What a scam. I was not warned in advance that a service trip charge would be $60 plus a labor charge of $145, all for a 5 minute trip to change a sensor from one zone to another. It took more than a week for the company to respond to several emails and phone calls, all to tell me that I should have asked for the price in advance. How about it's your company's responsibility to be transparent? Even now, I've spent more than 20 minutes on hold just trying to cancel my contact. Do not use Securitas.

Stay away from this company. Only giving one star because no stars is not permitted. Two years ago, one of their reps came to my 88 yr old mother's door and apparently electronically signed her up to a 5 yr contract while telling her that she it was just a trial and she was not obligated for any period of time. They also have terrible (almost non-existent) customer support/service - at least that is our experience as a residential security customer. Any time you call with an issue, expect to wait for ~40 min to talk to someone. Also, it is not uncommon to wait 40 min and then have the line go dead. Last year, when my mother was having issues with the locks (i.e. they weren't working) it took from May 25 to October 16 (and many emails and phone calls) to get a technician out to fix the problem. This year, I have been calling and emailing since 8 weeks ago to get technical assistance. Had ******** arranged with customer support that a technician was to call us on June 21 - but the technician never called. I sent an email on June 24 noting that the call had been arranged but did not happen and asking for another time to talk to a technician. Up to today (July 8), I still haven't heard anything. If this company does not want to service the people it has under contract, it should release them from the contract without penalty and let them find another service provider.I have copies of all emails and a record of phone calls to substantiate this review.

This is in regards to ***** Securities and Securitas Technology in regards to a contract they made with my 90 yr old father . My father passed away and *********** want us to pay the remainder of the contract, which was a 5 year contract. Our biggest concern was that they are selling 5 year contracts to elderly people with what we feel is abusive, and taking advantage of elderly people. We wonder what other innocent people they are fraudulently selling these contract to. I am writing in regards to our fathers contract with ***** securities which has been cancelled. My family believes this contract was obtained with no regard to the best interests for our father and under false pretences. Our father had Macular Degeneration which made it impossible to read any form of small print. . Being the age of 90 at the time of the contract we do not believe he would have signed a 5 year plan knowing that if he passed away his estate would be obligated to pay the remaining amount. The contract states he was to have a door alarm. There was no door alarm on his apartment door. He lived in a controllled entry apartment, so would not have required this option. We believe that he likely did not know the extent of the obligation under the contract. This sounds like elder abuse, taking advantage of an elderly gentleman who may not have understood the terms of the contract or have the physical ability to read the fine print in the contract. We are appalled by the actions of this company and the actions of the person who talked him into this contract. We have had continuous problems contacting the company and getting responses from them about this problem.
