I am writing today to tell you about our experience building a house with Breyerwood Homes, LLC and to implore you to refrain from giving this company any more permits to continue to build until the company finishes the work on homes in the neighborhood, including my own, that begun over a year and a half ago. When we began the process of building our home over a year and a half ago, we anticipated delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it has now been one year since we moved in, and Breyerwood Homes, LLC has yet to finish several areas of our home and has failed to fix several areas of shoddy handiwork, ripped screens, and faulty electrical wiring. When asked to finish work, Breyerwood Homes, LLC continues to ignore our requests, as well as the requests of our neighbors. When they do respond, they either tell us that the work will be done soon, or blames other contractors that they work with. For example, we have had two ripped screens and one faulty screen door for the past six months, and they continually tell us that they’ll be replaced soon, that “the guy” they work with is on vacation, that we’ve gotten a new representative, and that they’ve reached out and no one has responded. We had a toilet that leaked. A faulty water heater.We still have a backdoor that was not installed properly with a screen door that does not open properly. A window that will not open all the way. And floors on the second floor that were not secured to the subfloor. Our experiences are not exclusive to our home; we’ve spoken to the other four owners of the newly built homes
