it for my children. I have no pool which is what I ordered and no not much money cuz they haven’t returned it. Not a good place at all!!! Very disappointed. I shopped here all the time but will never spend a dime here again

    They price their items online as 5% off. They don’t offer in store pick and only delivery so they can recharge you the 5% for a “handling fee”. Now if they offered in store or delivery. I can understand. They only offer delivery so they can charge that 5% back to the customer putting the price of the item at its original amount. That’s manipulative and false advertising. All one stars that Big Lots CO has, tells me I’m not the only customer they have done this to.

    Horrible Horrible Horrible. I placed an order incorrectly FIVE minutes after placing it and was told they weren't able to adjust my address and that they could process a cancelation on the 14th. On the 16th, I received a text messaging saying my order had shipped! To the wrong address despite me telling them over and over again that I had made an error. I called again and was told repetitively that they wouldn't do anything as it had shipped, despite me having called days prior to advise them. Instead I was told to call THEIR VENDOR. I have never in my life had such terrible customer service.*

    Big lots is the worst place to buy furniture! They sell all damaged junk, spent money to rent truck, brought furniture home, opened box, dresser completely busted. Returned and asked for refund for rental truck told to call customer service. Left a message with someone twice still no call back. People in store could care less about the 2 hours wasted picking this furniture up and could care less that money was wasted on rental truck. Don’t waste your time shopping here because what you see on display is not what you will get when you open the box. Stay clear of big lots pay the extra few dollars and save yourself a lot of unnecessary aggravation. A good company would at least return your call after you tried twice to speak with someone.

    Ordered a couch that came with a rip in it. I wanted a replacement arm piece. Now I want a refund.
    It was an online order. I talked to someone online, and they told me to contact the store it came from. I contacted the store, and they told me there was nothing they could do because it was an online order. Called the help number again, and they told me they would file an official complaint and that I would be contacted in 2-3 business days.
    That was 3 (almost 4) days ago.
    I have been trying to contact someone almost daily. The call center claims they cannot contact the district manager or the claims people, but assures me they will call me within 72 hours, even though it has been 72 hours already. If they will eventually call me, there should be a way for me to call the claims people. The manager at the call center supposedly can’t do anything. They keep telling me they’re escalating it, to no avail. Tried to ask for help from the Twitter account, and all they could tell me was to wait 72 hours.

    I paid for what I thought was going to be an outdoor sectional. I paid for two of them. They were in a box with a picture of a whole sectional. When I went to pick them up I realized it was only one piece of the sectional, which is totally useless unless you have all the pieces, which they did not even have. Because they were on sale Big Lots would not let me return then for a refund.

    This company is a joke. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. I ordered for cyber monday online and received my order. When I opened my order it was the wrong item so naturally I called customer service to correct the issue. The customer care employee told me to contact the store i ordered from. So I did. in order for me to get the correct item, I was told to return the item and reorder the product. I drove 30 minutes out of my way to return the item and reordered the product. When I called the store I originally ordered from, I asked the manager if she received my order and she told me no. I would need to call customer care to see where my order went. So I did just that. The customer care associate told me where it was ordered from and I asked to change the stores. I was told it couldn’t work that way so I requested it to be cancelled. I was told it was cancelled. I called the store I ordered from and informed them what the update was. The response of the manager was for me to call customer service AGAIN and place the order with them. When I did this I was told my order would be FREE and that it would be sent to the specialist and I should hear back within 24-48 hours. I contacted customer service again after no response by the 48 hour mark. No customer care associate could give me an update and told me to be patient. Finally, after a week, I reached out again expressing my concerns which then I was told that I would not receive the product for free and they would only reimburse me for the shipping, which they only reimbursed me for one shipping order. The order I requested to cancel was never cancelled and I was charged for it. There is NO reason I should have dealt with a mistake on this companies part. I just received an email back from customer care saying they cannot handle this request and to contact the original store I bought this at. It’s been two weeks and I’m still dealing with their mistake.

    I made a purchase of 2 recliners and I put the payment on my big lots credit card, and now I got a bill for a payment, but I don’t think it’s right that I have to make a payment when I haven’t received my merchandise. Thank you
